He recovered, and masked his emotions quickly. He exhaled through his nose, and sat down again. His movements weren't as smooth as before, and his grip wasn't as steady as he picked up his glass again. His hands still trembled.
Aurora leaned back, tilting her head as she watched him, her expression cool. "What's the matter, Delacroix?" she murmured. "Lost your appetite?"
She swallowed softly. He must love his wife so much to be this tensed just by the mention of her name. Oh, to be loved.
