Zade leaned casually against his car,his arms crossed over his chest making his biceps bulge. He watched Isla who was frozen in her spots with amused eyes.
"You seem to be in such a hurry…what about that drink we talked about?" He repeated, his voice as calm as the sea. His sharp gray eyes never left her face.
She stared at him like a deer caught in headlights,an awkward smile on her lips. Zade thought for a moment that she was going to bolt.
Zade has been watching her for the past few days and he needed to confirm something that he had noticed about her. She didn't seem like a normal werewolf. She smelled human but there was the faint lingering scent of a werewolf that clung to her.
He wondered if she shared a home with a werewolf or if she was involved with one.
He really had to know why a human carried the scent of a werewolf.
"I really forgot to let you know that I had to pick up my son after work" She finally said, her voice quiet but steady.
