Heyooo, Mementoray here!
Before we dive into the story, there are a few things I want to mention. First off, I'm 18 and a first-time writer....unless we're counting that absolute masterpiece I wrote on Wattpad when I was 11, which I kinda deleted after two chapters (probably for the best), So please be kind with your feedback!
(Dont worry i will not drop this Novel, unlike the story on Wattpad, i do have it all planned out this time. So even if not many read this, i hope the ones that do, like it)
English is actually my third language, my mother tongue and German being the other two, so if you spot any grammar mistakes, feel free to correct me. My writing style is still evolving, so you might notice some shifts throughout the story, but I promise I'll do my best to make this an enjoyable ride.
Ps; Advice is always appreciated!
Besides, I wanted to be upfront about the fact that I use AI to help structure my wording in the beginning (As in, i write the chapter, and if im hanging somewhere, or if i dont know how to detail something, such as feelings or facial expressions, im asking my AI to help me out.) But the plot, the characters, the twists and turns and all the connections between the characters? That's all me.
I also don't plan on contracting (because I don't trust the system, and also because I have absolutely no idea how it works. But mostly because this story has personal meaning for me and i just want to share it).
I came to the realisation that i dont appreciate the art of books as much as i did before, so i want to figure out how much dedication, planning and effort you need to create one in the first place, so i can rediscover my admiration for books again.
Now, about the story itself, some things might not make complete sense at first, but please trust the process. The world, the abilities and the rules governing them will be gradually revealed throughout the story, so it might feel like there's a lot of mystery in the beginning. There will be a lot of cliché's in it aswell but who doesn't love some good old cliché's?
I sure do. There's something beautiful about them. Not the repetitive kind that leads to monotony, but the way certain themes connect stories across time, how books can share similarities yet still create something entirely new. Get me?
Right, back to the book itself, the story heavily relies on the psychological and emotional aspects of humans.
I noticed how desensitized i became because of all my social media consume, always on the lookout for dopamine hits, while completely ignoring the small mindful moments, so this book will be quiet. it will be about those moments, the quiet and humane moments, but dont worry there will be plenty of action aswell.
I know I'll never reach the full potential this story could have, but I still hope it lingers in your mind long after you've read it.
That being said, this story is just something quite personal to me, it's nowhere near the level of masterpieces like The Author's POV. Entrail's ability to build such a rich world with incredible action and depth is on a whole other level, and I have nothing but admiration for his work. I just wanted to take a moment to appreciate the first Webnovel that really stuck to me haha.
Regardless! I'll shut up (for now). But you'll see me at the end of each chapter, like an unexpected plot twist. >:)
Enjoy this trainwreck of a story!
