Suddenly, a thought flashed through Nova's mind as he was thinking about Morlun's threat. Immediately, he turned to Gwen and said, "Make a wish!"
Gwen raised her eyebrows. "About what?"
Before Nova could respond, Harry, Peter, and Ned all simultaneously shouted, "You told them about it?!"
Felicia smirked. "About the fact that Nova is a perverted genie?"
Harry smirked. "Oh, Nova! What am I hearing? You're playing the perverted genie again?"
Nova groaned, rubbing his temples. "Not this again…"
Ignoring the teasing, Gwen narrowed her eyes at Nova. "Why bring this up now?"
Nova's expression turned serious. "Because Morlun isn't truly gone. From what I've gathered—and based on his own threats—we can assume he can revive. And when he does, he won't just be after us. He'll come for every Spider-themed hero… and me, since I'm the one who took him down."
The humor in the air vanished instantly.
Betty's eyes widened. "Wait—Morlun can revive? How?"
"Yeah," Ned added, shifting uneasily. "Didn't you guys kill him?"
"We thought so," MJ muttered. "But apparently, he's got a way to come back."
"That's just great," Michelle sighed, crossing her arms. "So, not only do we have a monster-level stalker, but now he's immortal too?" She turned to Nova. "And now you're saying you can grant wishes to fix it?"
Felicia smirked. "Oh, please. If Nova can conjure up a twelve-inch vibrating dil*o on command, I doubt memory-wiping some vampire freak is a problem."
The group collectively froze.
Peter Parker coughed violently. "What the hell?!"
Ned turned red and looked away. "Oh my god…"
Spider-Man's mask twitched as he visibly cringed. "I did not need that mental image, thanks."
Harry blinked, then slowly turned to Nova, his expression a mix of amusement and sheer disbelief. " I knew it —you, Gwen, MJ, and Felicia had what I can only assume was a filthy, no-holes-barred, absolute fucking marathon, and wished all the mess away and cleaned up like you all visited professional stylists?"
Liz let out a low whistle, crossing her arms. "No showers, no towels—just one little wish, and suddenly it's like nobody got absolutely wrecked for hours? I also want this convenience."
Michelle groaned. "So we're just casually accepting magical cum disposal as a thing now?"
Betty covered her mouth, mock-scandalized. "That has to be the dirtiest yet most convenient use of wish magic I've ever heard."
MJ smirked, pressing closer to Gwen. "Hey, don't knock it. One second, you're leaking from places you didn't even know could leak, and the next—poof—good as new."
Felicia let out a husky laugh, tossing her hair back. "Honestly, the real tragedy is that I barely got to enjoy that well-fucked, used-up, can't-even-walk-right feeling before Gwen decided to play housemaid and scrub all the fun away with magic."
Peter Parker made a strangled noise. "I—WHY—STOP TALKING."
Ned screeched, eyes wide in pure horror. "NO. NOPE. ERASE THAT SENTENCE FROM EXISTENCE."*
Spider-Man slumped against a crate, groaning. "I did not cross dimensions for this level of emotional damage."
Harry just laughed, shaking his head. "You know what? I can't even be mad. Nova's literally the only reason the phrase 'sexually transmitted cleanliness' exists now."
Gwen groaned, burying her face in her hands. "Can we please talk about Morlun instead of how effective our post-fuck cleanup was?"
MJ arched an eyebrow. "Why? Feeling guilty?"
Gwen hesitated, cheeks reddening. "I am not answering that."
Felicia smirked. "That's a yes"
Nova sighed, rubbing his temples. "I hate my life."
"No, you don't," MJ teased, winking. "And if we played again, I know you wouldn't turn us down."
Nova gritted his teeth. "I regret everything."
Felicia purred. "Oh, baby, you regretted nothing last night."
Nova's eye twitched. "Moving on, the best move right now is to make Morlun forget who we are. If he doesn't remember our identities, he won't know where to find us when he comes back."
Gwen frowned. "You mean erasing his memories?"
"Yes" Nova clarified. " He will not remember anything about the the fight—our names, faces, our powers, how we defeated or which timeline we belong to. He won't remember anything."
"That could actually work," MJ admitted. "If he doesn't know who to come after, we at least have time to prepare before he figures it out."
Gwen exhaled, then nodded. "Alright. I wish for Morlun to forget everything about today's fight and our and spiderman's timelines."
The moment she spoke the words, Nova's system sent an urgent warning flashing through his mind.
Warning: Fulfilling this wish as stated will result in the user falling into a coma.
Nova's stomach sank. Damn it… That's not happening.
"Wait," he said abruptly. "I need to tweak the wish."
Gwen frowned. "Why?"
"Because if I grant it exactly as you said, I'll pass out for who-knows-how-long. And I really don't feel like testing how long 'coma' means."
A wave of concern spread through the group.
"So, what's the adjustment?" Harry asked, his smirk gone.
Nova took a deep breath. "Morlun will forget our identities and which timeline we come from—but he'll still remember the battle. He'll remember fighting us and that I killed him, but he won't recall our faces or who we truly are. He'll know that someone with my power defeated him, but he won't be able to connect it to me specifically. And most importantly, he won't be able to track us down."
Gwen exchanged looks with MJ and Spiderman before nodding. "That works. Do it."
Nova exhaled, then activated his power.
A shimmering, unseen force pulsed outward, stretching through reality itself. The rooftop seemed to ripple for a moment before settling back to normal.
"It's done," Nova said after a beat. "Morlun will remember the battle and that I exist, but he won't know who we are or where to find us."
Betty let out a breath of relief. "That's… actually kind of scary."
Felicia grinned. "Admit it, Perverted genies power is convenient and overpowered."
Nova rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah. Let's just hope this buys us enough time."
Gwen flexed her fingers, determination in her eyes. "Then let's make sure we're ready if he does come back."
Nova nodded. "Agreed."
-----
Late at night, Nova sat slumped in the chair of his dimly lit room, absentmindedly tracing the spot on his chest where Morlun's crushing blow had landed. His body still ached, the lingering pain serving as a stark reminder of how close he'd come to death.
There was a world of difference between watching battles and actually fighting in one. All those fics that glorified main characters effortlessly taking down overpowered enemies in their first fight? Complete nonsense. Reality hit much harder — both literally and figuratively. No matter how powerful someone was, without experience and control over their strength, even a weaker opponent could defeat them with the right strategy.
And in this case, Morlun hadn't been the weaker one.
Objectively, Nova could admit it. Morlun had him beat in raw physical strength. Even in his Four Arms: Human Fusion Mode, Morlun was easily twice as strong. The comparison was laughable — like a level 100 end-boss roaming around a beginner's village, gleefully stomping on the unsuspecting newbies. And Nova? He was the poor bastard without a respawn point.
Seriously, who's the GM of Marvel?Stan Lee? The One Above All? Eternity? Death? Maybe the Beyonder?
Someone give him their address. He would like to file a formal complaint against this cheating bastard.
The humor was weak, a flimsy mask over his frustration. Because at the end of the day, the blame lay squarely on him. He had underestimated his opponent. Using his fusion form instead of transforming into a full-on alien had been a mistake — a big one. Maybe he'd wanted to keep a human edge in the fight or simply prove something to himself. But that decision had nearly cost him his life.
If not for the Omnitrix's failsafe kicking in at the last moment, activating an emergency reversion and stabilizing his body, he wouldn't even be sitting here, brooding in the aftermath. Dead. Gone. Just like that.
He grimaced, flexing his sore limbs. In hindsight, even if he had gone full Four Arms, Morlun still would have been stronger by about 10 to 20%. But that gap? It wasn't insurmountable. With the right strategy, better experience, and sharper instincts, he could have avoided most of the damage. Strength alone didn't dictate the victor.
Nova exhaled slowly, rubbing his temples. It was all a learning experience. Painful, yes, but necessary. Next time, he wouldn't hesitate. Next time, he'd know better.
Shaking his head, Nova turned the dial of his Omnitrix and rotated it. Seeing Feedback hologram, Nova smiled. At least something good came out of that fight.
Feedback was one of the most versatile aliens in the Omnitrix. The ability to absorb, store, and redirect energy made him a force to be reckoned with. Not to mention the enhanced reflexes and agility that came with the form. Against an energy-based opponent, Feedback was practically unstoppable.
Then Nova shook his head and opened his system screen and checked on the notification that appeared mid battle.
Slowly, Nova raised his eyebrows as a smile crept across his face. The notification was clear — since Feedback couldn't absorb all of Morlun's immense life force and failed to release it, the system had stepped in, absorbing and storing the excess energy.
Now, that vast reservoir of life force belonged to Nova, ready for his use.
The realization settled in, and his smile widened into a smirk. Then, without restraint, it grew into laughter — raw, unrestrained laughter that echoed through the room.
This thing will solve his transformation time period problem.
