Chapter 3 - chapter 3

Welcome to the Lord God Space. You may choose one of the following options as a novice benefit..."

After Tony Stark joined, Qi Yun began to pay him benefits. This was a rule set by the previous Chief God. Of course, Qi Yun could erase this rule, but in order to ensure Tony's safety, he didn't plan to do so for the time being.

If you want a horse to run, you have to let it eat grass first. Qi Yun hoped that Tony could become a "cow," eating grass and ultimately milking it.

Hearing the word "welfare," Tony's mouth twitched slightly. These items were given to others, and he hadn't expected that one day they would apply to him.

Benefit 1: High Life Recovery

Repairs the body and returns it to its conceptually optimal state, removing a variety of negative effects, including toxins.

Benefit 2: Genetic Physical Enhancement

Repairs and stimulates the dormant genes in the body, providing a positive reinforcement to the user. The strengthening effect depends on the gene level and genetic attributes. This immediately made Tony think of Captain America, whose body had been transformed by the Super Soldier Serum. If he could achieve that level of enhancement, Tony was certain that he could escape with Ethan. However, the damage caused by the shrapnel in his body might be significantly reduced.

Benefit 3: Elemental Affinity

Increases the user's affinity and sensitivity to elements, giving them the ability to perceive and control elements. (This option is for those with extraordinary intelligence, which Tony knew he possessed. He couldn't help but think of Dr. Strange, whose mastery over mystical energies was a result of his unparalleled intellect.)

Benefit 4: Mechanic's Career Change Notes

Provides the user with an opportunity to change jobs and become a mechanic. After completing the specified tasks, the user will be evaluated, and if successful, they will take on the role of a mechanic. This option piqued Tony's interest. After all, he was already one of the most brilliant engineers in the world, but now there was a chance to gain even more knowledge.

Looking at the lines of text listed in the Lord God Space, Tony felt a surge of excitement in his heart. No wonder he was excited. These four benefits were no trivial matter. Many rich people, even those with wealth far exceeding his own, would exchange everything just for good health. But for Tony, these benefits were extremely relevant.

The first option could immediately solve his ongoing life-threatening problem. He wouldn't have to carry around an arc reactor anymore, something that constantly drained his energy.

The second option reminded Tony of Captain America. If he could undergo an enhancement like Steve Rogers, then escaping this situation, even with the shrapnel in his chest, seemed possible. His mind raced through the possibilities. Could this kind of enhancement allow him to escape from these terrorists with Ethan?

The third and fourth benefits clearly leaned toward the future, but as Tony read through the description of the third option, he saw "extraordinary intelligence" at the end. That's when he realized he was exactly what they were referring to.

But after seeing the fourth option, Tony was certain it was the one he should choose. The mechanic's career change offered something that he couldn't pass up.

After making a decisive choice, Tony found a floating and rotating chip appearing in his consciousness. It was likely the Mechanic's Job Change Manual.

Before Tony could study it, the final process of the Lord God Space began.

[After the selection of benefits is completed, the semi-digital auxiliary combat system is activated.]

[Warning: This system is only for auxiliary purposes. If fatal organs such as the heart and brain are damaged, even those deemed "qualified" will die.]

[The first mission will start in 24 hours. Please pay attention to the time...]

24 hours! Tony's eyes widened. He didn't expect this. If he left this place suddenly, Ethan would be dead! There was no way those damn terrorists would let the doctor who had saved them just walk out.

"Lord God! What is the speed of time when I'm on a mission?" Tony asked quickly.

[The time flow rate will be determined by the difference between the original world and the mission world.]

"Request to postpone the mission time!" Tony said immediately after confirming that time wouldn't stop during the mission. If it weren't for Ethan, Tony would have died in the attack. He couldn't let Ethan die because of him.

[Privilege 1/1 for those with qualified specialties. Would you like to use it?]

"Use!" Tony said decisively. He was thankful for his intellect, as it provided him with this one-time privilege.

[After the privileges have been used, the first mission will start in 7 days. Please pay attention to the time...]

Seven days. Seven days to figure this out! Tony wiped the sweat from his forehead. He needed to find a way to get both himself and Ethan out of this place.

On the other side, Qi Yun withdrew his gaze after watching Tony complete several key actions. He had done his best to be benevolent and righteous. If Tony couldn't survive, it wouldn't be his fault. After all, he was the Lord God, not a babysitter.

Tony glanced at the tools and parts scattered on the table. Seven days was an impossible time frame to build what he needed. There was only one option left. He turned his attention to the mechanic's code.

The chip rotated, then exploded into small light spots. These light spots merged and displayed text on Tony's retina.

[Mechanic Job Change Task]

Mission Introduction: Mechanics are a unique occupation. To join, you must pass the Machinist Exam. After passing, you can become a fully-fledged mechanic.

Mission Details: When a single person's contribution level reaches 95% and above, successfully manufacture mechanical products of white level or higher.

Task Deadline: 24 hours.

Mission Reward: Employment as an entry-level mechanic.

Tony's mood lifted when he saw the task description. He had assembled mechanical products since he was a child, and this wouldn't be difficult. But due to the time crunch, he couldn't build the mech he had originally planned. Instead, he would need to make something simpler, something quick to assemble.

He looked at the missile wreckage on the table, and an idea sparked in his mind. "Ethan, help me out. We need to make something else first."

Twelve hours later, thanks to Tony's remarkable hands-on skills, a miniature missile was completed.

[The test starts and the product is judged to be white, with a score of 3. Do you want to submit it?]

Only three points? Tony couldn't believe it. He thought it couldn't be on a five-point scale. Even if it was, three points were barely passing! He clicked on the scoring details.

Crudely Made Micro Missiles

Attack method: Electronic chip detonation, lethality 0-100, completion level 70%.

Evaluation: The electronic micro-missile made by novices without professional equipment has low completion and is prone to malfunctions.

"If I were you, I wouldn't use it even if I were to kill you. It can only kill you." – Legendary Star Sea Mechanic Han Xiao.

Rating: 3 points for white-level items (Note: White-level items are scored from 0-10).

Tony's face twitched as he looked at the evaluation. This was the first time he'd been ridiculed in such a way about weapon manufacturing.

"No! You can't use this for missions!" Tony decided. Forget the mission rewards. He couldn't bear the thought of Han Xiao ridiculing him further.

Seeing Tony pause, then resume working with renewed intensity, Ethan became increasingly worried. Was Tony losing his mind due to the pressure? He couldn't help but think, I'm not a psychiatrist, so I can't be much help here!
