Nathan's POV
I was forcibly woken up by the loud banging of my cell gate. My eyes shot open, but before I could understand what was happening, two guards grabbed my arms and yanked me up from the cold, damp floor. My body ached from exhaustion. I hadn't eaten in what felt like 24 hours—maybe more. It seemed the guards had forgotten to feed me. Or maybe they just didn't care.
I wanted to struggle, to demand where they were taking me, but my strength had long abandoned me. My hands and legs were still chained, the heavy metal digging into my raw skin as they dragged me out of the dimly lit cell and into the yard.
