───「 Human POV 」───
Four days ago, inside the Eastern Osaka Command Center.
"Commander-in-Chief Hirozo Sato, we have no major concerns about your long-term plans for Godzilla—whether it awakens in 20–30 days, 30–50 days, or beyond."
"But the plan for the next 4–20 days? That's another story. Don't you think it's too risky?"
"It hinges on too many coincidences, and even if it succeeds, it won't kill Godzilla. There are too many unknowns."
In the meeting room, senior officials from the Eastern region voiced their displeasure, their skepticism about Sato's short-term strategy evident.
"Risk has never been the issue," Sato responded, his voice firm. "The issue is when risk brings no reward."
"Perhaps you think my plan is too bold, with a low probability of success," he continued, scanning the room. "But let's be honest—do we have a reliable way to repel Godzilla if it awakens this soon? Let alone kill it?"
Silence.
"We don't."
His expression hardened. "If we want a method to stop Godzilla when none of our infrastructure is ready, it's bound to be impossible."
"It's not that I want to rely on these uncertainties, but to defeat Godzilla, we must take these risks. As for killing it? That time hasn't come yet."
He straightened, his tone unwavering.
"I'll address your doubts one by one."
───「 GODZILLA POV 」───
Suddenly—a massive pit opened ahead.
Godzilla had no time to react.
It stepped into the void and plunged headfirst into the abyss.
BOOM!
Its head slammed into the soil wall at supersonic speed, sending its massive body tumbling underground. The impact blasted apart the layers of earth above, pulverizing everything in its wake.
With 1.8 million tons of mass colliding at supersonic velocity, the result was an explosion rivaling a nuclear detonation.
BOOM!
A secondary crater formed within the already deep pit, and the shockwave rippled outward, once again obliterating what remained of the devastated cityscape.
Godzilla lay motionless for a moment, disoriented from the colossal impact. And then—humanity's plan revealed its fangs.
Sss... Thud.
Across Nagoya, underground hangars burst open.
Heavy transport aircraft took to the skies.
Fire trucks, liquid transport vehicles, and storage carriers—summoned from every corner of the Eastern region—raced toward the fallen titan under the guidance of unmanned satellites.
No traffic rules. No speed limits. Every vehicle pushed to its max on the magnetic levitation roads.
Maglev transports, all-terrain haulers, and aircraft carrying massive tanks of unknown liquid all converged at breakneck speed.
And in the heart of Nagoya, something even bigger emerged.
A colossal vehicle tore through layers of concrete and asphalt, advancing relentlessly toward the crater where Godzilla lay.
Godzilla stirred. The impact had left it feeling… off.
The pit had been about a hundred meters deep, barely reaching its waist. But thanks to its own momentum, it had smashed itself another hundred meters down, fully burying its body.
The force had been equivalent to a small nuclear explosion, surpassing even a railgun's impact.
Yet, despite the sheer magnitude of the collision, the damage wasn't catastrophic. The problem? The ground wasn't dense enough. The soil and rock had absorbed some of the force, slowing the impact over several seconds.
Had it slammed into a solid tungsten layer hundreds of meters thick, it might have suffered a concussion.
But there wasn't enough tungsten on the planet to build such a thing.
Godzilla's short arms clawed at the earth, trying to free its head from the suffocating depths.
Then—it felt something.
Something was being sprayed onto its back.
More and more of this substance rained down, thickening instead of rolling off. A strange, clinging sensation.
Unpleasant.
It planted its claws into the ground, attempting to lift itself. But the moment it tried—
CRACK.
The ground collapsed beneath its weight.
Time to use the tail.
Bracing itself with both hands and tail, Godzilla slowly pulled itself upright.
Buzz. Buzz.
More aircraft swarmed overhead, dumping the strange liquid onto its body. Fire trucks lined the crater's edge, blasting the same substance in high-pressure streams. Storage vehicles rolled in, releasing even more.
The coating thickened.
Godzilla did not appreciate this.
With a flicker of energy, its dorsal plates flared.
Then—
FWOOOOSH!
A searing burst of atomic breath swept across the sky and ground, instantly vaporizing the transport planes and vehicles below.
Fireballs erupted in Nagoya as the pit became a flaming graveyard.
Gathering its strength, Godzilla leapt from the crater, returning to the surface.
Its gaze locked onto the distant railguns.
They were within range.
As it advanced, a massive vehicle blocked its path.
Something unlike anything in its memory.
It had crashed through buildings and now stood directly in Godzilla's way, as if preparing for a final stand.
Godzilla hesitated.
Was this humanity's ultimate weapon?
It gathered its breath, preparing to obliterate the machine—
BOOM!
The area was reduced to molten slag.
The 'ultimate weapon' had been worthless.
Disappointed, Godzilla resumed its march toward the first railgun.
Gathering energy once more, it unleashed its breath—
A blinding fireball engulfed the entire railgun installation and the mountain it rested on.
Nothing remained but ashes.
Bathed in the inferno's glow, Godzilla pressed forward.
It wouldn't be long before Nagoya was completely annihilated.
