───「 GODZILLA POV 」───
The laser network from my dorsal fins and tail obliterated all incoming nuclear missiles with precision. As I moved, my dorsal fins automatically adjusted the focus of the beams, creating a sweeping defensive grid that moved in multiple directions simultaneously.
My tail swung methodically, emitting concentrated beams that punched through the atmospheric barrier, striking from ground to space and bringing down satellites with surgical precision.
I continued advancing while maintaining the laser defense. The energy consumption was negligible to my evolved form—like a human breathing. I decided to keep the network active continuously, a permanent shield against their attacks.
Despite my defenses, the sheer number of nuclear weapons meant a few slipped through, impacting against my back.
───「 Human POV 」───
"It worked!"
The technicians in the command center leaned forward as they watched a nuclear fireball suddenly expand, creating a kilometer-wide inferno with a yield of millions of tons. The temperature at its core reached that of the sun's surface, completely engulfing Godzilla.
On their screens, Godzilla's outer layers appeared to melt and vaporize. The laser attacks momentarily paused as tons of its body liquefied under the extreme heat.
"If Godzilla were only a few hundred tons in weight, that would have killed it," muttered the chief scientist, her face illuminated by the nuclear glow on the monitors.
"But at 14 million tons..." Her voice trailed off.
───「 GODZILLA POV 」───
A mosquito bite. That's all their nuclear power amounted to against my evolved form.
Before the fireball had even dissipated, I emerged from the blast zone, my body glowing red-hot but structurally intact. The laser network reactivated instantly from my dorsal fins, though there were no more incoming missiles to intercept.
I continued my advance deeper into Australia, bearing the occasional nuclear impact with indifference. These weapons that once terrorized your own kind now meant nothing to me.
"Stop it," came the human command.
The satellites ceased their futile bombardment.
I roared in satisfaction, pleased with my new defensive capabilities. No longer would I need to worry about surprise attacks from the sky. The freedom from constant bombardment allowed me a moment to observe the landscape of this continent they called Australia.
Only green remained. The coastline was blanketed with dense forest, yet devoid of animal life—a green desert, as humans would call it.
My blue eyes revealed a hint of sadness. I had once inhabited the waters around this land and had developed a special fondness for its unique ecology compared to other continents. Now, all that biodiversity was gone.
Such a pity.
I continued deeper into Australia, approaching the electromagnetic railgun network positioned across the southeastern mountains.
───「 Human POV 」───
"A true monster... Godzilla, truly the king of monsters!"
In the World United Government Capital's meeting hall, parliament members watched in horror as their nuclear strike network—their best hope—was effortlessly neutralized by Godzilla's dorsal fin lasers.
They witnessed Godzilla's tail beam reaching into space, causing satellites to go dark one after another. Even when nuclear missiles managed to break through and directly hit Godzilla, the creature emerged essentially undamaged.
"Can humans really defeat something like this?" One member muttered. "Don't make me laugh."
Several members shared the same thought: humans alone couldn't defeat Godzilla. They needed to go beyond human capabilities; they needed power beyond that of humanity itself.
"I'm going to take care of something," announced one member, leaving his seat. He couldn't bear to witness humanity's impending defeat.
The remaining officials clung to whatever hope remained. They refused to believe that all preparations made during Godzilla's 35-day absence were entirely useless against this newly evolved form.
"The nuclear strike network failed, but we still have the electromagnetic railguns," one official declared. "Using those, we can at least delay Godzilla's progress!"
───「 GODZILLA POV 」───
Electromagnetic railguns. Weapons developed specifically to combat me.
Impressive that these little creatures built so many in such a short time. But sadly, I'm no longer vulnerable to them.
I'll show them why.
I opened my mouth, activating the magnetic field generator that now ran from my head down my spine—an evolution designed for one purpose: to eject projectiles from my mouth with devastating force.
Lightning gathered between my jaws, creating a powerful electromagnetic field that ionized the surrounding air. From deep within my throat, a projectile encased in a superconducting shell loaded itself into position.
Three. Two. One.
Fire.
From my mouth erupted an electromagnetic cannon shot traveling at over 100 Mach, aimed directly at a human railgun position detected by my internal radar.
Electromagnetic railgun versus electromagnetic railgun.
The projectile crossed the mountain range in just three seconds, striking a thousand-meter-high peak with catastrophic precision.
───「 Human POV 」───
The soldiers manning the railgun position had no time to react.
A blinding flash of light appeared in the distance, and in the next moment, the top of the mountain—from 1500 to 1800 meters in elevation—simply ceased to exist.
The several-hundred-meter-high electromagnetic railgun and the entire mountain peak were pulverized instantly. Only a jagged mountain pass remained, littered with twisted metal debris.
Everything else had been obliterated into millions of pieces by that single projectile, scattered across the surrounding landscape like deadly confetti.
On the command screens, Godzilla turned toward another defense position. The electromagnatic weapon in its mouth began charging again, blue light gathering between its massive jaws.
"It's targeting our positions from the coastline," whispered a general in disbelief. "The range... it's impossible."
The tables had turned completely. It was humanity that would be overwhelmed by superior range and firepower—not the other way around.
