Tim picked up his suit jacket. "Cancel all the meetings I have," he ordered his P.A while constantly checking his wrist watch.
Seraphina's school will be over soon, and he wants to pick her up.
His P.A stared at him like he had lost his mind. "The meeting in the next twenty minutes is very important," she reminded him cautiously. "It's with the board and our international investors. They flew in specifically for this—"
"Shift it to tomorrow," Tim cut her off, buttoning his cufflinks with sharp, impatient movements.
"Sir, they won't take that well." She hesitated. "They might reconsider their stake in—"
"I don't care." His tone was final, accepting no argument. "We can have the meeting tonight, just not now. If they can't wait, then it's not important,"
His P.A gaped at him, searching his face for some kind of explanation. This wasn't Tim Carver. Tim never postponed meetings. Tim never put anything before business.
