A guttural thunder rolled through the clouds, sending a tremor that whispered across the floor. Jihoon glanced out the windowed walls lining the corridor, the pitch-black night flashing white for a split second, revealing rain-slicked glass glistening like diamonds before retreating into darkness once more.
A soft shiver ran through him as he stood obediently in front of apartment 129, waiting for the door to open. He rubbed a hand over the sleeve of his hoodie, the fabric doing little to shield him from the creeping chill in the air.
"The weather's only getting worse," Jihoon mused, his voice swallowed by the eerie hush of the hallway. He pressed the doorbell again, trying to keep his thoughts from spiraling.
'I can sleep well tonight with the rain as white noise… I just need to lie down on my bed.'
