Agavon didn't have resources to waste on creating walls that isolated the Arid Chunks from the rest of Agavon, it seemed. No country on the Talon continent seemed to be rich enough to do so.
As far as the eye could see, great, metallic poles rose up to six meters from the ground, marking where the desert suddenly paled and met the river Rii – a prominent water body that ran from the Northern region of Agavon to the Souther-Eastern region. The river was considered toxic, and at vital points, it was isolated from known usable water bodies by the Bureau's efforts; it thrived regardless, however.
The great metallic poles thrummed with unseen electric energy. They would turn the average Fint User to dust if they got too close. All in all, they were an effective deterrent against travel to and from the Arid Chunks.
