" Have something to drink at least, even though you don't want to eat," I say, offering Cas's mother a glass of spring water.
She keeps on staring outside the window, rocking back and forth in her rocking chair, her lips trembling as she tries to bite down tears.
She's been like this since I was thrown out of the mansion. She wouldn't eat or say anything and I completely feel sorry for her. She's been through a lot. From the death of her husband to Adena's death and now Cas's soon-to-be execution.
I've heard her howl at Cas multiple times, warning him to stop what he's doing but Cas never listens. She had thrown him out of the house once when he returned home, drenched in blood and bruised from head to toe.
I had to take him home and treat his bruises which took almost a week to heal.
" He'd be killed today," She says, in a voice devoid of emotions.
I place the glass of water on the table before her and try as much as possible not to show any sign of anxiety.
