"Good evening Madame President" Apostle replied while slowly spinning his rotating chair towards the direction of her footsteps.
She arrived at where he was seated and they exchanged a subtle handshake before he turned around to face the monitor.
"You said you have something that might be of interest to me..." President Viola said eagerly as she folded arms right under her voluptuous breast.
"Yes ma'am..." He replied with a slight cough.
"This better be good, I have a meeting with a member of the Guardian Corps in five minutes".
Apostle immediately leaned forward, tapping away on his keyboard. With a few dramatic final clicks, a series of images rolled to view on the screen.
"This came in several minutes ago madam president..." He started highlighting images of Ant Goliath's corpse plastered all over the screen.
"What do you think?" Apostle asked.
"What am I looking at here?". President Viola furrowed her brows, her gaze flickering, carefully studying the pictures as they passed by.
"The villain here is a C-Class Villan known as Ant Goliath, and he was allegedly taken out by a hero named Thunderlash..." Apostle paused to see if she understood thus far.
"What class is he?".
"Class B, Rank 17".
Her eyes widened with resolve as she processed the information.
The injuries that caused Ant Goliath's death was obviously not from Thunderlash, not because he lacked the equipment to make such injuries but because it suggested the possibility of a stronger force.
"Was this Thunderlash's work? Or is he just another hero claiming the victory of someone else?" She said, her voice sharp and direct.
Apostle stoked his chin.
"Thunderlash is an exceptional hero, his skill is very refined and his technique with electricity enhanced weapons are sure enough to take out a C-Class Villan... But not like this"
He let out a huge sigh.
"These injuries..." He zoomed in on the display.
Apostle was right, even though Thunderlash was competent enough to take down Ant Goliath, it didn't seem convincing to both of them.
Thunderlash's skills includes the use of high voltage electricity to create deadly whips that could destroy anything on contact.
Not just that, his electrified surfboard; Made out of pure electricity and could be used as a piercing tool to burst through obstacles.
However, Ant Goliath's body showed no signs of electrical contact.
The gaping hole through his body had no evidence of electrocution, no signs of nerve damage, no electrical burns, no scorched points where his lightning whips would have landed.
Ant Goliath's missing claw was wiped clean off without any bludgeoning damage and the hole through his body had smooth edges, suggesting some kind of energy burst him.
"I think it's safe to say that this wasn't the work of Thunderlash and he took credit for it..." President Viola blurted out as she adjusted her glasses.
"... The question is who did?"
Apostle let out a huge sigh signaling a sign of mental exhaustion. He placed his hands back on the keyboard and with a firm tap a single button.
All the images paterning to Ant Goliath's corpse retracted into a single folder.
"I might just have the answer to that question President Viola..." He said and with another flurry of keyboard taps, another file popped up.
The room fell silent as both of them watched.
On the screen, a grainy security cam footage played.
A blurred figure in golden amored suit walked into frame and suddenly he darted forward with unnatural speed.
The video took President Viola by surprise as her eyes narrowed after seeing how fast the figure could move.
It was so fast that the footage was slowed down several times to enable them see what was going on.
"This footage was from an ATM center nearby..." Apostle explained.
"And when was this?" President Viola asked almost instantly.
"Few minutes before Thunderlash showed up..."
Apostle pressed his lips together firmly, his focus darted from the monitor to her face.
"The civilian witnesses called him Armored Man..." He added.
President Viola exhaled sharply, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Looks like we have another unregistered metahuman running around, and from the looks of it he could take down a skyscraper if he wanted to..."
Apostle nodded in agreement, "If this footage gets out to the public... There's no telling what the major guilds will do to have someone like this on their roster ".
President Viola turned away, taking a couple steps away from where Apostle sat, she placed both hands on her temples and rubbed them slightly in attempt to calm herself.
"I don't have time for this, Shadow girl just agreed to join the Red Lion Guild."
"That alone is going to cause enough chaos between the Guilds. We'll put the search for another S-Class Hero on hold now that we at least have her."
She made her way towards the exit and stopped right at the foot of the door that immediately slid open on its own.
She threw a glance back at Apostle, "Let me know if you find more information concerning 'Armored Man'". She said before taking her leave.
As the door closed behind her, Apostle bowed his head slightly and turned back to face the screen.
He watched the blurry footage as it played over and over, his finger tapping rhythmically on his desk.
"Armored Man... Why have so much power and decide to keep it a secret, huh?".
