Chapter 5 - CHAPTER FIVE

Ethan was at the bar with his two best friends telling them all that had happened.

"I can't believe that bitch could do that to you." Irene said sulking.

"Yeah, man. That's bad." Ryan said.

"I knew I never liked her." Irene said aa Ethan drank from his glass.

"There's no need to ponder about what lily did. I'm already married." He said as they were shocked.

"What?, When?" They both asked together.

"Close your mouth." Irene told Ryan as he rolled his eyes as Irene turned to Ethan.

"When did that happen?, How did you do it?, Who is the lady?" Irene asked rushing her questions.

"Which one should I answer first?" Ethan asked.

"All of them." She practically screamed as Ryan chuckled.

"On the same day I was supposed to get married to Lily and she's Sharon Moore." He said as Irene frowned.

"Wait, she's a Moore?" Irene asked as Ethan raised his brow.

"Why would you say it like that? Are history with the Moore's?" Ryan asked.

"Of course and lots of bad blood." She said.

"Care to elaborate?" Ethan asked looking from her to Ryan.

"Of course, I will." She said. You see I'm more like acquainted with her other two sisters. Shirley and Rose. She said.

"Ok, go on." Ethan said folding his arms.

"They are so despicable. Shirley is an actress and a model. She's rude and looks down on people. She's Lily's arch rival and I heard she's a whore. She sleeps her way out of everything, while Rose is a fashion designer. She owns her own clothing line and I'll admit she's good with what she does." She said looking at the two men. "Rumor has it that she has many sugar daddies and she sleeps with married men. She's rude and cunning. Don't even let me start with Madina." She paused. "Honestly bro, did you jump from frying pan to fire?" She asked.

"Well, that's a whole lot of family scandals." Ryan said.

"I've never liked Lily and I'm happy you didn't marry her but I honestly do not like your new woman either." Irene said.

"It is what it is." Ethan said.

"has Lily spoken to you yet?" Ryan asked.

"No, she hasn't." He said as Irene snorted.

"That wretched witch. Of course, she hasn't. She's too engrossed enjoying the game and money coming from being the girlfriend of the Ethan Lancaster. I can't wait for her to get the slap of reality when she finds out that your married." She said as Ryan snickered.

"I need a favor from you, Irene." Ethan said as she looked at him.

"Shoot." She said sipping her drink.

"I have my eyes on Sharon. She doesn't seem to have any friends. So I want you to be her friend. Keep her company and guide her to becoming a Lancaster." He said as she smiled and saluted him.

"Yes boss. I'll do as you've ordered." She said as Ryan cooed.

"Aren't you a loyal friend, my love?" he asked as she smiled lovingly at him.

"Aren't you a loyal husband?" she asked as they became lovey dovey.

Ethan sat there watching his friends become all loving towards each other. He was so busy with work that he didn't know when they became an item and before he could realize it, they were already planning their wedding and now they are happily married and so in love.

"Please can you two let the single breath? Don't suffocate us." He said as Irene laughed at him.

"The single should go get his wife or else he would be suffocated." Ryan said as Ethan scoffed taking his drink.

That was what he wanted. That's why he wanted to get married. Him and Lily had been dating for seven years and he wanted to take things forward but she wasn't ready.

I suppose Irene was right. She enjoyed the privileges from the Lancaster's too much.

As he watched his friends, he felt a wave of disappointed wash over him. He just wanted to love and give the love back but it seems it won't happen as he became angry.

"Go ahead and be all loving and leave me alone. Idiotic couples. You two deserve yourselves." He said leaving.

"Hey, come back." Irene said laughing.

"Why is he pained?" Ryan asked as she shrugged.

"Watcha making?" Maggie asked joining Sharon in the kitchen.

"I need to bake some stuffs for tomorrow. I won't be around." She said as Maggie nodded.

"Ok, let me help you." She said

"No, don't. You've done enough for this place since my mom died. I appreciate it." Sharon said

"I didn't do anything. Your mum would have done the same for me." Maggie said as Sharon smiled.

"Just close the door. I'll lock up." She said as Maggie nodded turning to leave before stopping.

"Um, Sharon. I know you just want to clear up your mind, so you don't have to hide it from me. I've got your back." She said leaving as Sharon sat on the floor crying.
