Chapter 120 - Chapter 121

*BAM*

The sound of Kairos crashing out of the window of Orsen's workshop and into the street was heard by everyone. Kairos who hadn't expected Orsen to make a move was stupefied as his jaw was in insurmountable pain.

His right cheek was burning whereas he felt his entire world spinning round and round. Orsen held back so as not to instantly pop his head when he launched the attack. Kairos was bleeding profusely out of his nostrils as a crowd formed around him, wondering what had made him fall into such a state. They looked at the trajectory and soon realized that it was from Orsen's workshop.

They all knew about him. He could barely pull any customers due to the appearance of his workshop not to mention its horrible status. To think that Orsen was capable of putting a tier two in such a state was baffling. 'Wasn't he just a measly tier one? What happened in such a short duration so as to turn him into a beast?' Most of them thought however Orsen couldn't be bothered on Kairos state.

He stretched out his hand and in an instant, the window that was shattered was immediately repaired in an instant. The same happened to the rest of the workshop, instantly turning it into a decent place. He got rid of everything making it completely empty before renovating it to his taste.

Unlike earlier when the store looked as if it was run down, now it was decent with artificial lighting using candles and the decor was absolutely pleasant. It looked as if the store was a five star place, fit for a king in a span of a few seconds. He was able to fully fix some of the leaky roofs and the door as well. He also spruced up the appearance of the shop and make it stand out by putting up a label for his shop

"POTION SHOP" It read out loud and luckily for him, it was the only one present on the block so he wouldn't have to deal with competition. He decided to switch to alchemy and specialize in potion making rather than craftsmanship.

Something that was hard to make in this world was potions which required skills in alchemy. Not a lot of people could practice this as learning it was hard and time-consuming. It could be said that it was a skill that was reserved for the higher ups of society.

The front desk was loaded with bottles with staggering exorbitant prices. The cheapest one was 50 silver quartz while the highest went up to 1,000 platinum. Those displayed were up to ten vials with straightforward descriptions. The one that was 1,000 platinum claimed to resurrect a person and cure any illness, the problem…

It was way too high for the common folk to purchase. This was specifically for the top percent of society who could afford it. But of course with no credibility, there was no way he would sell any of these vials nor was he in any rush whatsoever to sell any of them. But he knew that he would be out most of the time thus he would need to have an assistant to help around with the place.

He wanted to recruit his sister but she already had an occupation which she loved doing and he didn't want to force her to do something that she didn't want to do. He would have to hire someone else. But as a safety precaution for his goods, a drop of blood fell onto the floor and a rune immediately casted itself, flashing momentarily before disappearing.

'A Cast Concept Rune. Anyone who uses mana will immediately be restrained down to become a mortal. After that, should they harbor any ill intentions, they will be exposed to a horrifying pressure. Any intentions such as murder will be directly reciprocated back to them killing them on the spot.'

Orsen sighed as he took out a chair and made himself comfortable. It couldn't be undone and any attempts would result in immediate death.

The vials displayed had different functions, those on the low end described that it could heal any injury in an instant on the physical scale, others said that it was mana while others was a combination of both as it got more and more pricey.

While those higher stated that they could cover even more blemishes and their recovery rate was higher with the highest claiming that it could resurrect the dead and cure any ailments that they had.

Behind him, there was one more vial that had a colorless look to it. Its description was that it could grant immortality! It certainly was an audacious claim and its price, it was purely up to chance.

It said. "Guess what I am!" The purpose of him having it there was

He waited for customers to come but the day slowly wasted away with no customers in sight. He decide to close up shop and made his way first towards the market to buy some supplies. With the amount of money that he had, it wasn't a problem and soon after, he made his way home.

Unlike earlier when he didn't meet anyone, this time he found his older sister already preparing supper. She was a tier two on the third array. Even though she was deeply engrossed in her cooking, she was able to sense Orsen coming in. She immediately stopped what she was doing and appeared right in front of him.

"Where have you been?! I haven't seen you in two days?!" Her voiced echoed as her arms wrapped around her younger brother. "I was out travelling, Reya." He lazily came up with an excuse. Looking at her, she had a lot of features similar to Orsen. The two had a deep hazelnut color hair, black eyes and medium builds. Reya was attractive facial wise but asset wise, she wasn't

"What do you mean travelling? So did you even consider the fact that I would be worried sick about-"

Before she could continue with her statement, looking at her younger brother, she could tell that something was off about him. He wasn't as energetic as he usually was not to mention she could feel a strange and foreign air around him.

She immediately backed away from him and reached towards for her sword which wasn't far from her, aiming it at Orsen. He observed her as if a chicken, trying to scurry for safety in the presence of a wolf. Her demeanor reeked of fear and shock as she looked at him.

He could have masked himself so as to make sure that she wouldn't suspect her that he wasn't her brother that was simply a game that he had played all too often. "Who are you?!" She asked with her eyes locked onto Orsen.

"Who I am shouldn't be the things that you should be worried about. I already know that you want to know about your brother but he's already dead and I'm taking his identity. If I told you that I didn't kill him, you wouldn't believe me and think of me of a demon but that isn't so."

He said calmly as he observed the blade pointed towards him. He wasn't shocked or bothered and understood why she would do so. "Do you think because you said that you didn't kill him will make me believe you that you didn't kill him!"

Orsen knew that trying talking to her would be a waste of time so he took a more extreme approach. "Can you stop waving that thing in front of me if you don't want to die?" She sensed his tier and concluded that it was still the first tier.

*CRACK*

Her beloved sword that had accompanied her for a good while was immediately shattered into numerous fragments falling into the ground leaving her with only the hilt intact. She backed further and further away from Orsen who seemed to get closer and closer to her.

Forced into a corner, she had to fight her way out of here. Infusing mana into her punch before directing it towards Orsen who happened to catch it with his bare hand but…

A soft crack was heard. It was no doubt that his right hand was fractured but there wasn't a change in his expression as it was able to remain stoic regardless. She was taken aback, thinking that he had a spell that severed his sensory nerves so as to avoid the pain.

A piece of his ulna stuck out of his arm which he forced it back in and in an instant, the injury was healed. "The reason as to why you're still alive Reya is because Orsen favored you thus I will do the same. But push your limits and you'll be shocked to how fast you'll die."

He said as he went over to the kitchen as he grabbed a knife. She thought that he would kill her with that but he helped in finishing the rest of the onions she had left to chop. "I'll be gone by tomorrow." He said as he continued on finishing on preparing supper.

As the two dug in their meal, there was an awkward atmosphere lingering between the two. Orsen ate without a care in the world while Reya was quite tense. He finished his meal right after and put both of their plates away before the two were locked in a conversation Orsen started off.

"What are the requirements for one to become an adventurer?" He asked as he gulped down a glass of water. Reya was on tenterhooks before responding. "You need a minimum qualification of a tier two. Also some experience in the field as well." She said as she thought about him joining the guild that she was on.

He fell into contemplation before speaking. "Here, a gift for letting me staying the night." He then proceeded to gift her a small vial which had a deep purple color. He put it on the table before going to bed.

Reya looked at the vial before taking it. Looking at it, she knew what it was but hesitated on drinking it. 'If he wanted me dead, he could have just killed me by now.' She thought before taking a risk. In one gulp, she drank the entire vial down and soon after, she felt her world slowly churn, losing her balance before losing consciousness.

As she woke up, she found herself in her own bed. Going to the living room, she was greeted by a fully well-made breakfast waiting for her. "You're finally awake and in tier three, commendable." He said flatly as he saw her.

It was then that she realized what he had just said. She was tier three! 'But how!' She thought but recalling the happenings of last night and how she fell unconscious. Looking at Orsen who was carefree and patiently seated.

She was bewildered on how such a potion could have such staggering effects. It had never been documented of such groundbreaking feat. This further made her more interested on his capabilities. She quickly finished her breakfast and readied herself and the two set off to an adventurer's guild.

The two made their way and shortly after, they but there was a slight problem. A couple of goons had been sent over by Kairos to ruffle Orsen's feathers but they were quickly dispatched o9f and the two got in.

After a couple of assessments later, Orsen was given his identity card, identifying him as an adventurer though the disparity in ranks was apparent. In the guild, there were different ranks. He just so happened to get the lowest rank possible. Despite him being rank two, he was still on the first array. But for him, the tier was only for superficial purposes which didn't affect him in the slightest. As for her sister, she got an increase in the rank position due to the increase of her tier.

The lowest adventurer was a tier two on the first array while the highest was tier five. His name was known throughout the entire kingdom as the most heroic and noble adventurer. He had been acquainted with a lot of nobles in the process and his fame skyrocketed not only in this kingdom but also the surrounding kingdoms as well. His name was was known as Sir Joseph.
