"Time to go" sighed the teenager, Lin Ziao as he listened to the melodious chirping of the birds that were on the branches of a tree.
He had once sat down at the balcony and listened to the chirps of little, lively birds with Qiao Han when he was a bit younger and was bored.
He would often sleep off on his brother's lap but would find himself on the bed when he woke up.
He couldn't help but smile when he remembered the stuff he caught his sister and brother doing.
He had interrupted them in the most mischievous way possible and at the right timing —completely priceless.
He reminisced over the past events, the happy times he had spent with his friends and all the pranks he had played on them.
He took one last look at the place that had once been his home. He was leaving for good, to benefit everyone around him.
He was going to leave his small world behind. He had grown up in this village and basically nothing in the village looked fascinating to him anymore.
He felt partly sad and partly happy leaving — He had some really good memories and some really bad memories here but of course, majority of the memories we're the good ones of times spent with his now broken family.
*Look*
*Here he comes*
"Where is the idiot that got his brother killed going to," mocked the villagers that saw him,
they had always been angry at him since time immemorial and only used his brother's death as an opportunity to mock him.
People who saw him on the street really hated him. It was clearly visible from the expressions they put on when they saw him.
Most of them would take their children into their homes while some would bend down and say some despicable things about Lin Ziao, but he didn't care like the usual— he was already used to it.
To be frank, he really did not feel comfortable leaving a known area, the village, the place he grew up in for another place he knew little to nothing about. No one would feel comfortable doing that.
"Guess it's time I begin my journey to the unknown," said Lin Ziao in an epic voice. He tried desperately to quench the unease that had formed a voice in his head but to no avail.
With gallant steps, he took to the long road that led far away from the village. From time to time, he would look at some places in the village and reveal a row of shiny white teeth as he moved toward the dense expanse of trees before assuming a brave face.
Marching forward, he entered the forest filled with animals of all species, dangerous and mild, domestic and wild.
With a simple bag that carried most of his hunting equipments and food, he walked forward dressed in a worn out shirt which he had been using for quite a long period of time.
Sigh
"I still have to go," said Ziao while taking one last and final look.
