Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Novices Dissuade Monsters

"Well, I didn't expect that there would be such research data in the prison of Giant Glory Company."

Ethan Lawson hovered in the air and waved his arm.

The Sky Island changed for a while, finally turning into an ancient arena.

His divine power was rapidly consumed.

Although this is just an illusion, it is also a real illusion.

A ray of light fell from his hand and transformed into a huge monster in the arena.

Roar -

The humanoid monster with sharp fangs roared at Ethan in the sky.

This monster is as tall as two adults and has abnormally large muscles.

It is called "Berserker."

Ethan flipped through the prison's data files and fell into deep thought.

All the changes happened five hundred years ago, in that shocking catastrophe.

It seemed that all of a sudden, countless monsters crawled out from the ground, and humans were defeated.

In order to survive, people could only huddle together for warmth and squeeze into a corner of the continent to survive.

Their technological level grew abnormally rapidly during the most difficult period.

"It seems that this world has many secrets," Ethan looked at the monster berserker below, "Let's explore it later. Let's finish this first."

He used his divine power to write a few big words: Novice Mission.

No matter what Ethan wants to do, the first task is to gather a team of good players.

To select good players from the less serious players, the easiest way is to release a novice to dissuade the monster.

"Let's catch a player first and try it," Ethan's eyes were projected to the cyberpunk world, with a little resentment, "Anchor, I am your loyal fan. The meat floss cakes you sell made my neighbor's dog vomit."

He grabbed it lightly.

[Please complete the novice mission first]

The man sniffed.

He said to the direction of the live camera: "Novice mission, ah, this is a routine. I believe that all the audience friends have played it. Basically, it's some walking to the left, walking to the right, jumping, drilling a hole, and shooting a few shots."

The man was very confident: "I don't think I need to do the novice mission at all."

He clicked for a long time but couldn't find the button to skip the novice mission.

"Okay, very good." The man nodded and pressed the button to confirm the task.

The man turned into a light spot and disappeared on the spot.

...

The ancient arena is a huge ring.

All around it are hard light yellow rock walls, and there are empty audience seats on the rock walls.

"The scenery here is pretty good. Which ancient ruins did the producer take the scene from?"

The man said leisurely, and suddenly heard a shocking roar.

His heart skipped a beat as he looked forward.

A pair of huge feet, legs thicker than old trees.

He slowly raised his head and saw a muscular body, ferocious fangs, and a pair of small eyes full of resentment.

[Novice Task: Escape from the Arena]

[Health: 5]

[Number of Challenges: Unlimited]

"What?"

Roar -

The Berserker's heavy fist brought a gust of wind that made the skin sting, and hit the man's head.

At that moment, the man felt that his skull was deformed.

Snap.

The man turned into a light spot and dissipated.

[???]

[The anchor was killed in one second]

[Didn't they say it was a novice mission?]

[Does anyone want the anchor's emoticon pack just now? Contact me via private message]

[This punch was awesome, anchor, do it again]

The comments in the live broadcast room exploded.

"I was killed in one second? No," the man chose to reload, "I was careless, I didn't dodge."

The ancient arena.

The man's voice became passionate: "Dear audience, it seems that we have encountered a monster that discourages novices. However, this is not a problem for me."

He stood at the edge of the arena and looked at the huge monster in the center that was staring at him.

[Berserker]

[A mere novice cannot confront it head-on]

"The mission is to escape from the arena," the man ran, "At the moment, the most important thing is to avoid the attack of this berserker. In fact, this is not difficult."

He had only run 20 meters when he felt weak all over.

What happened? Why was this body in the game so weak?

[Anchor!]

[Anchor, be careful]

Hmm?

The man turned his head.

The Berserker ran at full speed, and the huge shadow of death filled his pupils.

"Wow."

Bang!

The man turned into a meat pie stuck to the wall of the arena, and then turned into a light spot and dissipated.

The comments in the live broadcast room were full of laughter.

[Not difficult]

[This is not difficult]

[Anchor: Ah, this, I can't beat it, I can't beat it, I'm going to end the broadcast]

[Anchor, hold on a little longer, let me collect the emoji package set]

[Set? What set?]

Pure white space.

The man didn't click reload immediately but thought about what had just happened.

The body in the game was just as weak as his body in reality, and he got tired after running a few steps.

To escape the arena and complete the novice mission, he could only find a shortcut in the limited world or simply exploit the loopholes in the game design.

He clicked reload.

"Family, I'm back again." As soon as the man appeared, he looked around.

The smooth rock wall and the empty ground of the arena were actually a dead end.

"The producer is not a human being," he saw the Berserker turn around, "at least give a newbie tip."

Ethan, who was far away on the Sky Island, tapped with his finger.

A big green arrow appeared at the exit of the arena.

Roar -

The Berserker looked up at the sky and let out a deafening roar.

Although he knew it was in the game, the man's palms still secreted sweat and his heartbeat quickened.

It was just like the real thing.

It's coming, it's running, this monster is running!

Within a few feet, the man rolled to the right and avoided the Berserker's brutal collision.

The strong wind raged, and the hard rock wall was unscathed.

Unfortunately, the Berserker was not injured either.

[Health: 4]

"What's wrong with this body? It will be so weak that blood will be deducted if it makes a non-standard tactical move?"

The man held his waist.

His waist was sprained, of course, in the game.

The Berserker turned around.

"Hey, buddy," he tried to reason with the Berserker, "This is a novice mission, can you give it some slack? For example, pretend to be nearsighted or something?"

The Berserker grabbed his neck and lifted him up.

"I... cough cough... this is... too real... I'm suffocating," his face flushed, "What is this... a devil's execution animation."

The Berserker opened his mouth towards the man's head.

This scene was like a series of exploding chicken fillets, chicken flavor, crunchy.

Crunch.

[GG]

[Not bad, the host's new set of emoticons is complete]

[The sound sounds pretty good]

[Prion warning]

[Mosaic is all blocked, this is not good]

[Damn mosaic]

...

"Ha, ha," the man sat up from the game cabin, "It's too real, my god, I really thought I was being bitten by a monster."

His forehead was covered with sweat, and so was his back.

The sweat soaked his short-sleeved shirt.

"Dear audience friends, let me take a break," he rocked the gaming chair, sat on it, and took a deep breath, "I'm still alive, it's great. The realism is too high, that's the only bad thing."

[Stop, anchor]

[I want to see the anchor explode]

Various fierce comments quickly passed through the live broadcast room.

At the same time, keywords such as "cyber psychosis," "anchor explosion," "smoker: this is not difficult," "100% real game," "make history," etc., are becoming more and more popular on the Internet.
