The place looked abandoned. The paint on the building had long faded, the windows cracked, weeds creeping all over the walls. There was also the faded neon sign still hanging over the entrance; OMEGA, but it hadn't glowed in years.
It was definitely a club, but it was also an abandoned building. I wondered why Gabriel had left that part out.
I swallowed, suddenly aware of how I was the only person here.
Reaching for my cell in my bag, I quickly called Gabriel, but he wasn't answering.
I began to feel afraid. The wind blowing harshly wasn't helping my anxiety. It made goosebumps rise on my arms. I couldn't control the beating of my heart as I looked around and saw that I was out in the dark, alone. Not even light from a street lamp kept me company.
At least the full moon shone brightly. But It wasn't in the least comforting.
I tried Gabriel's line again. The longer it rang and he didn't pick up, it made me more afraid.
And then suddenly, he answered.
