Lyla remained silent. What was he expecting? For her to thank him? An applause? Perhaps a cookie or not cheating on her and being with another woman. She scoffed silently. The silence between them was so uncomfortable and tense.
Then she heard his footsteps moving towards the bed slowly and deliberately. She couldn't help but tense when he got closer to the bed. The air became heavy and she found it difficult to breathe. His fingers brushed against her cheeks and she flinched instinctively,her stomach twisting with disgust. His touch didn't feel warm; it only disgusted her. There wasn't any spark when he touched her only discomfort.
Don't touch me. I don't want you to touch me, she repeated in her head. Leave me alone.
