Chapter 19 - Your soul, and your perception.

"There is a place in this world, a place that is not easy for an ordinary person to reach, have you ever heard... If two mirrors reflect each other. People always relate it to spiritual things, they believe, an infinite reflection of it is a perception of another world, a passive world that does not work for anything."

Their breath caught in their throats, my words sounded heavy to them, especially to Queen and Cestele who froze their faces, their bodies trembling slightly, both of their eyes shrank, hidden fear there.

"How do we get there? How do we save Ray?"

Cestele's question slipped out, her voice steady, as if she had pushed aside the fear that had previously filled his wavering heart, her eyes shone slightly with a strong certainty there.

My feet stepped closer to the glass, then I raised one of my hands to touch it, and I turned my head, seeing the confused faces of Queen and Cestele.

"It is not easy to enter the world behind the mirror, there are special conditions for you to actually enter there, but it does not guarantee that you will come out."

"Those consequences sound fair to me, so what do we need to do? What are the conditions?"

I smiled at Cestele, seeing his enthusiasm and certainty that was so complete.

"It's not something easy, you just have to surrender your soul and your perception to the mirror, or glass? Whatever it is."

A look of confusion appeared in both of their heads, a bead of sweat rolled down their temples, they were not used to the unreasonable words I always said.

"It's like handing over your soul specifically, consider that the previous expression is just an initial understanding."

Jerry straightened out my words, hearing Jerry's confirmation made Cestele and Queen nod, feeling that their misunderstanding would not really happen.

"But... What is actually behind the mirror? What is it like?"

Queen asked, I was silent for a moment, thinking of the right words to answer her, then I stepped forward to get some mirrors, Queen and Cestele tilted their heads, waiting for my answer.

I put one mirror down, then my other hand brought another mirror to reflect them into each other.

"Let's make an analogy, this is something you know, it is a certain thing, if mirrors reflect each other, then they will create an infinite domino of reflection, am I right?"

They nodded their heads, then their eyes shifted to look at a mirror reflecting each other in my hand. My hands then took the other two mirrors, placing them between the top and bottom, making a box out of the mirrors, Cestele and Queen gasped, their eyes widening.

"This... This doesn't make sense."

Queen's voice sounded soft, with doubt and disbelief filling every tone of her voice,His eyes were still glued to the box made of mirrors that were shaped in such a way.

"You think so too, right? If someone was inside that box room, then what would happen?"

"That... That would create a reflection of himself, from every side, wait don't tell me—"

I smiled as Cestele realized something, I nodded, snapping my fingers.

"Yep, that's right, this is what disturbed Ray's perception."

"Ice cream! Ice cream! Ice cream!"

Noah walked with his small steps, looking like a cute little child, Ariz walked beside him, holding his hand while smiling.

"It's like I have a younger sibling again."

Ariz's heart was tickled inside, his smile widened seeing the cuteness of the boy who was much shorter than him, his cheeks puffed with red, makes it much cuter.

"Brother, I want chocolate ice cream!"

Ariz couldn't stand it, his hand went down to rub Noah's head affectionately, making Noah snort in annoyance at him.

"Yes Noah, you've said that many times, I'll buy you ice cream"

Noah parted his lips wide, his small hands gripping Ariz even tighter, making Ariz rub his head once again, but this time more gently.

Their steps continue, in front of us, they saw a crowd, an ambulance was also around it, blood was splattered around there.

"There were lives lost."

Ariz turned his head to let his eyes look at Noah who said that lightly, he looked closely at his face which was so relaxed, he crouched down, matching his height with him.

"Noah, you can't say that, we have to respect the lives that have been lost, don't do that again, Okay? I won't buy you ice cream anymore."

Noah's eyes widened, tears forming at the corners of his eyes.

"No, I don't want that, I'll be a good boy, I promise."

He chuckled, Ariz hand going down to stroke his head for the umpteenth time, his cheeks flushed from the warmth there. He ran ahead of his, then turned and grabbed his hand.

"Come on! Come on! I want ice cream."

He jogged following his small steps, then something occurred to his, he smiled, looking at his face which was still smiling innocently, like an innocent little child in general.

"Even though he smiled that widely, why do I feel like it's fake?"

A few moments passed, now we came out of a shop, carrying a large ice cream, Noah enjoyed it with a red face, his mouth dirty with ice cream stains everywhere.

"Do you like it?"

Hearing that, Noah's eyes immediately widened, he then nodded quickly, with a beautiful smile on his lips.

"Yes, I like it, thank you, brother."

Ariz's hand began to feel his pocket, looking for something, he then pulled a handkerchief from there and wiped the ice cream stains that were smeared on his face,

"You're so adorable Noah, eat slowly okay?"

Noah pursed his lips, both hands still holding ice cream, Ariz then took Noah to sit in a park that was quite close to them.

"I'm grateful."

Ariz turned his face hearing the words that came out of Noah's mouth, one eyebrow raised in confusion.

"Grateful for what?"

Noah gave a smile, it made Ariz's heart feel warm for some reason, this time his smile looked sincere, truly from him, his eyes sparkled with hope there.

"Never mind, I thought I was going to do something to you, maybe."

Ariz laughed softly and shook his head, his attention diverted to the ice cream melting by itself in his hand.

"I also thank you, being with you for the past few days has reminded me of Kama's childhood."

"Oh really? What was he like before?"

Ariz looked down, a look of regret reflected from the corner of his eyes, his face gloomy.

"He was a normal little boy, but everything changed when he left, leaving me for so long, I felt helpless that day."

"Why don't you just let Kama go? He's been gone for quite some time, right?

Ariz turned his head gently, his hand raised to rub Noah's head.

"Of course I won't do that, even if he's been missing for a long time, I'll keep looking for him, I'll keep hoping he'll come back, because he's my brother."

Noah's eyes widened, then his attention was diverted to his ice cream which had completely melted there.

"I thought you were different... But it turned out like this... Even though you were the only one I thought would be different from the others."

Ariz raised one eyebrow, his face trying to turn towards Naoh beside him, but when his eyeballs immediately shrank, at that moment he saw Noah raising his hand towards him,a huge chunk of glass appeared behind him.

"I'm glad you're willing to accompany me today, goodbye Ariz."
