───「 GODZILLA POV 」───
From my mouth, accompanied by lightning that tore through the atmosphere, the electromagnetic projectile traveled at over a hundred times the speed of sound, obliterating a distant mountain peak in an instant.
Attacking high ground from low ground was effortless. The curvature of Earth had made those kilometer-high mountain peaks perfect targets for my new weapons system.
Had the humans placed their electromagnetic cannons on flat ground, my attacks couldn't have reached them across hundreds of kilometers. But on flat terrain, their own range would have been limited to within a hundred kilometers.
A strategic dilemma for them: to defeat me, they needed the high ground advantage, but that same advantage now made them visible targets for my superior weaponry.
The electromagnetic cannons hidden behind mountains couldn't hit me, but I could hit them. My electromagnetic cannon vastly outperformed anything humans had built. Even when mountains obstructed my line of sight, I could blast through them with one shot and follow with another to destroy whatever lay beyond.
Humans couldn't match this capability.
With each mountain peak I shattered, I immediately fired a second shot, striking before the human operators could even comprehend what was happening.
───「 Human POV 」───
"How... can this be?" whispered a lawmaker, his face drained of color.
The confidence that had sustained the World United Government for 35 days crumbled. Officials who had been steadfast in their belief of victory now looked as though they questioned everything they'd worked for.
Ludwig observed the scene silently. Suddenly, his phone rang with an incoming vote—a decision on whether to deploy "something" after Godzilla penetrated further into the Australian interior.
He cast a dissenting vote and typed a message into the text conference:
Australia may fall, but humanity has not lost. In these 35 days, we've made preparations beyond the Oxygen Destroyer.
Everyone in Australia, you must believe in the "monster" we have liberated. There was a reason we sealed it away 50 years ago—a reason that cannot be explained away as mere terrorism.
Come on, "humans" who were created. Show us how powerful you've become now that you're free.
"BOOM!"
Another mountain peak vanished from the tactical display. Before the human operators could react, both the electromagnetic cannon and the mountain it stood upon were pulverized by Godzilla's attack.
───「 GODZILLA POV 」───
It felt exhilarating.
Electric sparks continued to dance in my mouth as I aimed in another direction and continued my bombardment campaign. Dozens of tons of projectile material, subjected to forces measuring in the tens of millions of tons, launched at over 300 Mach. They broke the sound barrier and melted into deadly streams of superheated metal that struck mountain peaks with devastating precision.
Each impacted peak first collapsed into a crater hundreds of meters wide, followed by a fireball that consumed everything within. Entire mountains crumbled instantly, burying the electromagnetic railguns behind them in intense heat.
Even when a railgun wasn't completely buried, it hardly mattered. I would immediately launch a second attack, completely destroying its main body, leaving nothing but dust and memory.
These were moments of satisfaction.
After destroying all visible electromagnetic railguns within my immediate vicinity, I felt pleased. No longer would I have to endure the slow extinction humans had planned through their long-range attacks.
Bullying with range—that's what humans had been doing all along. During my first and second landings, they always used their long-range weapons to keep me within their firing radius while remaining beyond my reach.
Now the situation had finally reversed. I could retaliate and show them what "super-long-range" truly meant. Let the monster show you what a real super-long-range attack is!
My 400-meter-tall body moved methodically across the land, systematically destroying all mountains within a 200-kilometer radius. The southeastern half of Australia now had mountain ranges missing their tops, as if they'd been shaved bald.
All human defenses positioned in the mountains had been reduced to nothing.
Still unsatisfied, I activated my dorsal fin and tail lasers to maximum power, intending to shoot down more satellites from orbit. Though perhaps not the most practical target—satellites were no longer launching nuclear weapons, and locating them precisely was challenging—the energy expenditure was negligible to me.
After firing wildly into the sky, I hadn't brought down any satellites, but I wasn't disappointed. The power consumption of the dorsal fin and tail lasers was insignificant for my evolved form. I could maintain them while advancing and destroying human installations. Perhaps I would eventually bring down another satellite—one was still progress, still profit.
───「 Human POV 」───
Military observers watched in stunned silence as Godzilla continued its advance, dorsal lasers still active, projecting into the sky in all directions.
Its colossal 400-meter frame, now crowned with countless pairs of light beams forming wings that extended into the sky, created an image that burned itself into the consciousness of everyone watching.
"My God," whispered a general. "It looks like..."
"A god," finished an aide, the words barely audible.
This living deity was now preparing to penetrate the heart of their world and annihilate all who dwelled there.
