This world… was once mine.
A world of peace, untouched by war. A world where people knew only joy, where suffering was just a forgotten concept. Until they came.
The Koronji Beings, also known as the Evil Beings monsters from another dimension. They did not conquer worlds for power or resources. No, they saw worlds as nothing more than entertainment. Playthings to shatter and reshape as they pleased.
They destroyed my world.
Now, the people you see around you… they aren't real. The smiles, the laughter, the illusion of normal life it's all fabricated. A trick.
A lie.
This world isn't real
But the truth is, you were never supposed to be here at all.
"Why would they do that?" I asked, my voice shaking.
Rin, her expression filled with both sorrow and urgency. Her dark eyes burned with something deeper than feardetermination.
"Because you… are the only one who can kill them."
I took a step back. "What do you mean? I don't understand."
Her gaze didn't waver.
"In the future, you destroyed them. Every single one. But one of them… escaped. He and trapped you here in this world."
I felt my heart pound harder against my ribs. "What does that have to do with "
"When your heart was filled with despair, they tricked you. They made you believe in this so they could trap you here forever, before you ever awakened your power."
Her words felt like daggers, piercing through the fragile reality I had accepted for so long.
"Why?" My voice was barely above a whisper.
"Because in the near future, they will invade your Earth and do the same thing they did to my world."
A cold chill ran down my spine. My Earth?
"If that's true… why didn't they just kill me ?"
She shook her head. "They can't."
"Why not?"
"Because you wouldn't die."
I stared at her, my mind racing. "What are you saying?"
"You're not a normal human. You are the one destined to defeat them. But…" she hesitated, a flicker of regret crossing her face, "you made a mistake. You didn't kill one of them… and now, this is the result."
A heavy silence hung between us.
"Then… what do we do now?" I asked, my voice firm despite the storm inside me.
"First, we need to escape this world."
"How?"
She took a deep breath, her expression darkening.
"You need to remember.
I frowned. "Remember what?"
"Everything."
A strange sensation twisted in my chest. A memory I couldn't grasp, lingering just out of reach.
"You've already died 24 times."
My body froze.
"Each time you die, you are revived… but you lose all your memories."
The air felt heavier. I struggled to breathe, my mind spinning.
My eyes widened
I swallowed hard. "How?"
"The Koronji Beings have already noticed us." Her voice was urgent now. "You need to go before they find us"
"What about you?" I asked.
A small smile touched her lips.
"Don't worry. I am safe here. We will meet again soon."
I wanted to ask more, questions and know the answers, but before I could speak
Everything blurred.
Darkness swallowed me whole.
When I opened my eyes, I was outside the valley.
The world around me was exactly as I remembered. The soft breeze. The endless blue sky. The familiar streets filled with people.
But now, I knew the truth.
It was all a lie.
And I was trapped.
But for the first time… I was aware.
And I was killed 24 times before I losed my memories.
As soon as I reached home, I went straight to bed, exhausted from the day and felt like I was forgetting something . But just as my body relaxed, a sudden, excruciating pain shot through my head.
"Aghhh!" I clutched my temples, gritting my teeth as unbearable pain coursed through me. My vision blurred, and then
A scene unfolded before my eyes.
I saw myself standing in the midst of a battlefield, gripping a sword, slashing through monstrous creatures. Their roars echoed around me, and the smell of blood filled the air. My heart pounded as I moved with an unnatural swiftness, cutting them down one by one.
And then darkness.
I gasped, my breath ragged as I shot up from my bed. Sweat dripped down my face as I tried to steady myself.
"What was that…?" I murmured, still feeling the phantom weight of the sword in my hand.
A memory of the future?
Before I could process it, a strange sensation tingled on the back of my right hand. I looked down and froze.
A glowing white cross-shaped symbol had appeared on my skin. The mark pulsated with energy, radiating warmth.
"What is this?" I hesitantly reached out and touched it.
In an instant, a sword materialized before me, floating in mid-air.
My eyes widened. "What… the hell?"
"It's the Holy Sword. The weapon you will use to slay the Koronji beings."
A voice rang from behind.
Startled, I spun around and found a familiar figure standing there.
"Yo, Haruto~!" Rin waved at me with a smile.
I blinked in confusion. "Rin? How the hell did you get inside my room?"
She lifted a finger to her lips playfully. "Hmm, it's a secret~"
I deadpanned. "You do realize sneaking into a guy's room like this is kinda pervy, right?"
"Hehe~ Who knows?" she teased, grinning.
I sighed and looked back at the sword. "Seriously though, what is this thing? It looks like one of those overpowered swords from an anime… uh, what was it called again? Demon Sword of Excalibur?"
Rin's expression instantly turned to disappointment. She stared at me, deadpan.
"...Are you a kid?"
"I mean!" I groaned, rubbing my forehead. "C'mon, it was a great anime! No one understands its greatness…"
"Shut up and listen," she cut me off, her voice serious now. "That sword it's called the Holy Light Sword, also known as Holy Lancer."
"Holy… Lancer?" I echoed.
She nodded. "It is one of three sacred weapons granted to the Chosen Ones. The other two Holy Bow and Holy Shield belong to two different wielders. Just like you, they're trapped in this world. You need to find them before the Koronji beings realize you've awakened."
I stared at her, processing the information.
Then, with a blank expression, I said, "Yeah, well, I don't even know how to use it. This is like giving me a gun without bullets."
Rin sighed. "I'll teach you the basics, but after that, you're on your own."
I groaned, dramatically falling to my knees. "Man, I don't wanna fight monsters! Rin, help meeee!"
She gave me a doubtful look, shaking her head in disappointment. "I swear… did the gods choose the wrong guy?"
"Haha~! Just kidding!" I quickly stood up, laughing nervously.
Rin rolled her eyes. "Anyway, we need to find the others."
"Where do we start?" I asked.
Rin smirked. "One of them is in your school."
"Huh?" I blinked in surprise. "And the other?"
She crossed her arms. "He's standing right in front of you."
I turned around, scanning the room. "Where? Where—?"
Rin sighed deeply. "You fool. It's me."
I straightened up. "Oh… I knew that."
Rin facepalmed.
"So, you have one of the Holy Weapons?" I asked.
She nodded. "I wield the Holy Bow, also known as Holy Execute."
"Shii ..what a name," I muttered. "Hey, can I name mine Excalibur instead?"
Rin's eyebrow twitched. "...No."
"Oh, come on! Imagine Holy Excalibur Slash!! I'd cut through monsters, stand on top of their corpses, laughing heroically hahaha!" I dramatically posed.
Thwack!
"Ow!" I yelped as Rin smacked me on the head.
"Stop daydreaming! And no, you cannot rename your sword!" she scolded.
"Hah?? Why not?! It's my sword!" I pouted.
"Who said that?"
A deep voice echoed from below.
I slowly looked down.
The sword it talked.
I immediately let go.
Clang! The weapon hit the ground.
"Ow! You fool! Don't drop me!"
"W-WHAT THE HELL?!" I jumped back.
Rin sighed. "Yeah, all Holy Weapons can talk. They were forged by God's angels."
"Woah, that's… kinda cool."
"Indeed," Rin's bow chimed in.
Now that made me even more curious. I quickly picked up my sword again, grinning.
"Hey, hey, sword, do you like the name Excalibur?"
"No."
"Oh, come on! You do, right?" I teased.
"Sigh. I said no, you fool."
"Ehhh~? But it's such a cute name~" I dramatically slumped in the corner, fake crying.
"Don't act, Haruto. I know you're faking it. That won't work on me."
I pouted. "Tch. Fine. But… wait a second." My eyes narrowed. "How do you know my name?"
The sword sighed heavily.
"Are you seriously this dense?" it groaned. "Talking to you is like talking to a wall. My luck I'm stuck with you for 40 years."
Rin's bow chuckled. "It's fine, Lancer."
"No, it's NOT," Your welder atleast has a brain . " Haruto His brain cell count is actually negative."
I gasped, clutching my chest. "That… hurts…" I said dramatically.
"Shut up for a second, Haruto," Rin groaned. "We have something important to discuss."
I crossed my arms. "Fine, fine. What is it?"
"The Holy Shield."
I straightened up. "So where is he?"
Rin's expression turned serious. "We don't know yet. But we're certain he exists in this world."
"Great… so what's the plan?"
"Tomorrow, we start searching."
I nodded. "And how will we know who he is?"
"Don't use your brain," My sword lancer said flatly. "It's not even functioning."
"...Fair point Rin said notting ."
I sighed okay
But you know...before I completed
Shut upppp Haruto both lance and Rin shouted
Sight..
A soft, warm sensation pressed against me as I slowly opened my eyes. My vision cleared, and I found myself face-to-face with Rin, her chest resting against me.
I immediately let go, jolting upright.
"What are you doing in my bed, Rin?!" I asked, panicking.
She mumbled sleepily, "Hmm? I want to eat pancakes…"
With a deadpan expression, I forcibly shook her awake.
"Who who is it?!" she panicked, looking around in confusion.
"Why are you in my bed?" I repeated, my face blank with disbelief.
"My house was destroyed," she replied nonchalantly.
I raised an eyebrow. "How?"
"Because I destroyed it."
There was a long silence. "...What do you mean you destroyed it?" I asked, dreading her response.
"Well, you know, I wanted to try my new skill, Sky Dragon, but I kinda... couldn't control it. And it, uh, hit my house. Hehe."
I stared at her, exasperated. "What do you mean 'hehe'?" I sighed. "So, you have nowhere to go?"
"Nope. Thanks for letting me stay at your place! I appreciate it!" she said with a smile.
"Hey, when did I agree to this?!"
"Thank you," she repeated, ignoring me.
"Oi, Rin, did you hear what I just said?"
She acted oblivious, pretending not to hear me.
"What the ugh, fine," I sighed in defeat.
"Yay! Victory is mine!" she cheered.
"It's morning, can you guys keep it down?" a gruff voice interrupted.
Shut up you fools said lancer
"Good morning, Excalibur," I greeted with a teasing grin.
"My name is not that, you brainless idiot."
"Oh, don't be shy~," I teased.
"Shut up, Haruto."
"There, there, don't fight," Rin's bow suddenly spoke.
Speaking of which… "Hey, Rin's bow, what's your name?" I asked.
"I am known as Holy Execute, but you may call me Trinity."
"Oh, what a cool name! That'll come in handy."
"Now, about today's plan," Rin said, . "We need to search for the Holy Shield, also known as the Guardian Shield, and its wielder."
"Alright, let's start with our school," I suggested.
"Oki! Let's do that!" Rin replied .
"Oh, by the way, Rin, while you were sleeping, you mumbled, 'I want to eat pancakes~'."
Her face turned red instantly, and she smacked me on the head.
"Hey! What was that for?!"
"Shut up, Haruto!" she snapped.
I sighed, rubbing my head. "I didn't even do anything wrong…"
"Enough, you two," Lancer interjected. "Let's get moving."
As we were about to leave, I noticed a nearby pancake stand. "Oh, there's a pan "
"Shut up, Haruto!" Rin yelled.
"Okay, okay," I said with a sigh, accepting my fate.
"But how are you going to enter my school, Rin?" I asked.
"Don't worry. I have an idea."
Moments later…
"That's your idea?!" I deadpanned.
"Hehe~ How do I look?" she asked, now disguised as a teacher.
"They'll figure it out immediately," I replied.
"No, they won't."
"Yes, they will."
Moment's later....Rin actually managed to get inside the school without anyone noticing.
"How did she not get caught?" I muttered in disappointment.
"Haha! Told you!" she gloated.
"I guess people in my school are dumber than me," I mumbled under my breath.
"Shut it and get moving."
"Heyo, Haruto! Good morning!"
I turned to see Yahiko,"Good morning," I replied half-heartedly.
His eyes shifted to Rin, and he leaned closer to whisper, "Who's this beautiful woman by your side?"
"Our so-called new teacher," I said dryly.
"Hey! I can hear you," Rin huffed and smacked me again.
Yahiko, unfazed, turned to Rin. "Hello, Miss. You are so beautiful!"
"Don't say that… I feel shy," Rin replied, acting all innocent.
"Okay, I'm out of here," I said in disappointment.
Before I could leave, Rin grabbed my collar. "Oi, Haruto. He's the one."
"What do you mean 'he's the one'?" I asked.
Rin smirked. "Oh my~ He's the Holy Shield wielder."
I froze. Shocked, I turned to Yahiko. "What?!"
Yahiko? The wielder of the Holy Shield? This guy who is dumber than me?!
"Oh no, not him… please," I groaned in sorrow.
"Let's kidnap him," Rin suggested casually.
"HUH?! Kidnap?!"
Before I could protest further, she cast a spell, and Yahiko collapsed.
"Job done!" she said proudly.
"What the ?!" I panicked.
"Run!" Rin shouted.
We sprinted away with Yahiko.
Then, mid-run, I realized something. "Wait… where's Yahiko?!"
"You were carrying him, weren't you?" Rin asked.
"What do you mean?! I thought you were carrying him with magic or something!"
"I don't have a spell like that!"
Both of us stopped.
We sprinted back to find Yahiko still lying on the ground. No one had even bothered to pick him up.
Rin pointed at me. "You carry him, Haruto."
"Why should I?! You're the one who knocked him out!"
"Oh nooo~ What an ungentlemanly man, making a delicate woman do all the heavy work!" she said dramatically.
"Fine! I'll carry him. Just stop acting." I sighed in disappointment.
We resumed sprinting.
"So why did you do that, exactly?" I asked.
"It's obvious. What would we have told him? That he's a Holy Weapon wielder and needs to fight monsters? He'd think we were crazy!"
"...You actually have a point there."
"Shut up and carry him. Don't use your brain too much," Rin said smugly.
"Yes, Miss Queen, as you wish," I replied sarcastically.
"Where are we taking him?"
We both stopped.
"Hmm. Good question," Rin muttered.
"And I'm the dumb one? You didn't even think this through!"
"Shut it. I know a place."
Moments later…
"...This is my house," I deadpanned.
"Yes, I guess," Rin replied nonchalantly.
"Woah, what if my mom catches us?!"
"She's not home."
"How do you know?"
"I heard her on the phone saying she was going out with a friend."
I sighed. "Great. Now you're spying on my mom…"
"Hehe~" she laughed proudly.
With a disappointed expression, I asked, "Why do you look so proud?"
Lancer groaned. "What a duo you both are… Just take him inside already, you fools!"
"Okay, sir!" we both replied.
Yahiko groggily opened his eyes. "Haa… What was that dream? Where am I?"
"Helo, Yahiko I greeted"
"Haruto… where am I?"
"You don't have eyes? It's my house, ."
"Yeah, but… what am I doing here? I was at school, and then… I had this weird dream. I was holding a shield and fighting monsters…"
"That wasn't a dream," Rin stated.
Yahiko stared at her in confusion.
"Since I already experienced this, I am your father now," I said smugly.
"Haruto, you son of a !"
"Why am I stuck with so many dumb people…? Get me out of here!" Lancer groaned.
"Rin.. explain him everything lancer said "
Rin took a deep breath before looking at Yahiko. "You are the last member of our aketsu team…"
Yahiko raised an eyebrow. "Huh? What are you saying?"
"First, just listen, will you?" Rin sighed.
"Fine, ma'am." Yahiko crossed his arms.
"In the future, the three of us were the ones who stopped them," Rin continued.
. "How did you get here, Rin asked ?"
"What do you mean? I was born here… or so I thought." Yahiko replied.
"So you don't remember?unlike this dumb Haruto ?" Rin stated.
"Shii, I am always superior to you, Yahiko." I grinned.
Yahiko stared at me with a deadpan expression. "Yeah?"
He then turned to Rin. "And what about you, miss? You're different from both of us."
Rin nodded. "Yes, this world is originally mine. I was born here, but in the future, I got reincarnated on Earth, where we fought alone. I am also trapped here, but I regained my memories early on."
Yahiko clenched his fists. "I… I can't process this."
"Look at your hand," Rin instructed.
He glanced down, and before his eyes, a glowing mark appeared on his skin, similar to Rin's.
"What is this?" he asked.
"Touch it! Touch it, Yahiko!" I grinned excitedly.
The moment he pressed the mark, a brilliant light erupted, and a shield materialized in his hand.
"What… is this?" he gasped.
"Your weapon," Rin replied simply.
"So, you weren't lying…" Yahiko muttered.
"All this time, you thought I was lying?" Rin scoffed.
"Hehe… sorry," Yahiko scratched his head.
"By the way, it talks," I added.
"Oh nooooo! Why did you tell him?!" The shield wailed in grief.
Yahiko's eyes widened. "Woah, a talking shield! I'll name him Shieldo!"
I gave him a proud thumbs-up. "Nice one! Shieldo, haha!"
"DO NOT CALL ME THAT! I AM GUARDIAN SHIELD, NOT A TOY!"
"Still, it's a good name, right?" I grinned.
"Haha, yeah! Shieldo it is!" Yahiko laughed.
"My name is NOT Shieldo," the shield grumbled.
"So, what should I do now?" Yahiko asked.
"Woah, you adjusted fast," Rin remarked. "At least you have some brain cells, unlike Haruto."
"Eh?! Why do you always ugh, never mind," I sighed.
"Starting today, you and Haruto will train to wield your weapons. Once you master them, we'll leave this world and attack the Koronji before they invade Earth this time," Rin explained.
"Shii, sounds cool," I said excitedly.
I tilted my head. "By the way, Rin, sometimes you're serious, and sometimes you act dumb. What's your real personality?"
She bonked me on the head. "None of your business!"
Rin then crossed her arms. "Anyway, the team name… aketsu? What a crap name."
"RIGHT?! This fool Haruto came up with it!"Rin exclaimed.
Both of them turned to me with disappointed faces.
"What? Isn't it good?" I asked.
"As if," they both replied with deadpan faces.
"Don't insult me, not the person who named his weapon Shieldo."
"My name is NOT Shieldo!" the shield yelled.
"HAHAHA!" Yahiko and I burst into laughter.
"Enough!" . Stop messing around lancer sighed."
"Rin start..the process"
Moment's later
We moved to an open space, and Rin created a protective barrier around us.
"Both of you, sit down and give me your hands."
Rin began chanting. Feel the wind and smell of the surroundings do you see. Light spheres floated in the air.
"What spheres? I see only darkness," I muttered.
"Shut up, Haruto, and concentrate," Rin scolded.
She turned. "Do you see it?"
"Yes… I see them. There are many."
"Good. Now, hold your weapons and stand up."
We gripped our weapons tightly.
"Now, say: 'Destroy all darkness, holy light.'"
We shouted in unison, "Destroy all darkness, holy light!"
A surge of energy rushed through my body.
"Woah! I feel lighter… and stronger!" Yahiko gasped.
"Haruto, your skill is Holy Slash! Yahiko, defend with Holy Shield!" Rin commanded.
I slashed my sword forward. "HOLY SLASH!"
Yahiko raised his shield. "HOLY SHIELD!"
A massive shockwave erupted between us, sending both of us flying backward.
We landed hard on the ground but quickly sat up, eyes shining.
"Wow! That was fun!" we both exclaimed.
Rin placed her hands on her hips. "Okay, now do it again. And again. Until you perfect it. Maybe you'll even regain your memories."
"You're going somewhere?" I asked.
"I have to find Kuno," she answered.
"Alright, see ya."
As Rin walked away, Yahiko turned to me with a grin.
"Okay! Shall we do it again?"
"YEAH! LET'S DO IT!"
Our voices echoed through the training field as we continued our battle training....
