Chapter 18 - A Booming Business

"I'll call one of the guys to come over. We need a hand!" Emily said to her father. Just after handing out the flyers, business came in one after another.

Her father was busy and but happy. He turned to look at her and said, "I have called and he is on his way."

"I hope you're not angry with the table of guests I brought, dad!" She said while biting a cucumber.

Her father glanced into the hall through the small window and said with a smile, "Friends, eh? They've been busy all morning, so we have to entertain them well! Go out and keep your friends company. When the assistant chef and shop assistant come, we'll be able to catch up with them."

Emily raised her hand and patted her dad's shoulder, saying casually, "I'll leave this to you, dad! Let them have a taste of your special dishes."

"Haha... no problem." Her father replied with a smile.

When Emily walked out of the kitchen, she ran into her mother. She pulled Emily aside and said excitedly, "Emily, the restaurant is booming! Many customers called to place orders. Your method worked!"

Emily smiled at her dear mother, raised her finger and pointed at her head, and said, "I, your daughter, am a genius!"

For a moment, her mother forgot about the unpleasant things that happened last night. She cleared away the haze and felt relieved. She opened the freezer and stuffed a few bottles of soda into my pocket. She smiled and said, "Go and keep your friends company. Don't let us look ignorant and neglect them. I have something else to do. I'll come over and greet them later."

Okay, the phone at the bar started ringing again!

Ten minutes later, the shop assistants and the chef came over. Without even taking a breath, they quickly changed into their work clothes and started working.

In order to motivate them, Emily's mother promised that if the store's booming business continued, she would give them a raise.

When the guys heard that the boss was going to raise their salaries, they all became excited and worked as hard as if they were competing.

After lunch, and seeing her friends all off, Emily stayed in the restaurant for a while, helping to clean up, and then went home.

In the room, she sat in front of the computer, following the latest developments on Instagram.

Many news media outlets were reporting on the arrest of James Lindemann for allegedly hiring thugs to commit vandalism, and online users were leaving comments and responding to the reports, causing a stir.

James Lindemann is finished this time!

Many fans replied, "Mr. Lindemann is a complete bad guy! He must be severely punished!"

"Justice is in the hearts of the people! Support Emily!"

"Emily, you are the strongest woman I have ever known!"

"As a human being, you must have courage. Support Emily Sanders!"

On Instagram, many fans were cheering for her.

Those people who had previously helped Aurora Media to scold her on Instagram had now disappeared and went silent.

James Lindemann was arrested, which also proved Emily's innocence.

Many online users followed her. In just a few days, her number of fans had reached nearly 100,000.

Was this another step closer to success?

Emily had nothing to do in the afternoon, so she strolled to the restaurant.

The guy in the store was tired after a long day and fell asleep at the dining table.

Emily's mother sat at the bar, calculating the account books, her mouth never closing.

"Mum, how's business?" Emily raised her hand and tapped the bar lightly, smiling.

Hearing this, my mother looked up from the account book, her eyes narrowed into a line, and said, "Let me show you, this is today's income, it's higher than the net profit of the previous week."

My mother pushed the account book to me, which was clearly marked with red pen. The customer flow was indeed increasing continuously. More than 200 sets of meals were sold at noon today alone, and the profit was considerable.

Emily smiled and said, "Since it's so effective, I'll print some more and go around the nearby schools some other day."

Today's college students didn't really like eating in the school's cafeteria. Some would even rather tip their roommates and ask them to bring their own meals rather than go downstairs to eat.

Such potential customers were still easy to develop.

Facts had proved that her methods boosted the restaurant's business and produced immediate results. Naturally, her mother listened to her and never doubted it again.

"Okay, we'll ask the store guys to help then." Her mother was very happy.

Emily had been in the restaurant for a while, but she didn't see my dad, so she asked, "Where's my dad? Why isn't he here?"

Her mother smiled and said, "He went to buy groceries. The store has ran out of supplies."

Emily was surprised and asked, "What kind of supplies are you buying at this time?"

"Well, a guest has called to make a dinner reservation this afternoon, so of course we have to prepare the ingredients." As her mother spoke, she took out a notebook and showed it to her.

All the records above are the mobile phone numbers reserved by the customers who placed orders, and even the types of various meal packages are recorded clearly.

"So popular?" Emily asked in surprise. Even dinner was booked in advance? This result is much better than I expected!

Her mother covered her mouth and laughed, she was so happy.

At about five o'clock, Emily had just come out of the restaurant when she received a call from Jasper.

On the phone, he told her that he had booked a table at the Florence Western Restaurant and said he would drive over to pick her up at around six o'clock.

Emily thought it was too much trouble. Since she knew the address, she could just take a cab there, so she politely declined his offer.

Jasper didn't force it, and they agreed to meet at the western restaurant at 6:30.

Emily went home, packed up briefly, changed her clothes and went on her way to the western restaurant.

On the way there in a cab, she surprisingly received a call from Rosalie.

"Hello, is this Miss Sanders" When the phone was connected, an unfamiliar female voice came.

Emily raised an eyebrow and asked suspiciously, "Yes, who am I talking to?"

The other party introduced herself, "I'm Rosalie, Sebastian's girlfriend. We met at the dinner at the two days ago. I wonder if you still remember her?"

Lady, of course I remember you! I've come to this world again to save you, lady. No need to thank me, just call me Fairy Sister.

"I remember you, Rosalie. By the way, just call me Emily." She said politely.

The other party smiled and said, "Can we talk over dinner? It's something about Sebastian."

This woman was not stupid! At least she was suspicious of the guy. This was a good start!

Emily's biggest advantage was that she was too kind and she always couldn't bear to reject others.

"Okay, you decide the time." She responded readily.

Seeing that she didn't refuse, Rosalie was no longer so nervous, "How about tomorrow at noon? Can you make it?"

Emily was always easy to talk to, so she said in a pleasant manner, "No problem, I have plenty of time to make it."

"Great, see you tomorrow at noon. I'll send the address to your phone then." Rosalie said with a smile.

"OK" Rosalie and her made an appointment for lunch the following day

After driving out of her block for about ten minutes, they soon arrived at Florence Western Restaurant.

She paid and got off the cab. Jasper was already waiting for her at the restaurant entrance.
