"So it was you all along."
I was dazed and didn't even know how I managed to say that.
I couldn't believe it.
He was my mate but how?
How I knew was because the moment we embraced, the hotness I felt turned to a pleasant one instead of being painful. It felt so soothing like I had found my missing half.
But I didn't even shift to my wolf form to sense it. Funny enough, we had been with each other to a point we shared a kiss and even touched, so why was I realizing it now?
"Have you forgotten the facts I told you?" he asked and gave me a knowing smile.
How can I forget that?
"You feel it too?" I hopefully asked as my heart began to race.
If I was feeling this way then he should, right?
He lovingly cupped my face and rested his forehead against mine.
"I feel it, Ingrid. I do."
The way his breath fanned against my face made me feel so relaxed and I couldn't help but close my eyes and enjoy his closeness.
"Miss Ingrid."
