Chapter 156 - Chapter 156: A Family Movie

Jr changed into comfortable attire and headed out to join his family in the garden. They were watching a family movie, laughing and chatting together. Jr's father, Hampton the Second, excused himself to take a call, and Jr followed him, curious about who it might be.

As it turned out, the call was from Jr's mother, who was checking in with her husband. Jr's father filled him in on the conversation, "She's coming back the day after tomorrow. She wants to visit her mother in Green City first."

Jr nodded, happy to hear that his mother would be returning soon. "I'm glad she's coming back," he said, smiling at his father.

Hampton the Second smiled back, "Me too, son. Me too." He paused, then added, "You know, I'm glad you advised me not to cut down that forest. I don't know what would have happened to those girls if we had."

Jr shrugged, "You didn't know there were people living in the forest, Dad. It's not your fault."

Hampton the Second nodded, "Still, I'm glad we could help those girls. And I'm proud of you, Jr. You're doing a great job with the investigation."

Jr smiled, feeling grateful for his father's support. "Thanks, Dad. The meeting went well today, by the way."

Hampton the Second raised an eyebrow, "Oh? What happened?"

Jr filled him in on the details, and his father listened intently. When Jr finished speaking, Hampton the Second nodded thoughtfully.

"I'm glad to hear that, son. You're doing a great job. Now, let's go join the others. They're watching Spy Kids."

Jr grinned, "Sounds like fun. Let's go."

Together, they headed back to the garden, where the rest of the family was laughing and cheering at the movie. Jr and his father joined in, enjoying the rest of the evening together.

As the night wore on, Jr felt grateful for the love and support of his family. He knew that he was lucky to have them in his life, and he cherished every moment they spent together.

The movie finally came to an end, and the family began to disperse. Jr's grandmother yawned, "I'm tired. I think I'll head to bed."

Jr's father nodded, "I'll walk you to your room, Mother."

As they said their goodbyes, Jr smiled, feeling content and happy. It had been a wonderful evening, and he was grateful to have shared it with his family.
