The wagon slowly halted, and the two-legged bird creature squawked as if it didn't like the aroma in the air. The bird-like creature was restless jerking and seeming upset, it stomped its talons on the ground trying to get away from the smell and kicking up dust. Felix yelled pulling on the reins trying to control the creature, "Woah! Woah!"
Jaymir didn't know what was going on, but he knew something was wrong, he looked around trying to figure out what was causing stress to the creature. As he looked around, he couldn't find anything then a small aroma filled his nostrils, it wasn't powerful, but it made him dizzy. He held his nose and with quick precision, he gathered anything in the wagon. Felix looked at him while still fighting against the bird-like creature trying to keep it calm.
"What are you doing, Jaymir?" he asked while struggling with the creature. Jaymir looked at the bottles and quickly asked while making a mask out of used clothing, Felix had in the back of the wagon, "Quickly tell me what bottle contains a healing liquid!"
Felix didn't ask any questions, Jaymir had a plan, and he went with it and quickly replied, look for the long bottle with green liquid in it, it is the most effective one." Jaymir grabbed the bottle and poured it on the clothes. He came back in the front of the wagon and handed a damped cloth to Felix.
"Cover your mouth and nose, quickly, I don't know what it is, but it slightly burned my nose." He then covered his mouth and nose with a damp cloth. With quickness, he jumped off the wagon and tried to calm the creature down by grabbing the reins around the creature shushing it, and saying, "Woah! Woah there buddy!"
The bird-like creature tried to claw and peak at Jaymir, but it was so much in pain and distress it missed him by itches. The creature was so much in distress it fell on the ground crying a plea, for help it looked at Jaymir and the expression on the beast was of a look saying, "Help me, it hurts!" Jaymir caressed it, as he put a damp cloth around its beak and he said with a calm voice and hugging it, "Breathe, just breathe. I promise it will help."
The bird-like creature did what Jaymir said and slowly breathed in the fumes that were in the cloth. The creature looked at Jaymir with tears in its eyes and it struggled up with him giving him thanks for helping it. Felix looked with awe at Jaymir before saying, "how in the world did you know that would work?"
Jaymir sighed in relief and smiled at the creature before shaking his head, "I didn't know, I just had to try something. I couldn't stand by and let this creature be in pain." Felix was starstruck, "you did that by pure luck? wow."
Jaymir's eyes darted around his expression changing into rage. Jaymir found himself outside a town he told Felix and his animal companion, "You guys pass this town I am staying here." Felix's eyes widened as he asked, "You sure?" Jaymir nods still glaring into the entrance of the town, "Yeah something is off, something eerie." Felix went to the back of the wagon and prepared Jaymir something, after saying, "If you assist, but hold on."
Felix grabbed small veils of bottles and a book that only Jaymir could make out was volume one. The veils of bottles had green and red liquid in them, and he put them on a belt. He came from the back of the wagon with what he made for Jaymir. he said while handing him the belt, "The green ones are powerful healing potions, the red ones are minor ones." Felix then handed him the book and continued, "This is a book of alchemy in common language, you should be able to read it."
Jaymir looked shocked as he was surprised by the gift from Felix he asked, "You sure, Felix?" Felix nodded and said in concern, 'Yes, just please be careful, okay? You're a rare find; I don't want humans to be a myth anymore."
Jaymir smiles as he says, "I will and I tried to bring the human race back to your world, maybe." ending his sentence with a giggle. Felix climbed back on his wagon and let out a yell while snaping the reins, "hah!" the bird-like creature continued on his way pulling Felix and his wagon, leaving Jaymir at the entrance of this town.
