Josh Rocky has just reached at Anita's home ,he knocks on the door. Anita opens,she is so surprised to see her boss on her door.
" May I enter please?" Josh asks Anita in a courteous way. Anita who is confused now is short of words,she doesn't know what to say to her boss.
" You may sir". Anita replies with a soft and fierce voice, Josh enter and sit.
" You not going to ask why I came here?, okay if you won't ask then I will say it, I came here to take you back to work but don't worry , am not taking you at where you resigned. You won't be my secretary anymore.
I need you to go on a date with Emmanuel Anderson and make him fall in love with you".
" But sir,I cannot do that. How can I make him fall in love with me when in the actual sense I don't love him?"
" See,am not negotiating with you,am commanding you as my employee". Josh says to Anita ruthlessly.
" But sir,I already resigned from work. That implies that am not your employee anymore ".
" How confident you're?___ but the confidence you've will not work at this time. It's true that you resigned but I haven't approved your resignation,that implies that you're still my worker. And a worker who purloined the company's jewelries, so am giving you a chance to make up for your mistake". Josh says as he gets close to Anita. Anita who is in fear now start to take steps behind. " What? You're in fear now? If you're like that now ,then what will happen when you're put in court?" Josh says in a mocking way.
" But sir,I haven't purloined anything from the company ".
" Do you think that anyone will believe you?
If I impose charges on you,no one will listen to your no sense because once Josh Rocky say,no one adds. I make the law and break it as well. This world works on money, all the police officials and judges survive on me so they do as I say.
Don't think of getting justice from them. The only solution you've now is to get prepared for your date".
"But why are doing this, sir?" " Dont ask questions,do what is needful ".
It's now the time for the date,Josh drops Anita by and he remains a distant place.
Anita has a ear pod in her ear,it's connected to her phone and the phone is connected to Josh's phone do that Josh can hear their conversation.
Emmanuel who has long waited, receive a smile after seeing Anita. He quickly extend a chair for Anita to sit on.
" I thought you won't agree to come ,but you failed my thoughts. Nice to meet you again". Emmanuel says with excitement.
" Why did you want to come on a date with me?" Anita asks with an angry voice. " Take it easy,I just wanted to see you again and thank you in a special way". Emmanuel replies.
" And you had to ask my employer? Do you think if you asked me I would have refused?" Anita says with anger.
" See,your boss needed a contract and I wanted to see you again so I asked her for help in exchange to meet with you. But am sorry if it offended you". Emmanuel says in a courteous way.
" Am telling you now, stop making me a medium of exchange am not a product. And stop pursuing me". Anita says as she hold up to leave the place, Emmanuel is trying to beg her but she has no interest in listening to him. Before she steps further, Josh commands her to stay through a phone call. Anita slowly settle down.
" Am staying on one condition, please stop looking for me again and using me as a medium of exchange". Anita tells Emmanuel.
" I can promise to stop using you as a medium of exchange but I can't promise to stop looking for you. Am sorry for that". Emmanuel tells Anita.
"So, why did you want to see me? Say it in a hurry I need to go back to work". Anita tells Emmanuel. "
Actually,I don't have much to say,I just wanted to see you again. Before going any further, I have something for you ". Emmanuel says as he pulls out a jewelry box from his pockets. And hands it over to Anita.
" What is this?" Anita asks curiously to know what is in the jewelry box. " You unlatch and find out".
Anita unlock the box , and find in a diamond necklace. " Did you like it ?" Emmanuel asks Anita, curious to know her answer. " Well ,I ____ I". Anita starts to stammer.
" It's okay if you didn't like it,I will get you another one". Emmanuel says " The truth is,I can't accept your gift. It is so expensive. I think it's time to go now ". Anita stand to leave but before leaving the place,Josh tells her to stay and accept the gift. Emmanuel helps her to put on the necklace.
" It looks good on you, it's just as beautiful like you". Emmanuel praises Anita, Anita smiles to him.
" Actually,I don't know your name". Emmanuel says with an intension to know Anita's name.
" Anita. Anita Ricky are my names". Anita tells Emmanuel. " Wow ,what are beautiful names,they sound sweet just like your voice. Well, am Emmanuel Anderson and most of my friends call me Emmander. This is because I didn't know how to write my names in kindergarten,I used to join them so they were read as one name. So my friends shortened the names and made it one name. Emmanuel tells Anita.
"But can I ask you something?" Emmanuel asks Anita. " You can ".
" You're not so cold and rude like that grumpy heartless boss of yours,but why do you act rude to me?" Emmanuel asks Anita. At Josh's side,he is bursting of anger because he was called grumpy and heartless.
" You idiot,am I heartless like your parents. They took away my everything,they made me to become like this. And now you're saying am heartless , thank your karma that you're far from me. Other ways, I would have ended you ". Josh says with anger.
" I need to go ,thank you for inviting me to this date". Anita try to escape the question.
" It's okay if you won't answer but can you accept my lift?"
" No,I am going to border a taxi. Thank you". " Taxis are not good to ladies,let me take you". Emmanuel insists. " I use taxi everyday so am used to them,you shouldn't worry".
" Just let me take you ,you shouldn't fear, am not going to do anything to you". Emmanuel perseveres.
" Why don't you let me be?, do you think I need your help? What makes you think that I need you? Leave alone". Anita says ruthlessly to Emmanuel. " Am sorry if I over do it, I didn't know. Am going now so take care". Emmanuel apologies to Anita politely.
" I should be the one to be sorry, am really sorry but I have much on my mind". Anita says to Emmanuel.
