Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Death and New Life 0 words Chapter 1: Death and New Life

The icy winds of Ulaanbaatar slipped through the cracks of the window, dimming the apartment lights as though the cold itself wished to smother the world in silence. Javkhlan, a thirty-three-year-old man, had lived a life that was all too ordinary. Yet within him, a silent void had grown deeper with every passing year. The fantasies of his youth—tales of magic, dragons, ancient heroes—had long been buried beneath the weight of reality. The light of childhood dreams had faded into embers, lost among daily routines and forgotten hopes. One winter night, while walking home through the frost-bitten streets, fate took its cruel turn. A pair of headlights tore through the darkness. A screech. A flash of white. Then silence. His last thought before darkness consumed him was laced with regret: "Am I dying... without ever having done anything meaningful?" But death was not the end. It was the beginning. When he opened his eyes again, it was not to life—but to a void. From the darkness emerged a powerful figure, draped in a gray cloak, with long white hair and eyes like galaxies. Its voice echoed through the very fibers of his soul: — "Though your time in that world has ended, your destiny has not. I offer you a choice: be reborn—or fade into the void." Javkhlan, his voice trembling, asked: — "Will it be different this time? I want to be strong. Just once… to be more than what I was." The being smiled, as if it had been waiting for those very words. — "Then I shall grant you a rare gift—one never before bestowed. A power that can change everything. I give you… the Copy System." Light exploded within him. His body turned weightless, his consciousness unmoored. Then all went white. ... A gust of wind brushed his face. He awoke in a forest—foreign, ancient, and alive with energy. But his body… was not his own. He was a child now, fragile and unfamiliar. Every movement felt like it came from someone else's muscles. Yet within that weakness stirred something ancient, something powerful. His new name—was Ein. Before he could even learn to speak it, the village children mocked him, threw stones, whispered cruel things behind his back. — "He's strange…" — "Looks weak, though." But Ein knew. Deep within him, a fire had been lit. A voice echoed in his soul: "One day, I will change everything." In this world of monsters, magic, dungeons, and warriors… power meant everything. And soon, the sleeping force within him—the Copy System—would awaken, setting him on the path to becoming the most feared and revered king this world had ever known.
