Chapter 5 - Buying Stuff

The dense fog tumbled endlessly through the already weakened window and the whole world seemed to vanish behind it.

The fog encompassed a little black haired boy who was a bit handsome and had fairly bulging muscles who laid snoring away in the expanses of his dream.

Yawn!!

Stretch!!

"Another day to think," said Lin Ziao as he stands up from his bed, stretches and moves out of his room to do his morning routine excerise.

....

.....

......

"Well, just remembered that she isn't cooking today," sighed Lin Ziao as he remembers the events of the previous day. Much to still be done.

He stays in his small and fairly dark room which was somehow illuminated by the light of the rising sun. He sits on a chair and starts to make a list of his necessity in a uh ..... terrible handwriting only understandable to him.

*Things needed and prices *

30 arrows 30 taels of silver

A spear 10 taels of silver

15 nails 6 taels of silver

....

This would be totalling about 45 no..... 46.

I have around 60 taels of silver and that is my life savings.

Ok I'll go, it is all for my survival

...

In the afternoon

Shopkeeper Cai Dong,I have come to buy something in this shop.

"What?Get the fuck out of my shop, you broke thing," said a deep and echoing voice which seemed to originate from inside the shop.

Shopkeeper Cai trust me this time, I am actually not broke.

"At least not now," sighed Lin Ziao

"Come in" said the shopkeeper as the door opened wide inviting Lin Ziao in.

...,....

A scar faced man who seemed strong and healthy appeared from the darkness while lighting the lamps.

"Broke bastard, what's your reason for visiting my shop," said Cai Dong.

Bastard, treat your customers well, at least treat me like a human.

"I would like to buy a spear, 30 arrows and 15 nails," ordered Lin Ziao feeling like he had money for real.

"Is that all? Truly as broke as ever," lamented the shopkeeper feeling the pain and regret of hosting a broke customer .

Only 46 taels of silver!!!

"You son of a bitch, bring my goods" shouted Lin Ziao out of frustration. You dare annoy me continuosly, you need to be taught a lesson.

Hahahaha!!!

Cai Dong goes into his shop to bring out his goods and begins to market it,exhibiting his expertise and experience in commerce.

"This is the Roaring Flame Spear. It was forged by a Fate King Realm cultivator and it has a formation cast in it like my door over there. Its formation provides you with 2 times your power with a duration of 2 minutes for people of your strength, Al's made of pure steel alloy. Its price is 10,000 taels of silver

This beauty over there is called Kem Spear. It goes for 10 taels of silver. Very low quality if you ask me but can hunt beasts down. It comes with a set of spear techniques you can train with.

That one is the local hunting spear. No strength nor enchantment but can take down a non sentient beast.

... ... ..... .... ..

"I would take the Kem Spear,"said Lin Ziao

"What about the arrows?," asked Lin Ziao whilst secretly hoping for them to be cheap and still have quality.

Firstly, we have the Ice arrows popularly used by experienced and skilled hunters in hunting sentient creatures.

They freeze the targeted area for about 7 seconds before become normal arrows upon next use and 1 costs 3 pieces or taels of silver.

Secondly, we have the Stun arrows and it very durable and can change course of flight in the air under the control of a Fate King Realm cultivator. Prices are 1 for 2 pieces of silver.

Lastly, the normal arrows: barely durable,no formation in it, 2 for 1 piece of silver.

Normal wooden nails

3 for 1 silver coin

Metal nails

1 for 1 silver coin

"I choose the Kem Spear,3 Ice arrows, 5 stun arrows and 15 nails totalling 46 I think." said Lin Ziao in a shocked voice indicating his loss of most of his life savings.

*Okay, here are we you bought, broke son of a bitch" said Cai Dong

"I will beat the hell out of you" Screamed Lin Ziao.

"Hahahaha!!," Cai Dong laughed heartily as he continues to harass the now broke Lin Ziao.
