As the sun began to set, Bella and the girls waited anxiously for Jr's return. They had been expecting him all day, but as the hours ticked by, they began to lose hope.
Bonita's eyes welled up with tears as she said, "Bella, he's like all the others. He doesn't want us."
Bella quickly wrapped her arms around Bonita, comforting her. "Don't cry, Bonita. All will be okay. Let's head inside, it's getting cold."
The girls reluctantly followed Bella into their shelter, their hearts heavy with disappointment. They had been so sure that Jr was different, that he genuinely wanted to help them.
As they settled in for the night, Bella tried to reassure them. "We don't know what happened to Jr. Maybe something unexpected came up. We'll just have to wait and see."
But as they drifted off to sleep, Bella couldn't shake off the feeling that Jr had abandoned them. She had been so sure that he was the one who could help them.
Meanwhile, Jr was unaware of the disappointment he had caused. He had been held up at the meeting with the president and had lost track of time.
As he sat in his office, catching up on some work, he couldn't help but think about Bella and the girls. He had promised to return the next day, and he was determined to keep his promise.
Little did Jr know that the next day would bring its own set of challenges and surprises. But for now, he was focused on making things right with Bella and the girls.
