CHAPTER 5
Kaisha pursed her lips and took a deep, slow breath with her eyes closed. She let the bodyguards take care of the mad woman behind her. She pulled out a handkerchief as the other guards gave her wet wipes from one of the bags. Just some luck that she was currently eating a dry meal in front of her. She had her hair styled in a low ponytail, and it reached past her waist. So, it didn't get any of the mess that her face had.
There were still desserts on the table. She pulled the piece of chocolate cake close to the edge of the table, and she stood up.
The woman wasn't done spouting words at her that she didn't pay attention to as the rage inside her was making her senses numb. She turned around, and the woman was held by her friends. The men created a barrier for her not to get to her again.
"Bring her to me." She ordered the guards in a low tone, but it meant volume of command. Her jaw was clenched tight as her teeth chattered from the boiling wrath inside her. She was all set to erupt.
"Come here, you mad bitch." She hissed, and the guards surrounded her minions so they would let go of their friend. She eyed Lira, who looked at her with disappointment. She didn't know what the woman was thinking, but she sure damn hell caused this by saying something to the girl that attacked her.
The woman instantly came on her and was about to raise a hand to slap her, but she caught her wrist and twisted her arm behind before pushing her face down on the table, where the chocolate cake was. The woman got lucky that her face exactly landed on the cake; otherwise, her skull could have cracked from the brutal impact directly on the table.
Her captive screamed. She closed her fist to her hair as she pulled her back up. Blood oozed out from the wound on her forehead. She looked down at the squashed cake; the saucer even broke from the force. Some blood even splattered on the table. Many people gathered around them with horrified expressions on their faces. Loud gasps and whimpers of fear buzzed inside the cafeteria walls.
The bodyguards were hesitating to stop her actions as they looked at their colleagues with uncertain decisions.
"Kanna!" Her friends shouted and wanted to help, but the guards stopped them from interrupting Kaisha.
"Let go of her, please!" Lira cried. And the rest begged her to let go of their friend.
Kanna held Kaisha's hand that was gripping her hair, but her hands fell to her side as she was losing consciousness.
Kaisha felt the woman getting heavy in her hold. "How does it feel to get your head banged on the table?" She only got a groan as a response. She snorted and moved her face close to her ears. "So, you're the stepsister? You've gone bitter since you couldn't shag your brother in his current state, right?"
The woman's eyes jerked open in shock.
"You think I didn't know?" Kaisha pushed more.
And Kanna seemed to gather a newfound strength to fight her. Kaisha released her, but she slapped the woman so hard that she was thrown on the ground. She knew it hurt, for she could feel in her palm the reverberation of that hit.
She was just seeing red as she remembered how Felix told her that she was much more exciting than his stepsister. That she was prettier to get on the bed and more thrilling. He elaborated on it to her that freaking night when his friends were having a feel of her body. Before she transformed and went berserk.
It was just then that she realized the woman had the same hair as the one she saw in his phone's gallery one time when he left it on the table with one of their dates. She couldn't actually see the woman's face because she was blowing someone in the video. And it was recorded from the dick holder's phone. She didn't fight Felix for it, for she thought that it was probably from the internet.
How freaking naive she was back then. And she wouldn't be making the same mistake of believing that people couldn't be so…complicated like that. Twisted like that. No. Not anymore. Because she herself had gone twisted with being a beast.
Kanna tried to get up, but she staggered as she lost consciousness and lay on the floor. Her friends and Lira came to her side.
Just then the double doors in the cafeteria slammed open with a storming security staff and the headmistress.
"What is going on here? I receive—" Headmistress Stella stopped at the sight of blood on the table and the floor. Then her gaze turned to Kanna. "Oh my God. Call the medics!" She ordered someone from the people she was with.
Then Stella whipped her head to Kaisha, who had her head held high and met the principal's gaze.
"I just had a very warm welcome. But she sucks at the warm part." But the warm blood she got out from Kanna was a great compensation for what the woman started. She knew she had to stop talking, but she was still so angry. Kanna reminded her again of the worst night of her life. And that Felix was fucking her while they were in a relationship. She had truly liked the disgusting pig back then. Kanna blamed her for her brother's current estate. And lastly, she interrupted her meal.
There were so many things that made her too angry that it won't die down any time soon. She had to get out there to cool her head.
"To my office, Miss McLarren." Stella turned around with a huff and it was a demand, not a request.
Just as she needed. The semester hadn't even officially started yet and she was already called to the principal's office.
She took a deep breath. Her hands were still tightly clenched close at her sides. She wasn't done erupting spilling out her nerves but Kanna was already down. Medics arrived and carried her on a stretcher.
The faculty staffs and other securities were trying to dissipate the crowd that had gathered for today's entertainment.
Cafeteria personnels waited at the side to clean the table. They didn't dare come near her. She appreciated that a lot.
"Miss?" One of the bodyguards called for her attention. They were waiting for her next move.
"Let's go to my dorm." She said and they started to follow her as some lead the way. People retreated like she was Moses in the middle of the sea. That was great. The freak show had just started as she still had years in college.
She was about to pass by the door when she noticed that Derek and Prince were struggling at the side, and Prince succeeded to shove his friend away. He blocked the door. Her bodyguards hesitated to talk him out of the way since they knew who was in front of them. Prince Ravi Kyro. The golden boy. The country president son in all his glory. And he was glowering at her.
"Why did you do that to her?" The blonde was almost ready to attack by the way he looked at her. She was a bit bewildered in his tone. His yellow eyes turned darker as his jaw was set hard.
"Why do you care?" She snapped back. "Move, Kyro." She didn't want to threaten a president's son but she was on the verge of doing so if he wouldn't budge sooner.
Derek pulled him to the side and dragged the guy away from their sight.
She didn't know what was that about. Why does he care by the way? And he didn't have any rights to question her.
