[YUZUKI]
"You have three seconds to introduce yourself before the next one clears your head off your neck," the Yuzuki spoke, her voice filled with so much rage, and venom, that could bring down the entire wing.
She sounded like she wanted to blast the maidservant into hell and honestly, she would have, if this wasn't really part of the new shit she had learned about Queen Kuromitsu. It was exciting for her, seeing as the Queen and herself were almost one and the same.
They both had a rage that scared the hell out of so many people and now that Yuzuki finally found a place and a use for all the rage she had taken to her death, she would be at her best.
However, as she looked at the woman who had just walked in, she noticed her shoulders relax, almost like she was used to this kind of treatment.
Yuzuki could have sworn that he had heard her out there wondering whether it was alright to come in, the poor thing had even made a final wish to her mother which was weird.
At the same time, it was something that Yuzuki knew she couldn't put past the mad Queen of Kurayami. If she hadn't been reborn, Yuzuki knew that even she would be scared of the mad Queen, despite the fact that Yuzuki Fukada never scared easily.
That was how unhinged Queen Kuramitsu was.
"It's me, your maidservant, Rinko, your majesty," the maidservant, Rinko said introducing herself hoping that today was better, but how better was it supposed to be when a blade had already whirred past her head?
Perhaps it was a good reminder for her that the woman she was serving belonged in the dungeons and was never supposed to be let out. Then again, given the years that Queen Kuramitsu had ruled the Kurayami kingdom, it was easier to say that the woman was loved by her people.
They had to have adored her to some extent because they knew how crazy she was or because she always kept her people safe and went to war for them without so much as a second thought.
That was a lot to unpack and Yuzuki was just glad that she was on the right side of history this time. But was she?
"What is this place? Where the fuck am I?" Yuzuki asked as if to remind the woman that there was a chance that she already had lost her memory. She had to make sure everyone bought into the fact that she had slipped and hurt herself.
Or that she had temporary memory loss. It was the only way to get through a kingdom known for its crazed warriors who wouldn't hesitate to take her out if they figured that she was a fraud.
It is going to be a hard job for Yuzuki, but for her vengeance against Kazuya and her desperation for a reunion with her Matsui, she would do whatever it took.
Rinko stood her ground, with her head bowed, ready for her Queen to lash out at her again. She was scared out of her wits, but the woman before her hated weakness. She hated seeing people cry or be emotional, something that Yuzuki knew she had to keep up with.
Yuzuki always believed that emotions were the reminders of their links with humanity, but if Kuramitsu wanted it differently, then Yuzuki would just be that for them. Queen Kuramitsu despite everything that was humane and she had made her name like that.
Everyone was scared of her, the Queen who was only ever seen by her council members and her maidservants who had been sworn to secrecy for the rest of their lives. Anytime that Queen Kuramitsu ever stepped out, she wore a mask on her face, hiding in plain sight.
No one knew what she even smelled like truly because her scents were always scattered all over. It was a tactic that Queen Kuramitsu used to make herself unpredictable and that made her even more dangerous.
To Rinko, this woman was the danger she needed to stay away from, and yet the poor maid servant was unfortunate enough to be one of the people that the madwoman trusted.
"Your majesty, you've been unconscious and running a fever for a month now. You're in your kingdom, the Kuramitsu kingdom," Rinko said shakily, her bowed head never leaving her position, a reminder that she was just someone the crazy woman could replace at any time.
For a moment, the maidservant expected that she would be disposed of, that her life would forever remain an empty one… until her Queen spoke again.
"Get up and get the fuck out," Yuzuki commanded and Rinko nodded before she rushed out, never once turning back, for fear that another blade would be close to striking her again.
She was worried about the safety of the Queen and even worse her sanity. Perhaps that was all for now, but was it for Yuzuki too? She had heard the servants talk about the meeting being important.
Was it supposed to be a chance for her to show up again? And a month out? That was too long a time span for anyone to be out of their mind, but here she was. Maybe that was why it had been easier for the goddess to get her here, right?
Oh, but Yuzuki had a lot of thoughts. She wondered if there was ever going to be a rebellion of the people of Kurayami eventually learned that she was just a traveling soul in their Queen.
Would it be alright?
Everyone in Kuramitsu and beyond knew their Queen was crazy and the worst of villains out there she was without a soul and she had nothing that anyone would ever be looking forward to facing really.
She was the worst of the worst, the most unhinged woman in the entire realm. The outburst from her chambers had gotten the people outside so scared that even the guards who stood at the door of the Queen's chambers had made a run for it.
Perhaps they were scared they would be turned into minced meat before the evening as done.
"Oh, Kuramitsu," Yuzuki voiced as she walked to the nearest mirror, studying her new form. She had so many scars on her body, almost like she had spent all her life on the battlefield.
She had swords all over in her chambers something that was evident from the huge and wide mirror that Yuzuki had seen in in her chambers. Her hair was dark and long, a little too long for Yuzuki.
She almost considered cutting it before she remembered that the Kurayamis believed that the longer the hair on a warrior's head, the larger the number of battles and wars the person had taken part in and won.
So that was a no for her, even though Yuzuki wished she would have her shorter hair back. Then again, that was of no consequence right now anyway. It was like the world had shifted and yet deep own, she knew this was bound.
The changes were expected, and the rage too.
Perhaps it was because she was suddenly the mad Queen that everyone was scared of.
Or maybe it was because she was the one woman who had lost so much in her past life and had suddenly woken up in a new body, a new chamber and with people whispering about how cruel she had always been.
The blade she had thrown at the servant, Rinko, was just a test to see whether what she had heard from the people outside was true or not; and it was, which excited Yuzuki even as she stood before the mirror.
"Looks like I truly did wake up in the body of the realm's craziest devil," the woman whispered as she stared at her new features.
She looked like a seasoned warrior which should have made her a little crazy since the last time she had interacted with a sword she had ended up being bested.
But there was something about the new body, something about the profile that she had gotten in touch with, that had her wondering if this was the right move for her. Then again, hadn't she made a dying wish when she was weak and spread out on the battlefield for her enemy to take out?
Wasn't that what she had asked for?
To be strong enough?
At the same time, she had different thoughts. What if this woman had amassed so many enemies? Well, perhaps it came with her position, the woman who was considered the most powerful.
"What fucking year is it?" Yuzuki asked hoping that she had been brought into a timeline that she knew nothing of.
