Chapter 7 - CHAPTER 6

CHAPTER 6

"Are you out of your mind?" Derek chided his friend. They were walking towards the clinic. "I thought we are making friends with her."

"She hurt Kanna." Ravi was still mulling about it. People greeted them on the way, but he didn't even bother to glance at them as he wasn't in the mood to lift his lips to smile back.

"We didn't know what happened exactly."

"Find it out." He was totally pissed, and he quickened his footsteps, leaving Derek behind.

Derek wanted to snap back at him, but he shut his mouth at the last second as he stopped in his tracks and watched his charge storming on his way. He almost forgot that he wasn't just a friend. He was working for him. And he had to follow orders. What Prince Ravi Kyro said was an order, not a request.

He actually didn't understand why Ravi liked Kanna. He was currently courting her. So that was why he reacted that way. He decided to follow him before working on his order. Maybe he can get something from the girl's side. And while he was walking to the clinic, he was calling someone.

"Yes, Derek?" Headmistress Stella answered from the other side. Her voice was of controlled temper.

"His Highness wanted to know what happened at the cafeteria. Can you update me about it, ma'am?"

The principal sighed. "Of course. I'm still working on it. I was about to talk to Miss McLarren first. She isn't here yet."

"What is her case? Had she studied in the academy before?"

"Yes. She left three years ago."

"May I know the reason?"

"I don't know the full information about it. You should ask her. She's General McLarren's daughter after all. I don't want to assume things and wrong a family like them."

"All right. I understand, Headmistress. Thank you for the heads-up, by the way. Please keep me updated." Then he hung up. He hated this kind of command, actually. But he had to follow orders.

He was outside the clinic and saw an ambulance. Ravi was about to hop on it as well, but he sprinted to him.

"What are you doing? Stay here." He pulled his arm and tugged him away from the mobile. "Please go." He said to the nurse and closed the door of the vehicle. He didn't let go of Ravi until it started.

"I want to go with her! They said she needed to get an operation. She could be bleeding inside her head." Ravi tried to pry his arm away from Derek.

"It wouldn't help things even if you went there. You'd only create trouble for the media if they caught you." He tried to reason with him.

Ravi's breathing came fast as he had a hand on his waist and the other on his temple. His head started to ache, and there was a burning urge inside him that wanted to erupt.

Derek observed his behavior. He took a packet of blue pills from his pocket and handed it to Ravi. "Here. To calm you down."

Ravi took it, ripped open the plastic, and tossed it in his mouth. He swallowed the pill. Whenever he was feeling enraged, the blue pill helped him calm down. He had to take it, or he might not know what he'll be doing next. What damage he could have done. He wouldn't risk knowing it.

He closed his eyes, waiting for the effects of the pill. It never failed him. After a minute, her breathing steadied. And he inhaled deeply. His lungs relaxed, and something inside him subsided down.

Kaisha was inside her dorm and went straight to the bathroom. She opened the water on the tub and took everything. She felt sticky, though she didn't have too much blood on her, just a few splashes on her clothes. But she just felt dirty. And there was also that greasy feeling in her face from the food that her face dove into.

The water in the tub quickly filled, and she sunk in it. The water overflowed on the floor. She reached for the rose-scented soap at the side and made the water bubble by it. The cold temperature helped soothe her hot rage. She closed her eyes and let herself take some of the form so that it would completely calm down. She could feel how the horns started digging out at the side of her scalp, growing. Her teeth sharpened, fingers turned into claws, pointy ears, and her eyes turned black. There were black veins snaking up from her chest to her neck and to her jaw.

She glanced at the wall that was covered by a wide mirror. Somehow, as time passed by, seeing her beast form wasn't as ugly as before. Over time, she could see how demonically stunning it was. She could forego the fur all over her skin if she wanted to. But it doesn't give her full protection from the cold. She wouldn't be at her full potential unless she transformed completely.

She sighed, leaning her body at the side, and stared at herself. "How can I be so beastly beautiful?" She asked in the air. Her red hair hung soaked around her face and over her shoulders. She loved her long hair. Especially if it was floating in the water. It looked majestic for her.

Then she heard the telephone ringing outside the door. She ignored it, and it died down. She settled her back at the head of the tub and closed her eyes. Wanting the coldness of the water to seep inside her system. Her breathing becoming more labored, relax.

Another loud noise caught her ears. It was from her phone that she left on the bedside table before going in the bathroom.

She knew that was probably the principal or her parents. She wanted to take her sweet time to relax before facing anyone again. Her mood was on the edge. It was always on the edge. She got carried away so easily. Wrath was her best friend or beast friend. How thrilling!

She'd hurt someone because of the rage inside her. She'd turn from a sweet girl before into a violent one now.

A knock in her bathroom door awakened her from her thoughts.

"Miss Kaisha?" It was one of the bodyguards.

Shouldn't they leave her alone since she was already in her dorm?

"Why are you still in here? You can all leave. I'm already settled in the campus." She stated in a loud raspy voice for them to hear her. Her noise echoed around the tiled walls in the entire bathroom. It brought ringing in her ears for she was in her half semi-form. She slowly turned her features to human. Everything retreated to normal.

"Are you okay there, Miss? You sound different." The man insisted.

She knew she sounded strange because her voice got a gravelling timbre. She cleared her throat. "I'm fine." It was more normal now. "What do you want? It better be urgent because you're in my bedroom."

"Someone's outside the dorm. The headmistress was waiting for you at the office."

She grumbled. "Right. Get out."

She stood up and stepped out from the tub. She positioned herself under the shower to rinse the soap from her body and after a few minutes, she grabbed a bathrobe from the cabinet and covered her body. She got out of the bathroom and locked her bedroom door before dressing up.

Just a simple blouse, skirt, and boots. Her hair was still dripping wet. She only rubbed the excess water by a towel. She put on slight make up to tap some color on her creamy pale skin.

After everything, she looked at herself at the full-body mirror and was satisfied enough with her appearance. Except for her still soaked hair that was hanging loosely behind her. It reached a few inches past her waist.

She grabbed her phone and keys on her nightstand, and put them in her skirt pocket before going out through the door to the living room and out the dorm. She already expected her bodyguards waiting outside but there were two extra people who stood waiting with glowering looks on her.

What does this duo want now?
