Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1: THE BOY WHO LOST EVERYTHING

'Oracle' The beginning and end of everything in existence is unknown. It is unclear if it is human, beast, or just a blob of chaos, but it is the pioneer of existence itself. It is the reason everything in existence was created. It has different names - sometimes it's called the origin, chaos, or prime. It is the chain that holds existence together, not allowing it to go awry. It allows the rules of existence to unfold as they should. Existence itself is thriving because of it, but no matter how perfect something is going, no matter how well, just a slight deviation can ruin everything. What if this deviation happened in Oracle, the creator of all existence and the controller itself? Does it mean that the whole of existence is doomed?

"Ah, Ah" gasps were heard as a scrawny fifteen-year-old boy ran through the jungle. Countless skeletons with dark energies wafting out of them were chasing after him with high intensity. The boy continued running through the jungle with high-pitched breath. The weak, malnourished fifteen-year-old body could not take it again, and

"Bam!" he landed with high intensity on the ground. The skeletons did not give him a break, as their eerie voices made their way over with their massive body frames and ghastly mouths emitting the darkest energy in existence before

"Chomp!" chowing down on him.

"Ahh" - a gasp was heard as the same boy sat up on his bed in the midst of darkness.

"Pa" - the light in the room was turned on to reveal the malnourished boy inside the large room with a large bed. The only thing inside the room was the bed, as there was nothing else there again.

"The nightmare again" - he could not help but sigh tiredly. It was the nightmare that had been weighing down on his mind ever since he had lost his parents. It felt as if what had killed his parents was now coming back for him, which was not something so interesting. That's Wallace Ace, who was once the younger generation that made every other younger generation envious of them.

This time, Earth has developed its technology and civilization. It all started in the year 2050 when the atmosphere of Earth started changing. Human exploitation of natural resources finally took its toll, and the ozone layer protecting the Earth finally vanished. It was then that humans knew the importance of the ozone layer in the air. Without the ozone layer, at first, the development of a virus that erased ninety-nine percent of humans from the Earth's surface occurred. It was more than an apocalypse - a disaster that fostered forced evolution in humans, which caused ninety-nine percent of the population to be wiped out, just from one way, explosion. The cells of everyone on Earth started developing at a rapid rate, secreting energy that the humans could not take, causing massive explosions of bodies after they had been overloaded. The human race was almost wiped out during that period.

The remaining one percent that were able to survive were able to develop their genes and successfully evolve, reaching the next evolution stage of human, causing them to develop mystic abilities. But that was not the end of it all. Humans who thought they had all been able to survive and were now in the golden age were struck with disaster again due to the absence of ozone layers. Otherworldly gates leading to domains that exist at some faraway places in the universe started to open up, and

"Boom!" Ghastly species also started to stream out. Beasts that looked like humans and other species started causing fifty percent of what remains in the population to be wiped out.

It was a really dark age for the human species, as they were forced to evacuate their spaces. They were either killed, taken as slaves, or forced to become scavengers in a world they believed they owned. After a long while of suffering, a savior finally appeared - the light needed finally arrived, and it's from a race called the half-angel race. A race that shone so bright that it suppressed all the darkness in the heart of the remaining survivors. They saved the humans, made them know about the potential they thought they never had, and allowed them to tap into it. Within fifty years, humans became one of the strongest in their domain. Within a hundred years, they were able to conquer the strange species that entered their universe, allowing them to become one of the strongest in their domain.

After a thousand years, they became one of the strongest in the galaxy, and they are at the universal level now, exploring the universe. But ever since humans tapped into their potential and became one of the strongest in the universe, their reproduction became hindered. Currently, humans are in the top one hundred races in the universe, but their reproduction rate hindered them, as they are supposed to be one of the strongest ten.

They are stronger than some of the top ten in the universe, but reproduction has never been easy again. Their quantity was sacrificed for their quality. After almost two thousand years, they have not even regained fifty percent of their former population, but they have four main power systems. The mythic warriors that can take all forms of transformation due to the divine bloodline in them; they can transform into dragons that soar the skies and different species. The elementalists that control all forms of elements, ranging from fire all the way to the supreme ones, which are space and time. The diviners that are known for harnessing another type of energy that directly raises their combat power and even improves their species. And the mecha warriors that are known for controlling one of the strongest weapons of humanity, the battle mechas.

Only a little bit of humans are not able to tap into their potential, and unluckily, the fifteen-year-old boy is one of them. Wallace Ace was born from one of the strongest pillars of humanity, Messi Ace, one of the most powerful mythic warriors that can't transform into a creature that has both the body of a bird and fish. The mythic divine beast that can swallow anything and turn it into its energy, and Elena Ace, one of the strongest elementalists that controls space with a little bit of time. They fought on the frontlines for years, allowing humanity to conquer domains, before they gave birth to Leonel, who was also showing a rare talent for his age, at least until that happened.

When Leonel was five, his parents were out on war, and a type of organization, the dark age organization, abducted him, where they spent months experimenting on him before his parents finally got to him, but by the time they got to him, it was late. Leonel, who has both the ability of his father and mother, found out he could no longer connect with that ability and became a useless person. His parents were devastated, but they finally recovered, making themselves strong. As humans tap into their potential, their lifespans also increase. Their ability quotient ranges from evolvers, who have just tapped into their potential, to surpassers, who have been able to shape their body to master stage, then to grandmaster stage, then to the king stage, to the emperor stage, and then to the supreme.

The evolvers, which is the lowest ability quotient, can destroy a building with just a little bit of their powers, and each has nine stages. The majority of humans were evolvers, because when a human becomes an evolver, they become something like gods after awakening their ability, but before that, they are in the mortal stages, where they have to prepare their body to be able to harness their powers. The mortal stages have surpassed the normal mortal stages, as they can easily knock humans out. Leonel was known to have been given birth to with one of the strongest constitutions that has surpassed an evolver, despite not being an evolver, and also three divine-grade talents, with one of them being mythic, and the remaining two being elementals. He became one of the focuses of humanity, as they believed he would lead them to a new age where they would reign supreme in the universe, but everything ended when he was abducted.

He not only lost his talent but also the lifespan that comes with it. Human lifespan doubles with every evolution, but with Leonel not being able to harness his powers, he became a regular human who would die when he reached a hundred. His parents decided to be strong for him, since they would outlive their son; at least they should make him have everything in life, but it all ended in the war against the dark race, the war called the dark war. His parents sacrificed their lives in the war.

Leonel Ace, who was once the pride of humanity, was now nothing but a useless, weak, and malnourished boy, who would die like every other normal human. He was a disappointment to humanity, and he knew it. He was a reminder of what could have been, but never was. He was a shadow of his former self, a mere mortal, who would never be able to reach his true potential.
