"My name is Irina Shidou." The brown-haired girl said as Issei's right eyebrow twitched hearing that name. "Recently the Holy swords of Excalibur that were being kept in the Vatican Protestant and Eastern Orthodox churches have been stolen."
"Excalibur's?" Katase asked "I thought it was a single sword."
"I'm sorry she just became a devil and isn't aware of Excalibur's story." Rias said.
"Excalibur isn't a singular sword anymore." Issei said as he stood up from the window sill and moved over in front of the desk. "After the war, Excalibur was split into seven swords. Don't know if it was God of the bible if he split it to spite anybody who tried to use it after Arthur died or if it was cursed by the lady of the lake to split once Arthur's job was done."
"Iss…...ei" Irina studdered out as Issei waved her off.
"This is Excalibur now." The blue-haired girl lifted her blade as the wrappings fell off the blade revealing a large two-handed blade with a small ax-like handle next to the grip.
There was a wave of holy aura that washed over the room, it was nothing for Issei as it wasn't that powerful but it was still holy power for the devils.
Chills run down their bodies as Issei watched as Katase and Murayama shivered.
"Excalibur was reforged into seven new blades through alchemy, and this is one of them. I hold Excalibur Destruction, one of the seven swords created. Currently under control of the Catholic Church."
"Then that makes you Xenovia Quarta with the running nickname Violence permitted by God."
The now named Xenovia shot Issei a dirty look "You know her?" Rias asked as Issei shook his head.
"Only by name, nothing more that."
"How do you know of that Issei-Kun?" Irina was cheerful seeing him.
Issei wagged his finger "A lady never… a magician…"
"Your brain stopped didn't it?" Akeno asked Issei as none of those analogies were going to work.
"Yes, it has, rather painfully as well." Issei rubbed his head
"Mine is Excalibur Mimic!" Around her left arm was a wrapping that unravels off her arm as the cloth shifted form into a plain-looking Katana. "It can change its shape into anything I want it to. It makes it so easy for carrying around especially air travel. "
"Irina we don't need to tell these devils about our abilities."
"We have to form a trust relation, even if I tell them my ability I won't lose to them."
Issei looked over to Rias and saw Yumi in the back fuming over something. He made a note to find out what that was all about, but considering the subject matter, it felt obvious. "So what does stolen Excaliburs have to do with Japan? We are in the Land of the Rising Sun, Excalibur tends to be a European issue."
Xenovia spoke up "Each sect of churches were in possession of two swords as the seventh blade has been missing since the war. One Excaliber was stolen from each church and escaped to Japan, specifically this town."
"It seems as if my territory is a hotbed for incidents. So who stole them and brought them here?"
"The holy blades were stolen by the Grigor." Xenovia said shocking everyone aside from Issei.
"Your holy swords were taken by the fallen angel of the Grigor? No mistake, you're 100% sure of this?" Rias had to make sure this was true.
"Somehow I doubt Azazel ordered the blades to be stolen. He already has enough stuff to do." Issei said somewhat unenthused.
"We know the culprit is one of the leaders of the Grigor Kakabiel."
"Ahhhhhh the Star of God or the Angel of the Stars. The Angel who supposedly brought Astrology to humanity in its infancy." Issei mused hearing the name.
"I never expected the name of somebody from the bible to appear in my territory."
"We have sent priests and exorcists to this town in secret but they keep coming up dead." Xenovia said as she continued "Our request…" Xenovia shook her head "No our order is that there will be no devils in our fight with the fallen angels. Don't interfere with this incident."
"Let me get this right, you want me to ignore a threat in my territory and let the two of you roam around as if nothing is wrong? Or is it that you think that we might team up with the fallen and do something to or with Excalibur?" Pride is a fickle thing and Rias wasn't going to be ordered around by some nobodies in the grand scheme of things.
"The higher-ups don't trust devils and fallen. We were ordered to retrieve the swords and we will do that even if you are the little sister of a Maou."
Rias glared at Xenovia "If you know who I am then you must have connections inside of the church authority. In the name of House Gremory, I would never form an alliance with fallen angels to tarnish our family."
"Good enough. Kokabiel is hiding with the three Excaliburs in this town.
So if something happens headquarters will hold me liable so I'm not going to ask for your cooperation.
But if you were to form a temporary alliance that would tip the balance of the three factions." Issei was getting a mental laugh hearing Xenovia speak as she was clueless about the reality of the world.
"Where is the last sword dispatched currently?"
Xenovia answered Rias "That last person is on standby. They are planning to protect the last Excalibur if Irina and I fail here."
"Just the two of you?" Rias pointed at the two of them "The two of you are going to retrieve three blades from a Fallen angel leader who has seen more combat than all of us combined? Are you dumb or trying to die on purpose?"
"Yes." Irina said as Xenovia backed her up "I have the same view as Irina, but I don't want to die."
"So you hopped on a plane from Italy to Japan prepared to Die? Your beliefs in your teachings are far too extreme as is the norm."
