Chapter 31- Typical Hatred
Lilith~
My fingers tangled in my hair, pulling and twisting until it felt like the strands were screaming.
Tears welled, hot and stinging, blurring the already indistinct shapes in my room. Why, Damien, why? Why don't you want me in this life?
It's a question that claws at me, a constant, gnawing ache in my chest. He's so… cold. Mean, even.
The way he looks right through me, like I'm some sort of invisible ghost haunting his periphery.
Back then… back then, Damien couldn't get enough of me. His eyes would follow me across a crowded room, filled with a warmth that melted my insides.
He was all smiles and soft touches, whispering sweet nothings that made my heart flutter like a trapped bird.
He was romantic, attentive, everything a girl could ever dream of. And honestly? It wasn't even hard to get his attention. A little sway of my hips, a lingering glance, a carefully placed touch, and he was putty in my hands. I barely had to try.
