Now Jae Won finally answered even though Vincent did him a favor but Gloria acted like a deaf person ignoring him. "Jae Won is my name". Jae Won passed by Gloria and went straight to the couch in the living room. "How about you come sit by my side" Jae Won suggested pointing his hand on his side by the couch.
Gloria took this welcome opportunity without even blinking for a second and she was already seated close to Jae Won. Vincent on the other hand has anger taking control over him with his veins almost popping out.
Gloria and Vincent talked for almost two hours with Vincent walking up and down, here and there as if he had something important to do but he just wanted to listen in to their conversation. Vincent couldn't help but wonder why Jae Won was smiling genuinely towards this two faced bitch making him fumed with so much anger and jealousy I must add.
"This fucking bitch knows how to manipulate a man to her side" Vincent thought while he went to the kitchen for the hundredth time now. Jae Won who noticed such behavior from Vincent decided to end this conversation with Gloria "it's getting late, you should probably go before....". Jae Won couldn't complete his sentence when he was rudely cut off by Gloria.
"I won't mind if I sleep over. I can sleep in Claudia or Christiana's room" she said without even thinking twice.
Jae Won "...."
Vincent "...…"
"Huh" was the only word that came from Jae Won's mouth even though he had no idea he just uttered that word. Vincent who was coming from the kitchen has now lost his godamn mind. He stormed towards Gloria, held her soft arm and pulling her towards him heading straight to the door. "Wait wait let me call my sister".
"Hell no, Isabella can stay for the night or even her whole fucking life but not you shameless…." Vincent stopped with the rest of his curse stuck in his throat when he saw his mother and father as soon as he opened the door with his father leading the way to holding the door handle about to open. "I told you not curse in this house " Mr Jonathan said looking angry at Vincent.
With his words stuck in his throat Vincent paused "oops, I'm sorry to have done that". Mrs Gladys and her husband looked around "what's going on here" Mrs Gladys said but at the end of her sentence she knew what the hell was going. Gloria isn't someone to be tolerated in any home and they knew that one hundred percent. "Oh, you are going home right?" Mr Jonathan asked Gloria who was hesitant but end up nodding in agreement.
She didn't want to go but she knew her reputation wasn't good to be welcomed here even if she wanted to "I..I Isabella is upstairs. I'm waiting for her" she said trying to stall time but all her effort was down the drain. "It's okay Isabella can stay the night and besides she and Claudia are studying so" Mrs Gladys said without even blinking for a second.
Gloria gave up knowing she wasn't going to be accepted here. She started walking out the door but Mrs Gladys stopped her "wait, let the driver take you, it's late and here is remote area". Gloria couldn't even think of declining when she was drag into the car Mr Jonathan and his wife just got out from. "Drive her safely" said by Mrs Gladys to the driver.
Now Gloria who is so pissed at this family has gone out of their hair. They now felt like a burden has been lifted from them and they were a little hungry so they decided to prepare a beverage for the whole family. They prepared tea with bread and fried eggs for the family.
It's evening and the bird chirping and leaves rustling against each other and the soft wind carrying whispers through out the bushes creating a peaceful ambiance making the mansion's surrounding feel serene and natural just by watching.
They all sat in the living room watching television and communicating with laughter ringing across the room. Jae Won on the other hand watching from this warm family almost couldn't resist his tears but he was faster than Usain Bolt or even flash holding on to his tears and not destroyed that warmth emanating from this family.
He hasn't felt such warmth from his family Iike this in a long time and watching this brought warmth he wish he could have back at home. Not only does this family bring peace in fact they invented peace themselves. The family talked and played games whenever the vibe was good and this time they played Chessboard. They all went to their rooms when it was late.
As the morning sun penetrated through the mansion lighting up it's beautiful creation, Vincent woke up early as usual waiting for Jae Won to wake up. Claudia and Isabella has already left for class. Christiana and Wendell were almost ready for school while Samuel was still sleeping no matter how many he has been woken up by the servants and Mrs Gladys. And now she has reach her limit "if you don't wake up for school, I'm gonna come pour water on you while you are still on your bed" she said jolting Samuel up from his sleep.
Samuel knew her mother could do it since that won't be the first time she did it and each time it's different. She once put ice in his shorts when he refused to wake up and Mrs Gladys took a picture of the consequences and place it in the living room. He woke up not wanting to experience the same fate he had gone through several times. He went to take shower and went down to have breakfast.
The rest of the family came down to have breakfast while Jae Won was still asleep as he couldn't sleep since he slept in the afternoon. Vincent didn't bother to wake him up since he noticed he couldn't sleep. "Where is uuurm…he" Mrs Gladys paused trying to remember how it's pronounced. She still hasn't still gotten the wind of Jae's pronunciation.
"How about we name him on the day he was born" she suggested and Mr Jonathan agreed since he too couldn't pronounce the name. "Vincent ask him his date of birth so we could check it out ourselves" she said while they went back to their breakfast. The didn't even bother to listen to the excuse Vincent would give about Jae Won not joining them.
Breakfast was done and everybody continued what they were supposed to do. Wendell and Christiana has left for school while Samuel is ready but this time Mr Jonathan will drop him off as one of the driver had taken leave to care for his sick mum.
Back to Vincent's room. Jae Won is now awake and has taken his shower. He is happy he is about get his own phone as not try to peek at Samuel's phone. He is really close to Samuel apart from Vincent and he likes that. After dressing he came down to join the family for breakfast but he was met with empty dining table with trace of breakfast.
He went straight to the kitchen to get his breakfast but met with Beatrice massaging her waist. "What's wrong?" Jae Won asked Beatrice who paused his action turning to look the person who was asking. "Yes my waist dey pain me" she answered in pidgin. "Sorry" Jae Won replied signaling for his breakfast.
Jae Won has now finished eating his breakfast. He sat on the couch at the living room to relax and also make use of the time while he waits for Vincent to finish whatever he was doing with his mum. After an hour, Mr Jonathan left for the office leaving Mrs Gladys behind who was also getting ready to go to her shop after his talk with Vincent.
After a few minutes, Vincent came down the living room ready to leave with Jae Won to go buy his phone. Vincent now thought of scaring Jae Won a bit so he walked slowly towards Jae Won whose concentration were on this one Ghanaian actor who will make you laugh even if you just lost someone you love. As he tiptoed behind Jae Won with excitement in his eyes as his gaze fell on the victim, he shouted boo!! scaring the crap out of Jae Won.
Jae Won who didn't expect to be sneaked upon like this jolted up to save his life but slipped and almost fell on his back as he stood from the couch but Vincent managed to catch him. With Jae Won's eyes closed hoping not to watch his own fall, his heart bumping more than usual opened his eyes as he felt a hand caught him. He turned to look at Vincent whose face screamed where the fuck were you trying to go with each of them staring deeply into each other's eyes.
They all couldn't help admire each other's handsome face but that was cut short when they heard a knock on the door. They all turned their gaze to the door almost making them both fall. They positioned themselves well after they let go of each other. "Come on let's go buy your phone after we check out who is at the door" he said moving towards to door. He opened the door only to see Gloria standing with a scrunched up face looking at those two.
"What the fuck are you doing here again" he raised his voice and about to close the door when she finally spoke. "I'm here to pick up my phone. I left it here when you drag me out yesterday" she spoke softly while she crossed her arms in a defensive way.
Vincent: "....."
Jae Won: "....."
Mrs Gladys: "...…"
Mrs Gladys came down to open the door as she thought Vincent and Jae Won had already left. "What the fuck are you talking about" Vincent asked with his veins popping out to greet his body.
