"Appear, Succubus Knight!" I felt a bit cringe saying it, but I had no choice—that's how it works.
"Master, thank you for summoning me to this world. I will dedicate my life to fulfilling your commands," Succubus Knight appeared, kneeling respectfully in front of me.
"Can you break these chains?" I asked, raising my hands and shaking my legs to show the chains binding them.
"Very easy, Master," Succubus Knight grabbed the chains and, with her six hands, effortlessly shattered them.
"Thank you, Succubus Knight. Now, what will you do, old man?" I asked the old man with a smile.
"Boy, are you a Devil Fruit user? What's your name? Wait, I'm Alfred. Now, hurry up and help free the rest of us," the old man, who I now knew was named Alfred, said.
Wait, did I miss something important in his words? Devil Fruit? I only know one Devil Fruit, and I don't like where this conversation is going.
"Succubus Knight, break their chains too!"
"As you wish, Master." Succubus Knight freed the chains of the five other people in the cart.
"Now, Succubus Knight, let's get out of here!"
Six people jumped out of the cart—seven if you count Succubus Knight.
"Hey! What are you doing? Trying to escape?"
Four members of the slave hunter caravan raised their weapons at us. Three of them held swords, and one had a pistol.
I looked around and saw tall, massive trees. Some of the trees had numbers carved into them. Could it be?
"Succubus Knight, take them out! And to assist Succubus Knight, appear, Beaver Warrior! Beaver Warrior, protect me!"
Beaver Warrior nodded and raised his sword and shield, ready to protect me if any attacks got past Succubus Knight.
Succubus Knight, armed with nothing but her bare hands, quickly defeated two of the slave hunters. As she fought the third, I noticed the pistol aimed at me.
BANG!
CLANG!
Beaver Warrior's shield was raised just in time. Good job, Beaver Warrior.
Seeing this, Succubus Knight finished off the third slave hunter and immediately engaged the one with the pistol.
It seemed like she could handle him quickly.
"Alfred, you all should run and hide. Sorry, I didn't get to introduce myself to the rest of you," I suggested to Alfred. If my hunch about this place was correct, Succubus Knight wouldn't be able to handle the truly strong people here.
"You should run and hide too. Those slave hunters have eyes and ears everywhere. A 10-year-old boy wandering alone here will only invite trouble. And you still haven't told me your name."
"Erik. My name is Erik," I introduced myself to Alfred.
"Erik. I'll remember your name. And your power. Goodbye, Erik. I hope you survive."
"See you again, Alfred." Heh, why did I say "see you again"?
Alfred and the four other escaped slaves ran away from the scene.
"Succubus Knight, let's find a place to hide for now."
"As you wish, Master."
Succubus Knight, Beaver Warrior, and I ran, searching for a temporary hiding spot.
Wouldn't people find it strange to see a boy, a woman with six arms, and a beaver in armor walking through the forest? Should I return them to their card forms?
"Master, I think we can hide over there," Succubus Knight pointed to what looked like an abandoned building.
The building was damaged in several places, but I thought it would do for now.
"Alright, let's go there."
The three of us entered the building.
