(SOME HOURS BEFORE THAT)
The moment I arrived at the second to the last pack, a strange but familiar feeling seemed to overwhelm me and I instantly walked inside only for the guards at the gate to come after me.
"Mister? Are you certain you're in the right place?"
"I am," I confidently said even though I wasn't sure.
"But I've never seen your face before. Are you here to see someone?"
At his question, I nodded.
"Who is that?"
"Ingrid Dolph."
The moment I dropped her name, his eyebrows lifted in realization and it was at that moment I knew I was on track. This was her pack.
"Are you perhaps a friend of hers?" He asked and gestured for me to follow him which I did.
"Friend? Of course not. I'm more than that," I let him know and he frowned.
"A play thing?" He went on to ask and I looked at him in a weird manner.
Why would I be a play thing to Ingrid? Was that how humans were treated here?
