Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: First Date

After weeks of hanging out, Bella and Donald finally decided it was time for their first official date. Bella felt a mix of excitement and nerves. She wanted everything to be perfect.

"Okay, what do you wanna do?" Donald texted her one afternoon.

"How about dinner and a movie?" Bella replied, biting her lip as she hit send.

"Sounds great! I know just the place. I'll pick you up at 6?" Donald texted back.

"Perfect time! Can't wait!" Bella replied, feeling butterflies in her stomach.

The day finally arrived, and Bella spent hours getting ready. She picked out a cute outfit and her favorite jeans and a bright top that made her feel confident. She even curled her hair a little, making sure it looked just right. When she looked in the mirror, she thought, Okay, I look cute!

At 5:45, she heard a knock on the door. Her heart raced as she opened it. There stood Donald, looking handsome in a casual shirt and baggy jeans.

"Hey! You look amazing!" he said, grinning.

"Thanks! You too!" Bella replied, feeling her cheeks flush. She could already tell this was gonna be fun.

As they walked to his car, Bella felt a little nervous. "So, where are we going?" she asked, trying to keep the conversation flowing.

"There's this awesome burger place I love. They have the best fries!" Donald said, opening the car door for her.

"Yum! I'm so in!" Bella said, smiling as she hopped into the car.

On the way to the restaurant, Donald played their favorite Album (Love damini by Burna boy. Bella sang along, and Donald joined in, making silly faces. "You have a great voice!" he laughed, pretending to be a judge on a talent show.

"Thanks! But I think yours is better!" Bella teased back, and they both laughed.

When they arrived at the burger place, the smell of grilled burgers filled the air. They found a cozy booth and settled in.

"What do you wanna order?" Donald asked, scanning the menu.

"I think I'm gonna get the cheeseburger and fries!" Bella said, her stomach growling.

"Good choice! I'll get the same," Donald replied with a grin.

When the food arrived, they dug in. Bella took a huge bite of her burger and exclaimed, "This is so good! Best burger ever!"

Donald laughed. "I told you! I'm a burger expert!" He took a bite and nodded in agreement.

As they ate, they talked about everything—school, friends, and their favorite movies. Bella loved how easy it was to talk to him.

Just then, Mike, Donald's teammate, walked in with some friends. He spotted them and came over. "Hey, lovebirds! What's going on?" he teased, grinning.

"Just having some amazing burgers!" Donald replied, rolling his eyes at Mike's teasing.

"Nice! Keep it up, man!" Mike said, giving Donald a fist bump. Then he turned to Bella, "You better keep him in line!"

"I'm trying!" Bella said, laughing.

After Mike left, Bella and Donald continued their date. Donald shared funny stories about his football practices, and Bella couldn't stop laughing.

"Okay, so there was this one time when Jake tried to show off and tripped over the ball!" Donald said, making a funny face.

"No way! What happened?" Bella asked, eyes wide with amusement.

"He fell flat on his face! It was hilarious!" Donald replied, laughing so hard he almost spilled his drink.

After finishing their meal, they decided to walk to the nearby movie theater. The night was warm, and the stars were shining brightly.

"Thanks for dinner! It was awesome!" Bella said, feeling happy.

"Anytime! I'm glad you had fun," Donald said, smiling down at her.

When they reached the theater, they bought tickets for a new action movie. Bella was excited because she loved action films. They found seats and settled in, sharing a big bucket of popcorn.

During the movie, Bella couldn't help but steal glances at Donald. He looked so focused on the screen, but every now and then, he'd look over at her and smile.

At one part of the movie, there was a huge explosion on screen. Bella jumped and accidentally spilled popcorn everywhere. "Oops! Sorry!" she giggled, trying to clean up the mess.

"Don't worry! I'll help!" Donald said, laughing as he reached for the spilled popcorn. He grabbed a handful and tossed it in the air like confetti. "Popcorn party!"

Bella burst out laughing. "You're such a dork!" she said, playfully nudging him.

As the movie continued, Bella felt more comfortable. She leaned a bit closer to Donald, and he didn't pull away. Instead, he smiled and even whispered a few funny comments about the movie.

After the movie ended, they walked out, both buzzing with excitement. "That was so good!" Bella said, smiling brightly.

"Right? I loved it! The action was crazy!" Donald replied. "I'm glad we went."

As they walked back to the car, Bella felt a wave of happiness wash over her. This was the best date ever, and she couldn't wait to do it again.

When they reached Bella's house, Donald parked the car and turned to her. "I had a great time tonight," he said, looking a bit shy.

"Me too! Thanks for everything!" Bella replied, her heart racing.

"Can I walk you to the door?" Donald asked, and Bella nodded, feeling a little nervous again.

As they walked up to the door, Bella felt her heart pounding. "So, um, do you wanna do this again sometime?" she asked, looking up at him.

"Definitely! I'd love to!" Donald said, smiling warmly.

"Great! I can't wait!" Bella said, feeling excited.

Before she could say anything else, Donald leaned in and gave her a quick hug. Bella felt warm and happy inside.

"Goodnight, Bella!" he said, stepping back.

"Goodnight, Donald!" she replied, waving as he walked back to his car.

As she closed the door, Bella couldn't stop smiling. She felt like she was floating. Her first date with Donald was a success, and she knew this was just the beginning of something special.

Later that night, Bella sat in her room, replaying the evening in her mind. She grabbed her phone and texted Sarah.

"Just got back from my date with Donald! It was amazing!" she typed, her fingers flying over the screen.

"OMG! Tell me everything!" Sarah replied almost instantly.

Bella smiled, excited to share the details. She spent the next half hour writing about every little moment and the burgers, the movie, the laughter, and the way Donald looked at her.

Finally, she put her phone down and lay back on her bed, feeling giddy. She couldn't wait to see him again. Maybe they could go to the beach or have another movie night. The possibilities seemed endless.

Just then, her brother Oliver knocked on the door. "Hey, Bella! How was your date?" he asked, poking his head in.

"It was awesome! We had so much fun!" Bella said, unable to hide her smile.

"Nice! Do you think you'll go out again?" Oliver asked, looking genuinely interested.

"Definitely! I really like him," Bella admitted, feeling her cheeks flush.

"Cool! Just don't forget about your little brother!" Oliver teased, giving her a playful nudge.

"Never! You're stuck with me!" Bella laughed.

As she settled into bed, Bella realized she was falling for Donald. He made her feel special and happy, and she couldn't wait to see where this new adventure would take them.
