"Such a poor thing."
"Look at all these bruises. Where could she have gotten them from?"
"They look like vampire bites."
"Ah, they do."
"How did she even outrun them?"
"Oh look! Look! She's gaining consciousness!"
Someone eagerly said and my eyes dully opened only to flinch at the sunlight.
After a while, I opened them again and realized I was lying down while facing the sun.
"SHE'S AWAKE! OH PRAISE THE ALMIGHTY!!"
They screamed and I moaned as I tried to sit upright only for them to quickly assist me.
When I sat upright with my back leaned against something, I looked around and realized I was on a moving truck. And we were on a clean road… ROAD!
And as I tiredly looked to my right, I found two ladies smiling and as I looked to my left I found two other ladies grinning while being all teary eyed for my sake.
"Ugh," I groaned and shut my eyes briefly.
"Are you alright?"
"Do you need water?"
"Is something bothering you?"
