Henry's POV
"You're an Omega male, Alaric?!"
I blurted out, my voice carrying the weight of pure disbelief. The sheer shock of it nearly made me trip over my own feet.
An Omega male?! Weren't they supposed to be rare? Practically mythical?!
Before I could fully process this revelation, an unmistakable commotion erupted from outside. Alpha males. Lots of them. Yelling, growling, and probably frothing at the mouth in a hormone-induced frenzy.
"Henry! For the love of everything holy, get in here and shut the door! You're making things worse for Alaric!" Kali's panicked shriek cut through the chaos.
"Oh! My bad!" I squeaked, scrambling inside like a guilty puppy and slamming the door shut behind me. I triple checked the lock, just to be safe.
Taking a cautious step forward, I tried to assess the situation, but Kali threw out a hand like a traffic officer on a power trip.
"Stay right where you are, Henry! Do NOT come any closer to Alaric!" she snapped, her eyes darting between me and our trembling friend.
I followed her gaze and finally took in Alaric's state. He was sweating bullets, his breathing ragged, and his whole body looked like it was about to crumple under an invisible weight. The pain was written all over his face.
Kali took a deep breath and fumbled with a suppressant injector, trying to steady her trembling hands. But she hesitated.
I saw the fear in her eyes—she wasn't sure if she could do it.
That was my cue. I ignored Kali's protests and strode toward Alaric. She might've shouted at me to stop, but I had bigger concerns than following orders right now.
I knelt beside Alaric, feeling for his pulse.
"His heart rate's through the roof," I muttered, analyzing his condition. "He's panicking. The stress is making it worse. I can do this—let me administer the suppressant."
Kali hesitated, visibly torn. "Henry, I—"
"I won't let anything happen to him," I said firmly. My gaze met hers, unwavering.
A long pause.
Then, with a deep breath, she reluctantly handed me the injector.
"Please, Henry... help him. I've never seen him like this before," she whispered.
I nodded and turned to Alaric, finally getting a good look at him. And let me just say—wow.
"So, this is what you've been hiding under all those layers of clothing," I mused. His body was slender but toned, a delicate frame disguising surprising strength. "Makes sense now. You were keeping it covered to avoid attracting attention."
"HENRY, THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO STUDY ALCARIC'S BODY!" Kali shrieked, flailing her arms.
"Sorry, sorry! I'm just saying—of all the people in the world, I never thought Alaric would be the first Omega male I'd ever meet!" I defended, shaking my head in amazement.
Trying to refocus, I turned back to Kali. "Look here," I said, showing her Alaric's inner arm. "For the suppressant to work fastest, you need to inject it directly into a major vein."
She leaned in, eyes glued to what I was showing her.
"Now, if you can't find the vein right away—press here," I instructed, pinching Alaric's upper arm to increase blood flow.
"NGHH!" Alaric gasped, his body jerking slightly.
"You're hurting him!" Kali panicked.
"No, he's just in pain from his heat, Kali," I corrected calmly. Then, finally, I found the perfect spot. "Right here. This is where we inject."
Taking a deep breath, I positioned the injector over his vein.
"Alright, Alaric. This might sting a little, but compared to the rest of your suffering, you probably won't even notice it. Here we go."
I pressed the plunger.
The suppressant entered his system.
For a few seconds, nothing happened. Then, like magic, his entire body relaxed. His muscles, which had been coiled tight, finally eased. His breathing steadied. The agonizing tension melted away.
I exhaled in relief.
"It worked," I murmured.
Alaric, still catching his breath, reached out weakly and grabbed my hand. "Thank you, Henry..."
I smiled. "Anytime, Alaric."
Beside us, Kali collapsed onto the floor in relief. "Sweet heavens above..." she wheezed. "I thought Alaric's gonna die."
I glanced toward the door. The frenzied yelling from the Alphas outside had stopped.
"Seems like the suppressant is working on them too. Their instincts must be calming down," I noted. Then, grinning, I added, "Fascinating. Omega male heats are so powerful they can throw entire packs into disarray. Even Voder lost his mind."
"HEY!" Kali smacked my arm. "DON'T bring up Alaric's heat like it's some kind of science experiment! This is serious! You're royalty, Henry! Do you have any idea what would happen if people found out about this?!"
I laughed. "Relax, Kali. I have no intention of snitching to my father. In fact, this is the perfect opportunity." My grin widened. "Now that I've encountered an Omega male in heat firsthand, I can finally study one up close."
Kali's eye twitched. "Henry, no. Alaric is NOT some test subject!"
Before she could launch into another rant, Alaric's soft voice interrupted us.
"Henry..." he murmured, eyes half-lidded.
Kali and I immediately turned toward him.
"You have my permission," Alaric said softly.
We blinked. "What?"
"You may study me," he continued. "I want to understand myself too."
I felt my lips curl into a grin. "Don't worry. I won't do anything inappropriate."
"You better not!" Kali barked. "And you can bet your royal ass that I'll be watching you like a hawk the whole time! Eyes WIDE open! If I see even a SLIGHTLY suspicious move—"
I burst out laughing.
This was going to be very interesting.
I glanced at the suppressant vial, my curiosity instantly piqued. Something about it didn't sit right with me.
"Where did you get the suppressant?" I asked, eyeing it suspiciously.
Alaric sighed, shifting slightly. "It was given to me by my mother. She uses it whenever she goes into her heat stage. It helps keep things under control."
I inhaled deeply, rubbing my temples. "Yeah... that's what I was afraid of."
Alaric frowned. "What do you mean by that?"
I turned to him, my expression serious. "That suppressant isn't meant for Omega males."
His frown deepened. "What?"
"That particular suppressant is formulated for Omega females. Since you're an Omega male, there's a high chance it will have some... undesirable side effects on your body."
Alaric's eyes widened. "Like what?"
I hesitated for a moment, then sighed. "Well... dizziness, nausea, fatigue..."
He nodded slowly. "Okay, that doesn't sound too bad—"
"—And most importantly," I continued, "it might cause your breast to enlarge."
A beat of silence.
Alaric blinked and covered his chest with his hands. "My what?"
I cleared my throat. "There's an ingredient in this suppressant that increases prolactin levels in the body. Since you're not female, your body won't know what to do with the excess hormones, which means—" I gestured vaguely at his chest.
Alaric paled. "You mean I might grow... boobs?!"
I nodded solemnly. "Man-boobs, to be exact."
His eyes widened in horror. "Oh, HELL NO!" He immediately held the vial away from himself like it was radioactive. "I AM NEVER USING THIS AGAIN!"
I chuckled. "Unfortunately, you don't have much of a choice right now, Alaric. Your body needs something to stabilize its condition. But don't worry—I'll fix this." I placed a confident hand on my chest. "I'll study this problem and create a brand-new suppressant specifically for Omega males. I'll call it... 'SupprOmega'!"
Kali snorted. "That is the worst name I have ever heard."
Alaric, however, smiled weakly. "Thank you, Henry. I'm really lucky you were here."
I grinned. "Obviously. Without me, you'd be passed out, growing a full C-cup in your sleep."
Kali huffed. "That also means I'll be watching your every move from now on, Henry! I don't trust you to mess around with Alaric's body unsupervised!"
I smirked. "Oh? Does that mean you'll be watching me everywhere? Even when I'm showering? Even when I'm taking a poop? Or even peeing?"
"NOT THOSE PLACES, YOU DISGUSTING CREEP!" Kali shrieked, flailing her arms as if she could physically slap the thoughts out of my brain.
I laughed, raising my hands in surrender. "Relax, I was just checking the extent of your stalking commitment."
Alaric chuckled softly, finally looking more at ease.
"Anyway," I said, stretching my arms, "I think it's safe to leave now. It's getting ridiculously hot in this storeroom."
Kali huffed. "Good, because I am suffocating in here! And frankly, Henry, I don't want to share the same air as you any longer!"
I smirked. "Oh, Kali. If only you'd just admit your deep admiration for me, this would be much easier."
Kali gagged. "Please. I'd rather breathe Alaric's heat pheromones than acknowledge you as anything more than an annoying little troll."
I just chuckled, shaking my head.
Well, this was one hell of a day.
...
...
...
It was already the crack of dawn, and here I was, torturing myself with books in my dimly lit bedroom, desperately trying to stay awake.
I had spent the past several hours devouring every bit of knowledge I could find about Omega males—all for the sake of helping Alaric.
And now, it was all starting to make sense the reason why Alaric's features seemed softer, more delicate compared to Alpha males.
As I was deep into my research, the door to my bedroom creaked open.
"Henry? You're still awake?"
I snapped the book shut so fast it nearly smacked my own face.
Standing at the doorway was my older brother, Voder, arms crossed, wearing his usual smirk of amused disbelief.
"You've become so obsessed with studying Omega males that you're losing sleep over it now?" he teased, shaking his head.
I sighed, rubbing my temples. "Sorry, big bro, but I'm just really determined to figure this out."
Voder let out a long exasperated sigh and, without warning, flopped onto my bed like it was his own.
I raised an eyebrow. "Can't sleep?"
"Nope," he muttered. "Had another argument with Father. He wants me to do things his way, but it goes against everything I actually want."
I snorted. "Ah, the struggles of being an Alpha prince. Must be so hard."
Voder chuckled. "You have no idea. Sometimes, I actually envy you, Henry. Your life is so much simpler."
I rolled my eyes. "Please. You have everything. The only thing you're missing is an Omega."
Silence.
Voder didn't laugh. He didn't roll his eyes.
He just lay there, staring at the ceiling.
His usual cocky smirk had vanished. Something heavy was on his mind.
And for some reason... I felt the urge to tell him the truth.
I trusted Voder. He might tease me relentlessly, but he wasn't the type to betray me.
And deep down, I knew he wouldn't betray Alaric either.
"Hey, bro..." I said cautiously.
"Hmm?"
"Do you believe... that Omega males exist?"
He shot me a tired look. "Oh, here we go again with your weird questions."
"But what if—" I leaned forward, lowering my voice. "What if I told you I've met one?"
His brow furrowed, finally giving me his full attention.
He sat up slightly, giving me a smirk. "Are you sleep-deprived, or do you need me to leave so you can go back to dreaming?"
"I'm serious."
He raised an eyebrow.
"If I told you I found an Omega male, would you... report him to Father?" I asked carefully. "Would you expose him? What would you do? Would you... kill him?"
Voder blinked. "Whoa, slow down, genius. One question at a time," he chuckled, sitting up completely.
But then... he grew quiet.
He thought about it.
And then he looked me dead in the eye.
"No."
I frowned. "No?"
"The answer to all your questions is no," Voder repeated. "I wouldn't report him. I wouldn't expose him. And I sure as hell wouldn't kill him."
I exhaled, relieved.
Voder smirked. "What do you take me for? A murderer?"
I laughed lightly, shaking my head. "No... but our father would."
His smirk faded. He nodded slowly.
"Yeah," he admitted. "If Father found out... that Omega male would be as good as dead. I wouldn't hand him over. He doesn't deserve that. He's still a person, he has a life, Henry."
I swallowed hard. "So... you believe me?"
Voder shrugged. "Well, I still think you might be delusional, but hypothetically, if you're telling the truth... I wouldn't do anything to hurt him."
I hesitated.
"Would you like to know who he is?"
Voder gave me a lazy grin. "Only if you promise not to freak out when I tease you about it later."
I rolled my eyes. "You have to swear that you won't tell him you know. Let him live in peace. Don't mess with him."
Voder chuckled. "Fine, fine. I promise. I won't say anything. I'll let him live his life."
Satisfied, I finally moved to sit beside him on the bed.
And without thinking, I slung an arm around his shoulders.
Voder let out a dramatic sigh. "Brotherly affection? This late at night?"
"Shut up," I snorted.
And for the first time in a long time, I felt completely at ease.
I took a deep breath, steadying my thoughts before turning to my older brother.
"Brother, do you remember the time you suddenly lost control when you sensed an Omega in heat?" I asked, my voice careful.
Voder frowned slightly, crossing his arms. "Yeah... It was strange. It was like my instincts just took over. All I could think about was finding that Omega. It was unlike anything I've ever felt before."
I nodded, already expecting his response. "That's because it wasn't just any Omega."
Voder tilted his head, intrigued. "Omega male then?"
"The pheromones that Omega males release during heat are far stronger than those of Omega females. It's why Alphas like you completely lose control the moment you detect it." I explained.
Voder fell silent, deep in thought.
"But... how?" He murmured. "Why did it happen now? And why did it just disappear all of a sudden? Like a switch flipping in my mind, I was back to normal."
"Suppressants," I answered simply. "He used them to stop his heat. That's why your instincts died down instantly."
Voder sat up straighter. "Then that means—" He hesitated. "Who is this Omega male you're talking about, Henry?"
I inhaled deeply, locking eyes with him.
"It's Alaric."
Voder froze.
For a full moment, he sat completely still, his gaze fixed blankly ahead as if his brain had just short-circuited.
I let him process it.
Finally, I spoke again, my tone firm. "Brother, promise me—you must protect Alaric's secret. No one else can find out about this."
Voder still didn't respond. His expression was unreadable.
"I want to study him, understand his body and nature. And he has allowed me to do so. This is my chance to expand my knowledge, to learn something no one else has before." I continued.
Still, nothing.
Then, without a word, Voder slowly stood up.
"I'm going back to my room, Henry. You should sleep too—it's late." His voice was calm, but his mind was clearly elsewhere.
And with that, he left.
I sat there, exhaling slowly.
Maybe my words had shocked him. Maybe he just needed time to process it.
But I trusted him. I knew he wouldn't betray Alaric.
Because if he did...
Then I was the one in danger.
In my head, I could already picture Kali sharpening a knife, her grin maniacal as she loomed over me.
"Henry... oh, Henry... did you really think you could just casually reveal Alaric's secret without consequences?!"
"I CAN ALREADY SEE IT! SHE'S GOING TO SLICE MY THROAT WHILE LAUGHING LIKE A PSYCHOPATH!"
I shuddered.
Dear gods, let's hope it doesn't come to that.

...
Alaric's POV
The university garden was the perfect place for a peaceful picnic. The sky was clear, the breeze was light, and the sun shone just enough to warm our backs without making us sweat.
Kali and I sat comfortably on a blue picnic blanket, surrounded by fresh fruit, crisp vegetables, sandwiches, and an assortment of homemade snacks I had painstakingly prepared.
"This is amazing!" Kali practically moaned in delight as she devoured a cheese sandwich, her eyes shimmering with appreciation.
I chuckled. "Eat as much as you want, Kali. I made this for you. I knew you'd finish everything anyway."
Kali gasped dramatically, clutching the sandwich to her chest. "Really?! No take-backs, Alaric! I'll eat every last crumb!"
As I watched her ravenously tear through another sandwich, she suddenly paused—her eyes darting past me.
"Uh-oh. Six o'clock, incoming. Looks like someone's about to charge at you again," she muttered, chewing hastily.
I didn't even need to turn around to know who she meant. I could already smell his cedarwood scent.
Sure enough, when I finally turned, there he was—Voder, storming towards us with a deep scowl, his hands suspiciously hidden behind his back.
"What now?" I groaned, looking at Kali. "What does he want this time? Ruin our picnic?"
"Maybe he's here to tell us that picnicking isn't 'Alpha behavior.'" Kali snickered.
I sighed. "Then he should mind his own business."
By the time Voder reached us, he was staring right at me, expression unreadable.
"Well?" I huffed. "You're here now. Speak."
Voder didn't say a word. He just kept staring.
"If you're just here to be a nuisance, leave." I grabbed an apple, ready to take a bite—
—when suddenly—
A bouquet of flowers was shoved directly into my face.
I blinked.
"What the—?!" I recoiled, staring at the flowers in sheer disbelief.
Voder was offering me flowers.
Huh?!
"Hey!" I sputtered, eyes wide. "Do I look dead to you?! Why are you giving me flowers?!"
Voder exhaled sharply, dragging a hand down his face, looking like he was debating his life choices.
"They're for you," he grumbled.
I eyed the bouquet suspiciously. "And what exactly am I supposed to do with them?"
"Just take them!" Voder snapped, shoving them against my chest.
I had no choice but to accept them.
I looked down at the flowers in my hands, completely baffled.
"What kind of nonsense is this?! He storms in here like he's about to start a fight, then suddenly hands me flowers?! What game is he playing?!" I hissed to Kali.
Beside me, Kali gasped dramatically, then leaned over and whispered, "This is a test. First one to blush, loses."
I shot her a death glare, and she simply smirked before taking another bite of her sandwich.
Then, as if this whole thing wasn't strange enough, Voder awkwardly cleared his throat.
"...What's your favorite flower?" he asked, gruffly, as if he had to force the words out.
I blinked again. "...Huh?"
This was too much. Just yesterday, he treated me like I was barely worth his time, and now he wanted to know my favorite flower?!
Was he sick?!
"I'll answer for him," Kali chimed in cheerfully. "His favorite flowers are blue peonies. Rare, hard to find, super fancy."
"Kali!" I hissed.
"What?! He asked, I answered!" She grinned.
Voder simply nodded, expression unreadable. "Alright. Wait for tomorrow."
Then, just as abruptly as he arrived, he turned on his heel and left.
I sat there, staring at the flowers in my hands, completely thrown off by the whole situation.
Kali, on the other hand, was grinning like she had just won the lottery.
"AHA! I KNEW IT!" she cried out triumphantly.
I groaned. "Knew what?!"
"Voder is totally into you!" She wiggled her eyebrows. "Come on, a guy doesn't just hand out flowers for no reason."
I glared at her. "Shut up. He's probably just messing with me. Like you said, maybe it's a game—first one to get flustered loses."
Kali smirked devilishly. "Then make him blush first."
"What?!" I choked.
"Go on, fluster him! Give him a taste of his own medicine!" She laughed, clapping her hands.
I groaned, rubbing my temples. "I don't have time for this."
But as I looked down at the flowers, I couldn't help but take a small sniff.
...They actually smelled really nice.
For some reason, it made my chest feel a little lighter.
Kali cackled.
"Look at you! Smiling while sniffing the flowers!" she teased. "Hey, do you think if Voder smelled your scent, he'd get all weak in the knees? You know, 'cause of pheromones?"
"KALI!" I shouted, face heating up, while she laughed hysterically.
...
...
...
The next day, Kali and I were resting on the open field of the university, catching our breaths after a brutal anatomy lecture. My brain still felt like it was overheating, and I was just about ready to nap right there on the grass.
For once, my life felt peaceful.
But of course, that didn't last long.
Because then... I caught a familiar scent.
Oh, you have got to be kidding me.
I groaned internally, already knowing exactly who it was.
And sure enough—
Voder.
Striding toward me with purpose, hands hidden behind his back like some kind of suspicious villain.
Kali grinned wickedly beside me. "Oh my, here comes your Alpha again, Alaric."
"He is not my Alpha!" I snapped.
But before I could even process this ridiculous situation, he was standing in front of me.
Wordlessly, he extended a bouquet of blue peonies.
"For you, Alaric," he muttered, still refusing to make eye contact.
I immediately stood up, turning to face him head-on.
"Alright, what's your deal?!" I demanded. "Why are you doing this, Voder? Are you messing with me?!"
Kali snickered beside me, leaning closer. "Just let yourself be played with already, Alaric."
I shot her a glare so sharp that she instantly looked away, laughing to herself.
With an irritated sigh, I turned my attention back to Voder.
"Be honest, Voder," I pressed. "What is this? Why are you giving me flowers?"
He exhaled sharply, then shoved the bouquet into my hands like he was getting rid of a bomb.
"Just take it, alright?! No more questions!" he grumbled.
I squinted at him, not buying it.
And yet... his gaze was still avoiding me.
Curious, I took a step to the side, moving directly into his line of sight.
And immediately, he turned his head away.
I moved to the other side.
He dodged again.
I narrowed my eyes.
"Voder," I said slowly.
"What?!" he snapped. "Are you crazy, Alaric?!"
"I'm crazy?! You're the one running around giving people flowers for no reason!"
Voder clenched his jaw, looking frustrated beyond belief. "Look, just... wait for your flowers again tomorrow."
And then, before I could say anything else, he spun around and ran away.
He RAN.
Like he was escaping a crime scene.
I stared after him, completely flabbergasted.
"What... what is wrong with him?!" I muttered, still holding the damn bouquet.
Then, I turned to Kali—
Only to find her pinching her own arm, trembling like she was about to explode.
Her face was contorted in an obvious attempt to hold in laughter.
"Hey—HEY, KALI!" I snapped.
She broke.
"WHY AM I THE ONE BLUSHING?!" she burst out laughing, doubling over as tears formed in her eyes.
I groaned, running a hand down my face. "For the love of all things holy—"
...
...
...
And another day...
As I waited for Kali to return from the bathroom after our grueling PE class, I found myself chatting with a group of Beta and Alpha males who had gathered around me.
"Alaric, how do you run so fast?!" one of the Beta males asked, eyes wide with admiration.
I chuckled. "Probably just training?"
"Man, you never fail to impress!" another Alpha male praised. "Even as an Alpha myself, I have to say—I respect your skill."
"Yeah! If you were an Omega female, I'd already have claimed you by now," another Alpha joked, grinning. "What a waste!"
I laughed, rolling my eyes. "You guys are crazy."
Then, one of the Alpha males squinted at me.
"Hey, even though we're in PE class, you never take off your jacket. Aren't you hot in that thing?"
The moment he asked, I froze.
"Ah... well..." I stammered, suddenly feeling exposed.
Before I could stop him, he reached for my zipper, fingers already gripping it—
Only for another hand to suddenly grab his wrist.
And it wasn't mine.
A heavy silence fell over the group.
The air around us shifted.
"V-Voder?" one of the Alpha males stammered, his voice laced with fear.
Sure enough, Voder stood right there, his presence radiating authority. His grip was firm, his expression cold and unreadable.
"Who..." he spoke slowly, dangerously, "gave you permission to take off Alaric's jacket?"
His voice was calm—but the kind of calm that made your survival instincts scream.
The Alpha and Beta males didn't answer.
They bolted.
Like scared rabbits.
I watched them flee, then turned to Voder, scowling.
"Seriously?!" I snapped. "You just scared away my classmates!"
Voder ignored me, still frowning as he reached for my jacket—
And zipped it up.
Firmly.
"Hey!" I yelped.
"Keep this zipped. And don't let anyone else touch you." His voice was gruff, almost like... a command.
I narrowed my eyes. "You are so weird, Voder." I smirked. "Is this your master plan? Drive me insane?"
"No," he replied, dead serious.
That... wasn't the answer I expected.
Before I could question him, I caught a glimpse of something behind him—and my curiosity piqued.
I leaned a little to peek over his shoulder.
Voder immediately followed my gaze. "What?"
"Where is it?"
"Where is what?"
"The peony flowers."
For the first time, Voder actually looked surprised.
He scratched his cheek. "The shop I usually buy from ran out of stock. That's actually why I came to find you. So while I wait for them to restock, tell me—what other flowers do you like?"
I blinked.
I blinked again.
Then I laughed.
"Are you serious?!" I asked, looking at him like he'd lost his mind.
Voder simply nodded, completely straight-faced, as if this was the most normal conversation in the world.
Voder.
What. Are. You. Doing?!
"Tch. Stop messing with me, Voder!" I grumbled, crossing my arms.
Voder simply let out a deep sigh and scratched the back of his head, looking almost... confused.
Then, without another word, he turned around and walked away.
And for some reason...
I felt guilty.
"Voder!" I called after him.
He paused but didn't turn around.
"...Thanks for earlier," I muttered.
He didn't reply—
But he raised his right hand, giving me a silent wave before continuing on his way.
A few moments later—
"Oh? Why are you smiling like that? Who were you staring at? And why are you blushing?"
I nearly jumped out of my skin.
Kali had returned, arms crossed, a knowing grin stretching across her face.
I scowled. "I wasn't smiling! And I am not blushing!"
Kali gasped dramatically. "Oh my god, you totally were!"
"I WAS NOT!"
"You totally were."
"FOR THE LOVE OF—"
What is Voder's deal?!

Voder's POV
It was already past midnight, and here I was—sitting in Henry's room, both of us unable to sleep.
Henry was buried in his books, furiously studying something about Omega behavior, while I...
Well, I was lost in thought.
"Henry," I muttered, rubbing my temples, "why is it that no matter what I do, Alaric just seems to get more annoyed with me? I did exactly what you suggested—I gave him flowers because that's what Omegas supposedly like."
Henry sighed, flipping a page. "That's what the books say... but maybe Alaric's brain just doesn't work like a normal Omega?"
I groaned. "Clearly."
Henry paused, setting his book down. "Wait—how exactly did you give him the flowers?"
I blinked. "I... shoved them in his face until he had no choice but to take them."
Henry facepalmed.
"Bro! That's why! That's NOT how you do it! You're supposed to offer them gently and let him take them himself!"
I frowned. "That's how it works?"
"YES!" Henry exclaimed. "Have you never seen someone give flowers before?"
I crossed my arms. "Tch. How would I know?! No one ever taught me how to give an Omega flowers. You know Alpha males like me don't offer flowers. We just claim Omegas right away. Not like this stuff being romantic."
Henry narrowed his eyes, studying me.
"Wait a second..." he said slowly. "Why are you even doing all this? Is it because you found out he's an Omega male? Is that the only reason you're suddenly trying to get closer to him?"
I hesitated.
"Yes. And no."
Henry's eyes narrowed further. "Explain."
I exhaled, staring at the ceiling.
"I'll admit it, Henry," I said. "Back when I didn't know Alaric was an Omega male—when I thought he was just another Alpha—he already... stood out to me."
Henry sat up straighter. "Wait, what?!"
I nodded. "He's... different from everyone else. Memorable. And because of that, I wanted to get his attention. That's why I always teased him, annoyed him—because I wanted him to see me. To talk to me normally, without having to be formal or afraid like everyone else is with me."
Henry's jaw dropped. "Wait, wait, wait. Are you saying..."
I sighed. "Yeah. I've liked Alaric for a long time."
Henry gasped dramatically. "Brother! You actually have feelings?!"
I rolled my eyes. "Shut up, Henry."
"But—Alaric?!" He still looked stunned.
"Yes, Alaric." I huffed. "Because in a world where everyone treats me like royalty, where no one dares to challenge me—he does."
Henry was silent for a moment.
Then, he grinned. "You know... now that you say it, I have noticed that whenever you're around Alaric, you stop acting like a responsible Alpha Prince. It's like you become... I don't know—unhinged."
I chuckled. "Yeah. He brings that out of me. When we argue, when we tease each other—I forget that I'm an Alpha Prince. I forget about my duties and responsibilities. With him, I can just be normal."
Henry stared at me for a long moment before dramatically placing a hand on his chest.
"Wow. That's deep."
I threw a pillow at him.
"But," I continued, "now that I know he's an Omega male, I feel like I finally have a chance."
Henry raised an eyebrow. "Oh? And how's that going for you?"
I groaned, burying my face in my hands. "Not great. I think we've spent so many years arguing that he doesn't take me seriously anymore. I try to be nice, and he just thinks I'm playing with him."
Henry snorted. "Yeah, well, that's your fault. You conditioned him to think you're always up to something. Now he doesn't know how to process your kindness."
I sighed. "Yeah. But I need him to understand. Even though he thinks being an Omega male is the worst possible fate, I want him to know that to me, he's still important."
Henry smiled. "Damn, brother. If Alaric doesn't fall for you after all this, I don't know what to tell you."
I scoffed. "So? What should I do next? Should I just force him? Maybe mark him so he stops being so stubborn?"
Henry's eyes widened. "WHAT?! NO! If you do that, Alaric will kill you!"
I laughed. "Relax. I'm joking."
Henry sighed in relief. "Good. Because for a second, I thought you actually lost your mind."
I ran a hand through my hair, frustrated. "It's just... no matter what I do, I feel like he won't believe me."
"Then keep doing it," Henry said simply. "Just keep being nice until he gets so used to it that he starts craving it."
I scoffed. "Tch. Omega males are complicated."
Henry smirked. "Welcome to the world of romance."
I sighed, shaking my head.
But one thing was clear—
I wasn't giving up until Alaric sees me seriously.
...
...
...
Henry's POV
The university library was my kingdom.
And by that, I meant that I had taken over an entire table, which was now buried under a mountain of books—so much so that one might assume multiple people were sitting here.
Nope. Just me.
I was still determined to further my knowledge, and today's subject of interest?
Male Omega pregnancy and their prowess.
...
I was completely immersed in my reading when a voice suddenly called out.
"Henry?"
I looked up to find Theron standing beside me.
"Oh? Theron? What are you doing here?" I asked, setting my book down. "And I notice you are always here as well whenever I go to this library."
Theron—the son of my father's right-hand man.
He was an Alpha male capable of matching Voder's prowess.
If there were a second choice for the position of Alpha King after Voder, it would definitely be him.
However...
Theron was mischievous and stubborn.
And that's exactly what I didn't like about him.
"I was looking for a book on laws and politics, but then I saw your table covered in books and figured you had taken over the whole library," he chuckled. "Maybe the book I'm looking for is on your table."
I laughed. "Ah, yeah, I get carried away sometimes."
Theron leaned over slightly, peering at the title of my book.
"...Omega males?" He raised an eyebrow. "You're studying them?"
"For future reference," I replied with a grin.
Theron scoffed. "Why bother? They don't even exist."
I smirked. "But what if they do?" I tapped my book. "See, according to this, when an Alpha male with exceptionally high-quality genes mates with an Omega male, it will always give birth to a powerful Omega male child. Additionally, it says here that when a normal Alpha male mates with an Omega male, they form a new breed called Sigma male. It's like a rogue Alpha male who likes to be independent and self-reliant."
"So it depends on the Alpha males genes then?" Theron blinked. "And that's... a good thing because...?"
"In order to increase the population of Omega males since they have gone extinct," I said.
I leaned forward, my eyes glinting with excitement as I spoke.
"And did you know," I said, lowering my voice like I was revealing a secret, "that naturally, Omega males are more powerful than Alpha males?"
Theron raised an eyebrow. "Excuse me?"
I grinned, flipping open one of my books. "In terms of raw power, Omega males surpass Alpha males. It's just never been acknowledged."
Theron leaned in, intrigued but skeptical. "How the hell does that make sense?"
I tapped my book. "It's all about genetic specialization. Alpha males are strong, sure—but their power is aggressive, physical, territorial. It's external. But Omega males? Their power is internal."
Theron scoffed. "What, like mind tricks?"
I smirked. "More like biological control. They have a unique energy—an ability that affects not only themselves but also those around them. That's why their pheromones can completely break an Alpha's self-control. It's why they were so rare and feared. They didn't need brute strength to dominate—Alphas just naturally submitted to them."
Theron sat back, processing. "So you're saying... they were dangerous?"
"Not dangerous," I corrected. "Influential. They were the true pillars of balance in the hierarchy. Alphas fought wars, Betas stabilized society, but Omegas? They were the ones who kept everything in check."
Theron was silent for a moment.
Then he let out a low whistle.
"Damn," he muttered. "And here I thought they were just... fragile."
I grinned. "Exactly. That's what everyone thinks. That's why they were hunted down—because their power wasn't understood."
Theron smirked, leaning back. "Well, if they're really that powerful, then I kinda get why Alpha Kings didn't want them around."
I sighed. "Yeah... but what a waste. Imagine if Omega males had been protected instead of erased? The world would be very different."
Theron chuckled. "You sound like you're planning a revolution, Henry."
I smirked. "Maybe I am.
"Well," he mused, "Alpha Kings won't be happy when Omega males start running the world."
I chuckled, flipping another page of my book. "Oh, absolutely. If Omega males came back in full force, they'd eventually clash with the Alphas. It's inevitable."
Theron raised an eyebrow. "Why? Wouldn't Omegas just... I don't know, keep their power hidden like before?"
I shook my head. "That's the thing. They were erased precisely because they weren't allowed to rise. If they return, they won't make the same mistake twice."
I leaned forward, grinning. "Imagine this: For centuries, Alpha Kings controlled everything—governments, military power, even who gets to be born. But Omega males? They don't fight with brute strength. They influence. They manipulate. They build empires without lifting a single weapon."
Theron whistled lowly. "Damn. You're saying Omegas could overthrow Alphas just by existing?"
I smirked. "Exactly. The moment society realizes their worth, the balance of power shifts. And Alpha Kings? They'd never allow that. They'd see Omega males as a threat to their rule."
Theron rubbed his chin. "So... war?"
I sighed. "More like... political chaos first. Imagine an Alpha King discovering that an Omega male was more respected than him. That his people trusted the Omega more. What do you think he'd do?"
Theron grinned. "Destroy him."
"Exactly," I said. "But here's the catch—you can't 'destroy' an idea. If even one Omega male rises to power, more will follow. And once that happens... well, say goodbye to Alpha dominance."
Theron let out a slow, thoughtful hum. "Damn. I feel like it is the end for us Alpha males to rule the world."
I chuckled. "Me too."
Theron tapped his fingers against the table, a smirk creeping onto his face.
"But you know," he mused, leaning in slightly, "the most interesting thing... is figuring out how to control an Omega male."
I raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh? And how do you think that's done?"
Theron chuckled. "You're the expert, Henry. You tell me."
I smirked, flipping through my book. "Well, biologically, fully awakened Omega males are naturally resistant to control. That's why they were feared. Their instincts don't allow them to be fully dominated—unless certain conditions are met."
Theron leaned forward, clearly hooked. "And those conditions are...?"
I grinned, tapping the page.
"First, pheromone synchronization. An Alpha male with a high genetic quality can influence an Omega male's natural instincts—but only if the Omega willingly allows it."
Theron tilted his head. "So, not by force?"
I shook my head. "Not exactly. Force can break an Omega, but it won't control them. In fact, it'll only make them resist more. True control only happens when the Omega chooses to submit."
Theron raised an eyebrow. "And how does an Alpha make an Omega male 'choose' submission?"
I smirked. "By making them crave it."
Theron chuckled. "Oh, this is getting dangerously interesting."
I continued, grinning. "Second, emotional dependence. The strongest control an Alpha can have over an Omega male isn't physical—it's psychological. If an Omega male trusts, loves, or depends on an Alpha... they will naturally surrender to their influence."
Theron whistled lowly. "So, basically... make them fall in love for you?"
I nodded. "Exactly. You see, Theron, the biggest misconception about Omegas is that they're weak. They're not. They can be the most powerful beings in existence—but only if they have something to fight for."
Theron leaned back, amused. "So the ultimate way to control an Omega male..."
"Is to make them want you first." I finished, smirking. "To love you unconditionally."
He grinned. "Damn. No wonder Alpha Kings were so afraid of them."
I chuckled, returning to my book.
"And they should be."
Theron smirked, his eyes glinting with curiosity.
"And if I get that Omega male to want me?" he asked, his tone laced with amusement. "Would that mean I could order him to do anything I want? Especially if that Omega male is, say... an Omega King?"
I leaned back, crossing my arms. "Ah... now that's the real question, isn't it?"
Theron raised an eyebrow. "And? What's the answer?"
I grinned. "Well, it's not that simple. Just because a King Omega male wants you doesn't mean they're suddenly mindless and obedient."
Theron chuckled. "But it helps, doesn't it?"
I smirked. "It helps a lot."
I tapped the open book in front of me. "If an Omega male becomes attached to an Alpha, their instincts will naturally make them prioritize that Alpha's needs and desires—even if they don't fully realize it."
Theron's smirk grew. "So, you're saying... if I play my cards right, an Omega King could end up following my orders?"
I let out a chuckle. "In theory? Yes. But only if you do it right."
Theron hummed in amusement. "And what's the best way to do that?"
I tilted my head, grinning. "The same way you tame anything wild. Make them trust you. Make them crave you. Make them think it's their choice."
Theron raised an eyebrow. "And if that Omega King is stubborn?"
I smirked. "Then you make them realize they'd rather be with you than against you. That's the difference between forcing power and earning it."
Theron leaned forward slightly, clearly entertained by the idea. "So... if an Alpha were to gain the loyalty of an Omega King, would that make the Alpha the true ruler?"
I let out a low chuckle. "If an Alpha truly understands the power of an Omega, then yes. Because an Omega will never betray the one they've chosen. And once they do... they'll move the entire world for you. In reality, that Alpha male will be like the puppeteer of the Omega king."
Theron smirked, clearly liking the answer. "Interesting. Very interesting."
I chuckled, turning back to my book.
"Careful, Theron. You sound like you're planning something."
Theron leaned back in, his smirk never fading.
"So, in the end," he mused, tapping his fingers against the table, "the real power isn't with the Alpha Kings... it's with the Omega males who choose their Alpha."
I grinned. "Exactly. The moment an Omega male decides to stand by your side, you don't just gain a mate—you gain absolute influence."
Theron let out a low chuckle, his gaze dark with amusement.
"And if I were to find an Omega male... convince him that he needs me... bind him to me in every way possible..."
He trailed off, but I already knew what he was thinking.
I felt a shiver run down my spine.
"Then you'd be untouchable," I muttered, closing my book.
Silence settled between us.
Theron's smirk widened.
"...I think I need to start looking for an Omega male."
And with that, he stood up, giving me one last knowing glance before walking away—
Leaving me sitting there, gripping my book a little too tightly.
Because for some reason...
I had a very bad feeling about this.
I should NOT have told Theron about this.
Like, seriously. What the hell was I thinking?!
I felt my soul leave my body as I watched him casually stride out of the library, probably already plotting how to use this information for his own twisted amusement.
"Me and my unstoppable mouth..." I muttered, pressing my hands against my face.
I slammed my book shut, gripping my hair in pure horror.
If a war starts because of this... IT'S DEFINITELY MY FAULT!
I could already see it now—
Headlines across the kingdom:
"Alpha Kings Outraged as Omega Males Rise to Power—Civil War Imminent!"
"Unrest in the Territories: Mysterious Alpha Male Spotted Seducing High-Ranking Omegas!"
"Theron: Mastermind or Menace? The Alpha Who Broke the Power Hierarchy!"
And the worst one?
"The Omega Uprising—All Because Henry Couldn't Keep His Mouth Shut!"
I AM THE PROBLEM!
I let out a groan of pure regret, burying my face in my hands.
"WHY AM I LIKE THIS?! WHENEVER I GIVE OUT INFORMATION, I CAN'T HELP MYSELF BUT TO SPEAK EVERYTHING!"
I was too excited about my research. I got carried away. And now?
THERON HAS INFO THAT COULD DESTROY THE WORLD.
And what's worse? He looked way too excited about it.
I could already picture him standing in front of an Omega King, smirking like the devil himself and whispering to his ears...
"You feel it, don't you? The instinct. The craving. You know you're mine. I want you to do everything I say and I will give you everything you want..."
I HAVE CREATED A MONSTER.
I needed to fix this—fast.
I shot up from my seat, nearly knocking over my entire mountain of books. I had no time to clean up.
I needed to find Theron before he started a power shift that would trigger a literal war.
"ARGHHH!" I groaned, grabbing my head. "WHY AM I LIKE THIS?!"
This is it.
This is how I go down in history.
Not as a scholar.
Not as a genius researcher.
But as the dumbass who accidentally triggered a kingdom-wide conflict because he couldn't shut up.
I sprinted out of the library.
Wait?
What if he finds out about Alaric? Oh no!
I should go to Alaric to warn him!
Or maybe I should talk to Voder about this stuff first?
But, I had to stop Theron before it's too late.
I don't know what to do!
Arrgh!
