Cherreads

Chapter 27 - It seems we were destined to meet again.

"Umm... Looks like we meet again huh."

Genta chuckled, when he found Kaiira in front of him, on one of the canteen chairs, eating calmly and gracefully. Her turned his head, looking at Genta with dim eyes as usual, it seemed that Genta had gotten used to it.

Genta put down his food, sat beside her, he parted his lips wide.

"Can I sit here?"

Kaiira was silent, then her head nodded slowly, her lips curved slightly. The attack came to Genta's heart, the feeling flowed in his blood, his cheeks turned red, then he looked away again.

"Genta?"

Genta gasped, he turned his head again, but instead of the redness on his cheeks fading, it got worse, spreading to his ears. Kaiira tilted her head in confusion, she opened her mouth again, continued her words.

"That's your name, right?"

Genta was silent, he started to clear his throat several times, trying to calm his heart which felt like it was almost jumping out.

"Y-Yes, you still remember it turns out."

Kaiira nodded, then her attention was diverted again to the neglected food, trying to eat and devour it again.

Genta smiled, his right hand supporting his cheek, watching Kaiira eat her food with some strange expressions visible, as if she was not used to some of the food here.

"This is confusing, why do I always meet you? Could it be that we are soulmates?"

Kaiira was silent, her eyes gazing at her food, but then she chewed again, continuing to eat.

"May be."

It was a reaction he didn't expect, it should have embarrassed him, but instead it hit Genta back, his cheeks turned bright red, but then he cleared his throat softly, trying to hide it.

"Ah... Emm... I see."

Genta continued eating, but several times his attention and eyes glanced towards Kaiira several times, as if he wanted to find a gap to get to know her.

"Oh yeah... By the way I'm thankful for you, thanks to you I might know where my friends went."

Kaiira turned her head, then nodded slowly, her hand raised to give a thumbs up, a pose that was very inappropriate and in contrast to her flat expression.

Genta lowered his head, playing with his food with a spoon, stirring it, pressing it, his eyes glanced at Kaiira several times, making Kaiira confused by his strange behavior.

"I... am a little confused as to how you know that... I hope it's just a coincidence. Hey, tell me, it's all just a coincidence, right? The thing you showed me?"

Kaiira nodded quickly, her innocent expression added to the impression that made Genta relieved. He sighed, then smiled softly at Kaiira.

"Sorry I doubted you before, I didn't mean to."

Kaiira's hand reached out, pushing away the clean dirty plates on the table, she then turned her head, giving a thin, gentle smile,

"It's okay."

Hearing her answer, Genta smiled widely, the feeling of exploiting her grew stronger, he rubbed his chest, banishing all the feelings that had disturbed his heart.

He stood up quickly, his hands clenched, his gaze fixed on Kaiira with burning, whether consciously or not, he approached, gripping Kaiira's hand quite tightly. Suddenly, attention was drawn directly to them, including several teachers around there.

"Thank you Kaiira, then I'll go first, see you later Kaiira."

He stepped away, waving his hand, his beautiful smile just blooming. His broad figure slowly faded, replaced by the crowd coming from the direction of the corridor.

Kaiira was pensive, her eyes slightly widened there, whether because of surprise or something more complicated, but what was clear was... Her hands were raised up, holding her chest which felt like... Warm.

"I feel like there's something wrong with the little boy the teacher was talking about... Is it possible that this has something to do with it... But is it possible?"

Genta ruffled his hair in frustration, then weakly he threw himself on a chair, in the corner of the street. He looked up, seeing the sky with a wide expanse of clouds.

"How do I find that little boy?"

He continued to look at the sky, seeing the thin clouds moving slowly. He took a few deep breaths. Without a warning, Genta caught the figure just like that, preventing him from looking at the sky.

Genta gasped, his eyes widened when he saw the figure of a familiar girl, who he had met by chance from time to time. Her face was so flat, but it hid as much elegance as she could show.

"K-Kaiira... W-What's wrong? Why are you here?"

Genta moved to the side, keeping some distance between them, his face heating up with a clear blush.

"Only want."

"B-But you know, it's still class time, right? Why did you go out?"

Kaiira squinted, then she tilted her head, a little confused by Genta's idea. Genta was awkward, froze with the situation for a moment.

"I just... Want to accompany you."

Like an electric shock that stung his feelings, he gasped, his cheeks heating up again, when the girl in front of his eyes gave a calm expression, unaware that she had shaken Genta's feelings.

Genta looked away, his face red, spreading to his ears, his gaze unable to meet the girl who had just made him like this.

"You can't say that to another guy."

"They could have misunderstood."

Kaiira kept watching, then she nodded her head gently, as if understanding it, even though she didn't fully understand what it meant.

"It's okay, you don't need to accompany me, I can find my own friends, besides I don't want to disturb your study time, you better go back to class."

Genta pulled both of his legs up onto the chair, hugging them just like that, his gaze wandering, watching the vehicles passing by.

"I can't do that... Besides, Genta looks so lonely, if possible I want to help."

Genta turned to Kaiira, who was still standing by his side, he sighed and chose to give up.

"Thank you Kaiira, I'm so happy to meet you, do you want to be my girlfriend?"

Kaiira turned her head, her brow furrowed as if she didn't really understand what Genta meant.

"Umm... You're welcome Genta, and I don't know why you want to make me your lover? And... What is a lover?"

Genta laughed softly, his hand raised to ruffle Kaiira, and her reaction was surprising, this was the first time he had seen Kaiira's reaction look... A little angry and disturbed.

"It seems like you really were raised well, huh, you don't even know what a lover is like."

"Maybe I'm just not interested, I know what a lover is like, but I don't really know why other people do that."

Genta stood up, he stretched his stiff body, then he turned his head and let his eyes meet the girl's.

"I will tell you my problem, but I'm not sure you will believe me completely, I just hope... You can trust me, okay?"
