Aurelia found herself inside the palace, a majestic golden crown on her head adorned by rubies and emeralds, It had been years since she had become a queen with the help of her beloved.
By the combined efforts of Cedric, his Angel army, and herself, Valar had been converted to Christianity.
With the mission assigned by God completed, the demons were all either enslaved or dead.
A mission that Aurelia rejoiced once it was completed.
One would ask why she rejoiced so much; well, the mission was complete, and Cedric had no reason to reject her advances.
While some human kingdoms still believed in false gods, God's followers were the vast majority.
Cedric had just recently returned, his crusade against Chrunus resulting in the death of the false god, the corpse of old faith festering, resembling a mountain of black rock.
Ever since she had met the mighty warrior of Christ, she had truly known happiness that was foreign to her, foreign enough that she did not realise what it truly was before meeting Cedric.
"My lady, it is almost time," Ladios spoke softly. The Archangel guardians were promoted to the closest aides and advisors and rarely left her side.
While she was still weak, she did not feel powerless; after all, her beloved had protected her for years now.
She was led to one of the palace rooms, Guardian angels were lining the stone walls of the palace, acting as the guards, replacing former human guards that Cedric killed.
She made her way to the lavish room, formerly belonging to her father, however, it was her own room now.
Aurelia slipped out of her royal garments and stood on a small platform; in a moment, she was swarmed by maids.
They swarmed her, dressing her in a gorgeous crimson dress.
Aurelia spread her arms, letting maids fit the dress.
She needed to look her best today, it was a day she had hoped for so long.
Her final push to get Cedric to accept her as his wife had worked, and it was finally a day to cement it in the eyes of God.
"I can't believe he agreed to marry me!" Aurelia giggled as the maids worked on her dress.
She would be a queen and he would be her king, what a perfect day.
"God himself had blessed this union. I am sure it will last for eternity," Lucious spoke, the only advisor allowed inside royal chambers as she was a woman.
Despite Ladios being her closest advisor, it was inappropriate for a man to see her in a wedding dress other than her husband despite his position.
It took a couple moments more before maids finally finished fitting the dress.
They brought her a mirror, letting her admire the craftmanship. It was a traditional wedding dress of Valar, and yet it was rarely worn by nobility and royals; they, after all, preferred more gaudy outfits.
"Thank you. I think it's about time." She smiled as she raised her hand, a beautiful engagement ring adorning her finger.
She was escorted by Lucious and army of Maids outside, entire city was in festive mood. After all, their queen was getting married.
Entire Valar felt better, streets were even more crowded, and people were happier.
Travellers gathered from all human kingdoms.
She was not merely a queen of one kingdom, she was a figurehead, a symbol of Christianity itself in this world, a symbol that even an infidel may turn to the light.
The procession was grand, everyone had the opportunity to see their queen, even those who once called her a Princess of Fools, now bowed in respect.
How could they not? her rule had led Valar into a golden age never seen before in the history of humanity.
"And it's all thanks to him..." She blushed slightly; at the beginning, it was merely lust that propelled her, but now it was love, pure as fresh snow.
The very stone of Valar seemed to shine with holy light, the atmosphere was a wonder to behold.
Cheers could be heard all around her, loud enough to deafen someone who was too close. And yet she did not care.
With a wave, Aurelia continued, she was led to a grand cathedral, built by an army of Angels on Cedric's instruction.
It easily surpassed the size of the palace, and the sheer detail made it look more like a work of God than anything that was possible to be created by human hands.
The stained glass giving the cathedral an ethereal look.
The grand double doors opened before her. A large marble floor was covered by a red carpet, leading towards an altar.
The path was lined by Guardians and Archangels alike.
Many seats on the sides were taken by many important people of Valar, and most trusted friends and allies were invited to be witnesses.
2 People stood by the Altar. an older woman who was made a cardinal of the new church waited with an open book in hand.
A woman Aurelia knew as Anna was one of her most trusted friends and the first ever Christian besides Aurelia and Cedric.
In front of the altar stood an imposing man, his blue outfit contrasting with her crimson wedding dress.
His green piercing eyes were staring right at her, his short brown hair styled and slicked back.
He looked at her with love, love she had rejoiced in with every waking moment.
She had not seen him without armor and his blade before, but now he had finally relaxed and gave her the honor of seeing his form without the God's Mission forcing him to be ready for battle.
She blushed as she slowly walked towards her husband; rows of Guardians threw flower petals before her.
After what seemed to be an eternity, she approached the altar and stood before her beloved.
Cedric grabbed her hands gently, his gaze loving and gentle before retrieving a beautiful sapphire ring. He gently slid it on her finger before continuing to gaze into her eyes.
"Do you agree to be forevermore bound to each other as witnessed by God, be it in illness or death?" Anna spoke, her voice echoing.
Aurelia couldn't help but sheepishly smile. "Yes!"
Cedric followed after her with his own confirmation. "Yes."
"You may kiss the bride." Anna smiled warmly as she finished the ceremony.
Cedric leaned towards her, and yet just as she was about to be kissed by her beloved, a massive weight in her chest formed, a weight that felt like she was crushed by a mountain.
***
Aurelia gasped for air as she rose from her bed, sweat dripping from her.
She looked around, finding herself in a familiar room, a room belonging to the king.
She looked at her hands, no ring could be found.
She was still in her armor, ruined from battle. The last thing she remembered was that Cedric used a skill on her, and after intense pain, everything went dark.
"That... was a dream." She spoke with sadness, and yet she was not sad for long.
'No, that was a prophecy! I will make it a reality.' She swore, even her dreams started to resemble a life she would have with her beloved.
'I so wanted it to be real, though...' She blushed slightly.
She groaned as she punched the air in frustration, an act that sent a burst of air with such intensity that it broke the palace wall.
"WHAT?!" Aurelia looked at her fists as she fell onto her rear, clearly shocked by the immense strength she just displayed.
