Chapter 54 - Jack’s First Day in Academy!

Current Date: Year 24,991 | 4th Month Ignara | Day 15

A new day dawned, the golden sunlight streaming through the curtains as birds chirped softly outside the Wilson's household.

Chirp... chirp…

The scent of warm bread and herbal tea lingered in the air, mingling with the laughter and comfort of family.

The table clinked with dishes and spoons.

Clink. Clatter.

Everyone had just finished breakfast, and a peaceful silence briefly settled over them like a cozy blanket.

Emma turned to Jack, her voice soft, motherly warmth in her tone."Son, is today your first day at the Academy for learning Production Class knowledge?"

Jack looked up, a calm smile blooming across his face, the morning light catching in his eyes. "Yes, Mom. Today's the beginning."

He then turned toward his father, curiosity in his tone. "I'm going to the Academy today. What will you all do? Are you okay completing the Adventure Guild's quests without me?"

James leaned back dramatically in his chair, letting out a theatrical sigh.

Then smirked.

"Oh, yes… without you, it's almost impossible!" He chuckled, voice rich with teasing. "But your mom and I will pick up some small ones, maybe herb gathering, maybe a city patrol. And if someone joins our team, we might even take on a small beast hunting quest."

Ava's voice chimed in, sweet and steady. "As for me and Sofia, we'll stay home today."

Sofia, still lazily nibbling on a sweet bun, raised her hand with a playful yawn.

Yaaaaawn~

"Yeah, yeah… I'm not going with you today. It's too boring just waiting around at the Guild or near the city gates," she said in her usual cute, unbothered tone.

Jack laughed softly, his gaze shifting from face to face, his family, his anchor.

Outside, a gentle breeze rustled the trees.

Whoosh… rustle…

And so, Jack set off for the Academy.

The sun glinted off his shoulder as he stepped outside, his boots crunching softly on the cobbled path.

Crunch... crunch…

With a final wave, he turned toward the heart of the city, a mix of anticipation and resolve in his chest.

Meanwhile, James and Emma rode out on Ironfang James Tamed Beast, the mighty beast's silver fur shimmering in the morning light.

Thud... thud...

Went the powerful steps as Ironfang sprinted down the forest path, carrying the seasoned adventurers toward the Guild for another day of quests.

Back at home, Ava and Sofia watched them leave from the porch.

Sofia stretched lazily, curling up on a bench with a soft blanket.

Yawn~

Ava smiled faintly, resting beside her with a book in hand.

A rare, peaceful day had finally arrived.

---

Jack soon arrived at the gates of the Newly Formed Academy in Jakartha City.

The air buzzed with youthful energy, excitement humming like an undercurrent beneath the warm sun.

Buzz… murmur… shuffle…

It was a place still growing, its walls fresh with paint and potential, built on the vision of the Angels, an ambitious dream to forge master crafters, tamers of knowledge, and artisans of the future.

Crowds of young men and women, ranging from 16 to 21, gathered with wide eyes and racing hearts. Some whispered nervously, others grinned with barely-contained excitement.

"This is it…"

"Did you hear the Alchemy department has a fire-based research lab?"

"I hope I get into Artifact Forging…"

Several women in elegant Academy uniforms stood at the entrance, their postures straight and welcoming. Their eyes scanned the crowd with professionalism as they greeted each new student.

"Welcome to the Academy."

"Please state your chosen Production Class path."

"This way, young Ascendant."

Jack stepped forward, his heart steady, the wind brushing past his coat like a whisper of fate.

Whoosh…

He was ready not just to learn, but to carve his name into the future.

Jack stepped forward, his footsteps echoing softly across the polished stone.

Click... Click…

A gentle breeze whispered past him as one of the uniformed ladies approached with a courteous smile, a tablet in her hand.

"What is your name, And which Production Class did you choose?" she asked, her voice smooth and professional.

Jack met her gaze confidently. "My name is Jack Wilson," he said with calm assurance. "I've chosen both Alchemy and Blacksmithing as my Production Classes."

The lady blinked a surprise flickering across her face."…Two classes?" she repeated softly, brows rising. "Most Ascendants only take one Production Class. Are you certain?"

Jack gave a small nod, unwavering.

Fwshhh…

The wind stirred slightly behind him, as if affirming his choice.

She took a second to compose herself, then smiled politely, masking her intrigue. "Understood. Please be aware students who pursue multiple classes must remain in the Academy from morning till evening. One class in the morning, the other in the afternoon. The full course lasts for six months."

She handed him a sleek crystal card with his Academy Identification. It glowed faintly in his hand.

Chime~

A small notification rune lit up on its surface.

"Your first class is Alchemy," she said, gesturing toward a nearby tower with vibrant green banners fluttering in the breeze.

"Room: Alchemy Class-B. Please proceed."

She paused briefly before adding, "Since the Academy is newly established, we are currently offering only six main Production Classes."

Jack nodded in gratitude. "Thank you."

He turned and walked forward through the grand white halls of the Academy sunlight filtering through crystal skylights above, casting prismatic patterns on the floor.

Clack… Clack… Clack…

His steps echoed through a corridor lined with signs etched in elegant glowing script:

---

[Production Class Departments]

1. Alchemist – "Mold essence, craft life."

2. Blacksmith – "Forge steel, build power."

3. Enchanter – "Bind magic, awaken potential."

4. Rune Scribe – "Inscribe runes, command energy."

5. Artificer – "Engineer constructs, blend magic with machinery."

6. Arcane Architect – "Design realms, bend space and structure."

---

Each doorway hummed with mana, as if the very walls breathed magic and innovation.

Jack's eyes narrowed with focus.

This was more than just education, this was the forge of destiny. And he had just taken his first step into it.

Each department had four classrooms, labeled A to D, and students were assigned based on affinity, talent rank, and elemental compatibility.

Jack stopped in front of a polished wooden door engraved with glowing alchemy runes:

[Alchemy Class – B]

He reached for the handle.

Clack…

The door creaked open with a soft hum of enchantment.

Inside, a large alchemical classroom stretched out before him lined with:

Shelves of shimmering potions that pulsed faintly with color,

Cabinets filled with rare herbs, sealed in transparent jars,

Glass containers bubbling quietly, their contents glowing with mana,

Brewing stations set up with burners, crystal rods, and infusion trays,

And at the very center, a levitating mana crystal, softly pulsing like a heartbeat.

Thrum… Thrum…

Several students were already seated at rune-inscribed tables, chatting quietly, their voices a low murmur of excitement and nerves.

Jack walked in, found an empty seat near the center, and settled down.

Click

The door opened again.

A sudden silence fell over the room.

In walked a tall, graceful elf woman, her every step light, her presence serene yet commanding.

Silver hair flowed like moonlight down her back, emerald eyes glowing softly with mana, and her long elven ears were adorned with intricate runic tattoos that shimmered faintly.

She wore elegant robes of deep forest green, woven with enchanted threads that rippled with energy, and behind her floated a thin crystal staff, suspended effortlessly in the air, surrounded by faint magical particles.

Hum…

Every student straightened in their seats.

With a calm, melodic voice that carried natural authority, she spoke: "Good morning, students. I am Professor Elira Moonshade, your instructor for Alchemy."

Fwshhh…

Her mana flared for a moment, gentle, refined, but filled with knowledge and power.

"I am an Elf and a 5-Star Master Alchemist. Today, you take your first step into the world of Alchemy. You may have heard tales of potions that heal mortal wounds, elixirs that grant great strength or wisdom…"

She paused, her eyes scanning the class.

"But remember this true alchemy is not just the mixing of herbs. It is a sacred craft.

A delicate harmony between nature… mana… and knowledge."

She lifted her hand, and a wave of soft mana spiraled outward.

Shhhhhhh—Zing!

Glowing symbols materialized in the air, rotating slowly like celestial diagrams.

"These are Basic Alchemy Circles. The foundation of potion crafting."

The symbols hovered complex yet beautiful runes connecting in geometric perfection.

"Today, we begin with understanding herbs, essence extraction, mana infusion, and the design of alchemy circles. This class will test not only your skill, but your patience… your precision… and your passion."

Jack leaned forward, eyes wide with interest. The glowing circles reflected in his pupils.

A spark of excitement danced in his chest.

He had stepped into the world of creation.
