I woke up to a throbbing pain at the back of my head. My senses sharpened slowly, and that's when I realized, my arms and legs were tied to a chair.
Panic stirred.
Gabriel stepped into my view.
He was still in the same hoodie and jeans from last night. But something about him had shifted. His eyes were colder now. A twisted grin played on his lips, and it sent an involuntary shiver down my spine.
"Finally, you're awake." He said with a tone too cheery for the moment. He looked creepy. "You sleep like the dead, you know?"
My heart beat faster, but I forced my voice to sound steady. "What time is it?"
He frowned, amused. "Is that really the first question you're gonna ask?" He threw his head back and laughed. The sound echoed in the room.
