Chapter 5 - CHAPTER 4

CHAPTER 4

The bodyguards, Headmistress Stella, and even the golden-haired guy that was with the dark-haired asshole came to her side, but not everyone could fit in the door at once. The blonde slightly brushed his companion's shoulder to get past him.

"Are you alright?" He was the only one who reached her side first. The principal just came to her when she already stood up on her own as well.

Kaisha looked at him. She knew who he was. Who wouldn't? He was quite famous for his face and national status. The blonde hair and golden eyes made him look like a model from all magazines, despite his young age of 22. He had the same height as her brother and father. He had a prominent jaw, glowing eyes that seemed to smile all the time, and he had the aura of a calm, approachable person. But his gorgeousness was intimidating enough. She was standing next to none other than the country president's only son, Prince Ravi Kyro. He really had that royal title in his first name. Just how fitting being the leader's son.

"Ravi." The black-haired jerk who she bumped into reached for the blonde.

"Miss, are you alright?" He repeated like he didn't hear his friend and slapped the hand away that was about to hold him. "I apologize for Derek's rudeness." He looked down at her with sincerity in his golden eyes.

She blinked and averted her gaze away from his face before she could stare longer at how handsome he was. And she was actually surprised by his good manners. He wasn't being arrogant and boastful of his father's position. That was a bit shocking. And she now understood why almost every girl liked him. He wasn't just good-looking but had proper manners too. She turned to the guy whom he called Derek.

"You should apologize. Not him." She stated with equal disdain that he showed earlier. She glanced back at Prince. "I'm fine. Thanks for asking." Then in an instant, her heart pulsed along with the sudden urge to devour the delicious-looking man beside her.

"Apologize, Derek." He said it to his friend, but she waved it off.

"Screw it." She said and proceeded to the door. She shoved Derek to the side, which made him stumble back. He gasped from her stance, but she didn't give a goddamn care. If he dared to chase after her, she'd rip his head off. She meant it.

"Miss! Wait." The bodyguards called after her.

The principal signaled one of them to bring her things that scattered on the floor. Her dorm card and everything else.

Derek wanted to grab the daring woman for shoving him, but they had more important matters at hand. He was Ravi's bodyguard, so he had to take everything seriously, especially his safety, which was always on the line being the son of the highest position in the country.

They were in the headmistress's office to discuss some matters about the security of the place. But they both wondered who the redhead was. She could be someone with those bodyguards tailing her.

"Who was that, Headmistress?" Derek asked. He had to know in case she was a threat.

They settled inside the office after that incident and sat in the lounge chair. Ravi didn't try to interrupt their conversation. He leaves it to his bodyguard. He was playing with his phone while the two talked. But his ears caught Derek's question.

"That's Miss Kaisha McLarren." Answered Stella.

Ravi instantly got more curious as he was familiar with the last name.

Derek's heartbeat instantly kicked up. "McLarren? Is she related to…"

Stella smiled. "Yes, Derek. She's General Francisco McLarren's only daughter."

He froze upon hearing the information. He had certainly dug his own grave.

Ravi chuckled, and he met his eyes when he looked at him sitting comfortably on the sofa in the lounge area.

"I told you many times already that you shouldn't be rude to people. You know what, I think you're gonna be the death of me if you make enemies with the right ones." Ravi stated. He meant it sarcastically. Derek is a great bodyguard. He had been with him for three years since his last year of high school. They were in the same grade, but Derek was so strict and uptight. He almost couldn't just talk with anyone because he was intimidating them with his bad-boy look and sharp gaze.

Not everyone knew that he was his bodyguard. What people mostly thought was that they were just friends. They even got the Yin-Yang duo title.

"I think it's better to apologize to her than to the General himself." Ravi added, unconcerned with his friend.

Derek groaned and nodded in defeat. He withdrew his eyes from His Highness. Yeah. His charge got that golden boy image, not just of his hair and looks but also of his personality that most people would take advantage of. That was also the reason he had to be strict, or Prince could have been dead just by eating a piece of cake from an admirer. He sometimes wondered if it was Ravi's kindness or stupidity that the threats could be successful one day.

***********

Kaisha walked inside the cafeteria. She was glad that it was open despite the start of the classes being tomorrow. She ordered a lot of food. And when she said a lot, the whole tray was full. Not just that, she had one guard carry another tray with her on the table. And she insisted on treating them to a late lunch also. It was already 1:00 in the afternoon. They were all seated at a long table that had a bench chair.

There were other students going in and out of the cafeteria. Most were eyeing them with furrowed brows either from curiosity, gossip or being familiar with her. But no one approached. That was great. She didn't want to get along with random people, or with any at all.

Then a loud giggle from a bunch of girls echoed in the cafeteria. Everyone turned their attention at the door. Even she while she was munching her chicken like she hadn't eaten in a year. Her hands were all greasy from holding the drumstick part. Maybe it was also the reason why people were looking at her. She was just hungry. They should be thankful that they were seeing her chewing a cooked chicken part instead of a raw human part.

She should be disgusted of having such thought of being a cannibal, but her hunger prevailed. Nothing could put off her appetite in the moment.

The four girls stared at Kaisha's direction as she just turned her back at them and resumed eating. Though she recognized one of them but she chose to give a cold-shoulder. She was oblivious that they were sauntering her way.

She heard a murmur as people followed the movements of the girls.

"Kaisha?" A sweet, careful voice asked her from behind. Her bodyguards turned at them and stood out of the long seat.

"Excuse me, but our Miss is eating." He said at them and warded the girls away from her.

The girl insisted and was about to tap her shoulder but the guard caught her wrist, He put himself in between her and the other party.

"It's Lira." She insisted.

The guard cautiously tried to make them step back from her personal space.

Of course, she knew it was her. But couldn't she get the message that she wasn't in a friendly mood or that she was eating that doesn't want to be disturbed?

"Let's go, Lira." One of the girls said. "Who is she by the way?"

Lira whispered something to the leader of the group she just joined.

Kanna's eyes bulged upon hearing what Lira said in her ears.

In an instant, Kanna almost leaped from where she stood. Everyone was caught off-guard as the woman shoved the man away that was blocking her. She fisted Kaisha's hair, and shoved her head down on the table. Her face met the food on her plate. She spat the food out as she almost got choked.

"You are the reason my brother got unwell!" Kanna shrieked.

So damn much for laying low. Classes haven't even started yet. Freaking great!
