Chapter 15 - The Clash of Past and Present

As soon as Poonam Ji tries to explain to the girl, she says, "I have no idea how all this happened! I didn't even know that Advik had returned to London!"

Hearing her words, the girl glares at her in anger and says, "Alright, let's assume you didn't know that. But you were present at the wedding, weren't you? Then why didn't you stop this marriage? Why didn't you try...?"

While the two are talking, Advik, pretending to wake up, slowly opens his eyes and groans, "Shhhhhhh... You both talk so loudly! Enough already...!"

Then, feigning shock, he continues, "Wait a minute! How did you both enter my room? And what exactly are you doing here? May I know that?"

Seeing Advik awake, both of them freeze in fear. Then, once again, Advik's cold voice reaches their ears, "Leave my room right now! I don't want my wife to wake up and see your faces first thing in the morning."

The girl protests, "But I need to talk to you! I'm not going anywhere until I get my answers!"

Hearing her stubbornness, Advik's expression turns stone-cold and dangerous. His voice becomes commanding as he says, "I told you to leave. When I say leave, I mean it!"

His menacing aura is so intimidating that the girl takes two steps back in fear. Stuttering, she says, "F-f-f...fine! We'll be waiting for you downstairs!" With that, she quickly leaves.

Once they are gone, Advik carefully frees himself from Anya's embrace, straightens his clothes, and places a pillow in her lap. Anya, still in deep sleep, unconsciously hugs the pillow and continues sleeping.

Advik then heads to the bathroom for a shower. A little later, fully dressed and looking every bit like a king, he makes his way downstairs to the living room. The entire Trivedi family is already present.

Taking his seat like royalty, he looks at Poonam Ji and says, "You do know how much I hate it when someone enters my room without permission, don't you?"

Then, with a piercing gaze, he continues, "How dare you unlock my room with a duplicate key? Fine, let's say I forgive you for that. But who gave you the right to bring an outsider into my room? Tell me, if my wife and I hadn't covered ourselves with a blanket, wouldn't you both have seen us... without clothes?"

The entire hall falls silent in shock.

Dadaji, confused, asks, "Without clothes? What were you two doing in the room...?"

Before he can finish, Dadima quickly covers his mouth with her hand. Everyone in the hall blushes in embarrassment.

Dadima glares at him and scolds, "Just keep quiet! If you don't understand something, don't speak!"

All eyes then turn toward Poonam Ji. But before she can explain, the girl interrupts, "Advik, you seem to be forgetting something! You were engaged to me! I am your fiancée, not some outsider! The outsider here is that girl!"

Hearing this, Advik coldly responds, "Misha Khanna, you were my fiancée, not anymore. And as for that girl, if she were a stranger, she wouldn't be in my room today."

His voice turns even sharper as he adds, "Our engagement ended the moment I took wedding vows with her at the mandap. So stop calling yourself my fiancée."

Then, shifting his gaze to Poonam Ji, he says, "Mrs. Trivedi, what you did today should never happen again. I hate it when someone interrupts my private moments."

His voice turns even harsher. "I only gave you the right to be this house's daughter-in-law, not my mother. So stop trying to act like one. Got it?"

With that, he touches his grandparents' feet. "Sorry, Dadima. I came home late last night, so I didn't wake you all up. I'm heading to the office now."

Before leaving, he turns to Misha with a blank expression and says, "Make sure she is escorted out respectfully. And tell her never to appear before me again."

Without listening to anyone, he leaves, and everyone breathes a sigh of relief.

Meanwhile, Arnav, burning with rage, also storms off.

Arnav's Room

The moment he enters his room, Arnav starts punching his boxing bag furiously.

One thought keeps echoing in his mind: Did they really want to see my brother and his wife without clothes?

The more he thinks about it, the angrier he gets. He mutters to himself, "Why am I so bothered by this? I always say I don't care about that girl. Then why does it affect me now?"

Trying to reason with himself, he says, "I'm only upset because of my brother! I love my brother too much to see him with a girl like her. She doesn't deserve him! She needs to leave his life!"

Then another thought strikes him. Did she tell my brother everything? Is that why he didn't even look at me once?

"No, that can't be! I have to do something. I need to bring my brother back to my side!"

Advik's Room

The morning sun's rays wake Anya up. Stretching lazily, she glances at the wall clock and instantly jolts upright.

"Oh no! How could I sleep this late? God knows what everyone must be thinking about me downstairs!"

As she gets up, she feels something strange, as if someone else had been in the room after she fell asleep. Looking around, she mutters, "Why do I feel like someone was here?"

Shaking her head, she dismisses the thought. "That's impossible! I locked the door before sleeping. Must be the effect of that horror movie I watched."

Quickly, she heads to the bathroom, takes a shower, and gets ready. As she steps out of the room, someone suddenly grabs her hand and pulls her behind a pillar.

Seeing who it is, her anger flares up. Gritting her teeth, she snaps, "Why the hell are you in front of me this early in the morning? Seeing your face has already ruined my entire day!"

Hearing her, Arnav scoffs and says, "What's wrong with my face now? Weren't you the one who used to say you loved me? That your day wouldn't start without seeing my face?"

Leaning dangerously close to her ear, he whispers, "Or is it that you've started liking my brother now?"

As he tightens his grip on her wrists, Anya struggles and retorts, "What does it matter to you who I like?"

Before she can finish, Arnav grips her wrists even harder.

Anya winces and yells, "Arnav, let go! It hurts! If you don't let me go in the next second, I'll scream and call the entire family here!"

Hearing her, Arnav jerks away from her and storms off without looking back.

As he leaves, Anya stumbles, twisting her ankle in her heels. A sharp pain shoots through her leg, and she yelps, "Ouch! That crazy man! Must have been drunk early in the morning!"

Muttering under her breath, she limps toward the hall.

In the Hall

Seeing her walk awkwardly, Trisha frowns and asks, "Bhabhi, why are you walking like that?"

Anya quickly makes up an excuse. "Oh, nothing! I just... fell."

Trisha and Lavanya exchange amused glances and say in unison, "Ohh, you fell?" Then, smirking, they giggle among themselves.

Anya, confused, glares at them. "Yes, I fell! So what?"

Ignoring them, she greets her grandparents, "Good morning, Dadima, Dadaji! Sorry for waking up late."

Dadima smiles. "It's alright, dear. I understand. You must have been very tired last night."

Anya blinks in confusion, not fully understanding their words. To avoid the topic, she quickly replies, "Yes, Dadima, I was quite exhausted."

Arnav, hearing this, clenches his fists, his veins visible with anger.
