The once joyful evening was now filled with chaos.
Everything happened so fast that Isla barely had time to react. The first thing she heard was a shrill howl followed by the sharp twang of an arrow slicing through the air. Then screams filled the pack. Loud and pain filled screams echoing across the lands of the pack.
"What's going on?" She whispered to herself. Her body reacted quickly and looked for a place to hide. She crawled on all fours trying to be as small as possible away from the execution ground. It was difficult to move as her hands were still shackled and her legs bruised. Thick and suffocating smoke filled the air.
They were rogues. She didn't know if she should be grateful that they came at that time or worried that the pack was being attacked.
