Chapter 5 - Fought like a tigress

Leia's POV:

I rose to my feet when Ronan's arrival was suddenly announced. My eyes darted toward the grand mahogany door, and finally, a tall and well-built guy walked in. There was a deep scar running through his left eye, making me realize how many battles he had led so far. Some must have been the deadliest.

The moment my eyes met Ronan's, I felt something strange. They were devoid of any emotions. They lacked any warmth.

'Seems like he's worse than Lucien,' I thought.

"Brother Ronan, seems like you have won your 21st battle too," said Kieran as he walked to him and hugged him.

I noticed that Ronan didn't hug him back. But I did feel Kieran whisper something in his ear.

"Who's this woman?" Ronan asked as Kieran stepped away.

"I am Leia Solayne. Lucien bought me from the auction house," I gave my introduction. "I got to learn from Kieran about the intentions of you three."

"So, the rumors of the last she-wolf weren't just mere gossip," Ronan pronounced and took a step closer to me. "Our intentions are simple. We want pure-blooded pups," he said.

Ronan kept looking into my eyes, but he didn't say anything to me. Instead, he turned away and took a seat on the couch.

"Where's Lucien?" Ronan inquired as he sat on the couch.

I knitted my brows together, unable to understand what Ronan exactly was. He was cold, no doubt, but he was different from Lucien.

I saw how he drank the water while not looking at me anymore.

"You can sit on the couch," Kieran told me.

"Hmm." I passed him a small smile. As I was about to sit, Ronan stopped me.

"Omega, you are a slave for us. You can't sit at the same level as us. Go to your room and prepare for tonight. I am the first one who will have you," Ronan pronounced with authority.

I chuckled at his words. "You are mistaken, Ronan. I am not doing what your brother has bought me for," I said and turned on my heels to go upstairs.

I was startled to see Ronan in front of me. His hand moved to the back of my head as he bore his gaze into mine.

"Ronan, don't hurt Leia," I heard Kieran warning him.

"I will come to you tonight," Ronan repeated those words, making sure I would feed them into my mind. But he underestimated me. I clenched my fists hard but couldn't utter the words that were on the tip of my tongue.

He let go of his grip from my head while I went upstairs.

I closed the door and leaned against it. "Ronan and Lucien are somewhat similar," I murmured and went to the bed. A fear crept through me. My heart was thundering against my chest. Ronan didn't understand my consent was important too.

Tears escaped from my eyes, but I quickly wiped them, not wanting to feel weak. But they kept pouring down my cheeks. I had begun missing the freedom I lost.

'Don't cry, Leia,' finally, my wolf, Zei, spoke.

'Zei, how are you feeling?' I asked.

'Much better. The wolfsbane had weakened me,' Zei replied. 'The three brothers want you to breed for them. Let's run away. We can try for it.'

I realized it was the only way to be away from these brothers. While Kieran was trying to protect me, he had no power over his older brothers. I couldn't fight Lucien and Ronan when it came to their strength. Making them understand seemed almost impossible.

I got down from the bed and locked the door from the inside. This room didn't have any balcony, so I opened the window and looked out of it.

'We can jump,' I told Zei.

'Yes.' My wolf immediately agreed. I climbed to the other side of the window before taking a jump. I transformed in the air into my wolf form and landed on the ground easily.

My wolf had white, snowy fur and gleaming golden eyes. I ran in the opposite direction of the mansion, only to find a vast field. I needed to make sure no one would see me, or else my escape plan might fail.

After running for more than thirty minutes, I finally entered the forest and took a moment to breathe. Even though the wolfsbane had left my system, Zei hadn't fully recovered yet. Again, my wolf caught speed, but my eyes suddenly started shutting.

'Zei, what's happening?' I asked my wolf as I slumped to the ground.

'I can't keep up, Leia. I think...' Before Zei could finish, I transformed back into my human form, completely naked. My throat parched from sudden thirst.

"Did Lucien give me a drug?" I murmured and tried moving. I had to shift back, but I couldn't do it.

"Your body hasn't recovered fully, Leia." I paled upon hearing Lucien's voice. I felt him moving closer.

"Don't look at me," I tilted my head and saw amusement dancing on his face. "Please," I urged this time. I didn't know why, but suddenly, my eyes had turned misty.

Lucien took off his long overcoat and draped it over me before picking me up from the ground. My eyes met his in anger. "It's all because of you. I don't want to be a breeder. Tell me, if you had a sister and someone did this to her, would you even like it?"

Lucien simply stared at me before I saw his lips parting. "I thought you were intriguing, Leia. You fought like a tigress earlier. I thought you would play a better game than this. Don't give me scenarios that aren't even real. As the last she-wolf, you should be ready to serve us," he said.

"I hate you. I hate you the most," I shouted with my remaining strength and even hit his chest. "I will not bend down and let you have me. You will regret buying me."

"I think you'll regret saying these words," Lucien said and began walking, looking straight. I, too, averted my gaze from him.
